Lovelace: Okay, tell you what: do something for me. Just... count to ten. Without glitching. Prove to me that you can do something right, and I'll leave you alone.
Minkowski: Hera, you don't have to—
Hera: Be quiet, Commander.
(a beat)

Lovelace: That's what I thought.

You guys are all sleeping on post-canon lovecobi friendship btw. The only two people who went through losing everyone they cared about, had the whole identity crisis thing with the clones, they kept getting assigned to go do things together by Kepler and developed a bond over interacting so much off screen, this is shown by how they work together and eventually culminates in Lovelace convincing Jacobi to catch the pod in Crash and Burn, their whole friendship in the show was there just under the surface (and I think it would've been a whole lot more obvious if there wasn't all the plot stuff going on), and post-canon they're the most likely ones to lean on each other and understand what the other went through, come on come on you have to get it

You ever hear that old chestnut about how most people neglect the part of the story of Icarus where he also had to avoid flying too low, lest the spray of the sea soak his feathers and cause him to fall and drown? You ever think about how different the world would be if Icarus died that way instead? If the idiom was to Fly To Close To The Sea? A warning against playing it far too safe, about not stretching your wings and soaring properly? You ever think about how Icarus died because he was happy?
