Ember and her friend Mac were invited to Southern Wesleyan University to present their science fair project. Well they ended up winning 1st place for all elementary schools in Oconee County in the energy division. Super proud of them! We had a rough January so we were not able to celebrate the kid’s Birthdays like we wanted but we tried to make up for it today with a big Birthday Party for all of them! Had to take my mom to the doctor last week and took her to an early dinner afterwards. The hostess said it was early so all their servers were not there yet but we could sit and eat at the bar. We sat down and my mom said, “Lord Jesus Daniel, we can’t sit here, what if the preacher comes in…. Well, I guess he shouldn’t be in here either so I guess I’m ok.” 🤣🤣🤣 One of the many reasons I love her. Happy Birthday mom! You’re the best mom “nanny” and friend anyone could ever hope for. Got to brag on Ember for a minute. She has been taking Ninja Warrior classes and gymnastics for a while but she decided to be brave and enter her first competition. She placed 2nd in her age group. 👏🏻🥈👏🏻 I’m super proud of her. I included a snippet of her run. As we wrap up Birthday week at the Keaton house, We can’t leave out our main man Ezra. Ezra is the definition of happiness. He is the ultimate hype man. Having a down day, go see Ezra. He will tell you how strong you are, how beautiful you are, how much he loves you, how you’re the best. He is joy. He wakes up happy and goes to bed happy. He’s impossible not to love and is exactly who we needed to make our family complete. So thankful and grateful to God that I get to be your dad. The man, the myth, the legend turns 80 today! Thankful for all the leadership and values he instilled in me. He always has a joke and a kind word. Gives great advice. Loves his family and others like Jesus would. He is the best papa to my kids you could ever ask for. Ezra spent the night with my parents last night. He called me from there and this was the conversation: Ezra: Daddy, come pick me up. Me: I’ll be there in an hour or so. Ezra: OK, pick me up in the Jeep. Me: No Buddy, it’s too cold for the Jeep. Ezra: I not a chicken butt, are you a chicken butt? (He learned that language from his mom 😉) Ezra: I dare you. And today was the day he learned not to dare his dad. Ember is just as crazy as I am so she road with me. My oldest Ember got me the coolest Christmas present. She bought me a Lego fender guitar 🎸 and amp and spent a lot of time putting it together for me for my office/music room.
