The onset of this new vein of expression actually first came about in 2016, presented in parallel with Art Basel Miami week. Notably, it would be “Government Love is Toxic” that would be the most popular piece and the first to be sold. This mini-series within the larger body of work, in the ongoing FASCINASIA collection of mixed media paintings, was well received. There is a little mystery around this iconic painting, has Robin Rihanna Fenty, actually seen this portrait? It was said to be requested and sent to Rihanna back in 2015, yet now her Managemet and legal representation say they have it in there office. The painting entitled “Rihanna Golden Girl” 48” by 36” has been popular with the clients & supporters of its creator Daniel Stanford. In a face to face meeting Stanford met with Jay Brown at Roc Nation Los Angeles offices’, where he was told Rihanna has the painting in her possession at one of her homes, no further details could be given. None of Stanford requests for more interaction or promotion of the Portrait painting were ever obliged in almost 5 years. Daniel always thought it was strange that there was no feedback from the recording artist herself? Did Rihanna actually get the painting or did Roc Nation hold on the valuable Art painting for some reason, seeing as they now officially claim it’s been in their office since it was sent over by their request back in September of 2015? According to Stanford legal representation the e-mail response from Rihanna & Roc Nation Lawyer there claim is that it is in there office and can be sent back. In any case “Rihanna Golden Girl” the Art asset has been held hostage for all this time, so naturally it’s creator asked for payment. Rihanna’s PR firm failed to respond to Stanford e-mail communications. It is unclear how this will be settled? Clearly it’s been mis-handled by Miss Fenty’s representation, surprising for a Celebrity of her stature.
