Tilda took the hand extended towards her, finding a moment of quiet strength within such a simple gesture. It was more than just comforting to know that her friend was there to help. And it hurt. She smiled weakly, unsure if it was truly a good idea to drag her friend into this. Danielle had been nothing but kind to her and Tilda now felt almost as if she was betraying not just her family, but also her friend. “You can tell no one though, do you understand? I thank you for your help, but no one can know about this, about my plan” Running away seemed like a terrible idea, especially now that whispers of a shadow in the East were growing louder. But did the princess of Dale really have any other choice?

Danielle looked across at her friend. She was concerned, of course she was. “Tilda, I’m your friend. Whatever is said between us now shall remain in my confidence.” A hand reached over to her friend’s, as if to make sure she knew that there would always be her support. “Now, please tell me what is troubling you so much.”

Hi everyone! I feel I must explain my lack of activity on here as I know I was trying to come back a bit more but well, some very exciting things have happened recently! 

1. I’ve got a new job starting in a couple of weeks at the archives I work at, which will be more hours.

2. I finally braved it and have started writing a book on Anthony Woodville!! I’ve also been asked by a publisher to pass the first chapter on which has only just been started.

3. I’m actually taking some of the research I’ve done so far to academic conferences! (I can’t believe it really)

4. Some other projects like designing the exhibition on a local Jacobean House is now due to officially be opened in February/March, which means loads of organising in the meantime.

All in all, exciting times! But I will try to get on occasionally and if anyone wants to send messages, feel free. So yeah, I thought you’d all deserve and explanation as to why I’m not here as often now. I still think about you all and I’m not ignoring people, I promise! I’m just super busy at the moment.
