Chapter 10 - I will live for you

 The young vampire is still around and he has been studying the property, I have tried to join forces to use my power, or as I spoke to my children, my gift on him to enter the house. It has been very tiring, but little by little I am succeeding.  With the arrival of the night and everyone going to sleep I managed to get him to enter the mansion and get closer to me, when I saw he had his hand on the door.

 When I opened the door I saw a young man, not so young with blond hair and his clothes, I knew well from what period “I haven't seen another like me in a while” I smile sideways “I know these clothes well, you are an aristocrat, you must be about two hundred years old or so ”  The young man observes him "Yes, my name is Vladimir and yours?"  "Neil" he stands and shows his hands "Would you mind helping me?"  Vladimir puts his cane aside and approaches to release the chains, he was watching him closely.  "If you are curious to know what happened it is better to forget, just know that I was locked up here, tortured myself for years besides being badly fed" Neil spoke with his eyes down trying not to touch his wound "And you? Why are you here?"  Vladimir walks away "I try to find a place to live, I'm tired of running from place to place"  "Besides being allergic to the moon?" Neil asks using his gift.  "How do you know?" Vladimir asks and Neil smiles "As a human, I was allergic to the sun and now after being transformed, I lost my freedom at night I became allergic to moonlight, so I wanted a place to live to stop running away"  "If you want you can have this mansion" Neil manages to dominate Vlad "The only thing you have to do is kill the two humans who are here, these two bastards have tortured me all this time and now they must pay!"  "If I do that, will I be able to live here?" Vlad asks.  "Yes, besides that I can heal you, give you back your night freedom" Neil answers  "Like?" Vlad asks.  "Will you do this?" Neil answers him questioning  "Yes" Vladimir answers him  "You should just feed on my blood and it will temporarily heal you to stay under the moon" Neil replies by stretching his arm and exposing his wrist, Vlad looks at him and then bites him, Neil smiles because his domain is complete, Vladimir lets him go turns and goes towards the door.  What I heard after that was just screams from them, Cassandra was desperate and begged for mercy, that she had a daughter to take care of and after that I only heard the blood gushing and her body falling to the ground struggling to breathe.  Jefford, he wanted him to suffer, I made Vladimir attack him very rambling, he ran to the edge of the forest, he limped, bleeding, and begged for mercy, until he couldn't hear and feel them anymore, he had lost until the connection with Vladimir, but my orders had been specific that he should kill him slowly and so he did.  When he returned to the mansion he only smelled their blood, but he did not hear the child's cry. It was over and I could no longer control Vladimir.  When he arrived at my meeting he said “I managed to stay in the moonlight, but it's over!” he shows the allergy wound "You said you would heal me and I am not cured"  "Yes, I will heal you, but when I get stronger and you eat again it will become permanent" Neil replies "You will have to bring food to heal me"  "Why don't you go get it yourself?" Vlad questions him  “Now that it's all over, I'm going to embernar” Neil sits on the bed “I'll be able to heal in peace, without being tortured again and when I wake up you will feel it” he looks at Vladimir “And when I'm fully healed, I'll keep my promise and go away ”  "Where?" Vladimir asks  “Close to the sea” he takes the diary, looks at him and smiles “They wanted to know the sea” he speaks softly “But now it is impossible and I will have to live for them” tears flow down his face, covered by his hair “It was the that she had asked me ”he looks at the photo of the twins“ It was what she wanted, that I should continue to live ”.  Vladimir turns around and walks out the door without understanding “Okay, I'll wait until that day”  "What did you do with the baby?" Neil asks  Vladimir looks at Neil, he was confused because he had found a child and a baby, but it ended what Neil would tell him to do with the children if he knew, so he said “I took him away, don't worry, this family will never return mistreat anyone ”he turns to the door and leaves.

 My chains were broken and I had achieved my much desired freedom, but the price was too high, they had killed my children and I was alone again. I wanted death, but I couldn't die because her last wish was for us to live, for me to live and for that reason I will have to live for you.  He would never again be arrested and used as a lab rat and that if someone like me is arrested and used again, I will personally slaughter the jailers, I will never let them do to others what they did to me. These sick and psychopaths will be wiped out of the land and I will do this until one day I am killed, until one day I find them.

 In my hibernation I know that I will have great dreams, because they will be with me and this will be my life, but when I wake up and return here, this will be my nightmare. Many judged me for what I did, but no one will know what I went through, no one will know how painful it is to live each day without that which turned your darkness into light, without that which gave you hope, without knowing the truth about me and about everything and say they know everything, but I won't care, because those two knew and I know it too, and that's what will matter to me.  I am Neil Light and that was my sad story; I said I would burn this drug, but it is full of my memories with them and I will keep them forever and when my day comes I will die with him and pray that I can see them again ...

Fanfic - Neil's Chains - Chapter 9

Chapther 9 - Revenge

   June 30, 2002

   I haven't seen my children for two months, I am stuck here, gagged, chained and being tortured, Jefford does it personally, he is full of hatred, fury and ambition. He doesn't feed me anymore, he just drugged me and told me that my children thought I had abandoned them, that I hated them and that I would never want to see two monsters like them again, he said that Lukka didn't believe she said that he he lied to them, that I would return to protect them from him, that we would see the sea together and that irritated him.  He told me how beautiful and strong his daughter was, that Cassandra came to hate the twins, that they were just stuck in the room and that they would be his next experiments, since one day they would become immortal like their father.  My desire was to break his neck, but I didn't even have the strength to move anymore, I just knew that he was trying to kill me, that he was pushing me to the limit to do that.  The only thing that was giving me strength, or that helped me to preserve my strength was my children and every time Cassandra came to do the research with her husband I tried to convince her, but he dissuaded her from what she was talking about and just against the boys and I could only watch the scene. Everything was bad but I know it can get worse and that was all I wanted to avoid.

 Their daughter speaks for three months and it is the same time that I don’t see mine, I miss them so much, the only thing I miss about them is this diary with their memories of the last eight years together with some photos I took of them and I hid, I love to spend my night reading and watching them, sometimes I was in tears for them, just thinking if they were well, fed properly, sleeping well or being happy, my God, how I miss them.  Earlier today I heard screams near my door, screams that came from Jefford saying something about ending everything and Cassandra just telling him to calm down that it would be over, she would end them without pain, after sleeping. I despaired, I knew what it was about, I was struggling, screaming and crying but all in vain, I was in the basement too deep to hear me, so I concentrated on listening to try to hear them, hear everything that happened up there and the that I heard will torment me for the rest of my life.

 Jefford was screaming and banging on the door, Lukka was huddled in a corner of the room with Gil.  "Calm down, everything will be fine, okay, everything will be fine, our father will soon appear" she said and I tried to pull the chains out of my arms.  "Open the damn door, I just want to talk to you" Jefford roared outside.  "I had an idea" Lukka spoke very softly "Come with me" they went to the window where she opened and left then took her brother's hand and pulled it out.  “Lukka what are you doing? Because it got in my head ”Gil asked quietly crying.  "Something that our father asked to do, it will protect us" she replied. I realized that she didn't do it because she wanted to, but because I compelled her to do it. They went down and went down in the garden, then Lukka took his hand and said in tears “Run and hide, I will delay you, I will take care of you and you must disappear, do not let anyone ever arrest you or say that you not able or weak, that you are very strong and courageous, that you are happy and that you never forget me, I love you bro ”with those words Gil let go of his hand and started running, I realized that she had compelled the brother unconsciously and he disappeared into the forest, farther and farther away, and she stood there in the garden just crying and Jefford closer to her “Where are you” he was screaming for the house.  "We are here" Lukka shouted at him  "Pestinha don't make things worse!" he stops in front of her “Where's your brother, your monster”  “Away from that damn place” she said to him “You think I don't know that my father is trapped down here, that you tortured him, that my mother only had us to arrest him here. I know that we were the chains that kept him here all these years and that if it weren't for that he would have already left or died. We will no longer be these chains, no matter what! My only wish is that he lives and gets rid of you ”  “Silly child, everything will be over” he laughs “I came to break these chains and slaughter the creature in the cellar” he approaches “I know you are just an ordinary girl now and that makes my job easier, believe me”  Lukka runs into the forest and Jefford shoots her leg that falls and crawls across the floor, after that I only hear a blow after a blow after a blow and then a little sigh followed by a difficulty in breathing “Now only the other who is well is missing near here, with those little legs he won't go very far ”Jefford speaks in a voice of joy“ And as for you, it will become animal food ”he holds her and drag her through the forest until I can’t hear anymore, until I lose all my hopes.

  When he went to the basement to see me, I smelled it, he knew the smell of my children's blood very well, he was soaked by it. These motherfucker, bastard was laughing, bragging about what he had done and he said that I would be next, that two more short weeks and I would be with them.  All I could do was cry, my wrists were bleeding, my clothes were soaked with my blood, my hair was tousled and I was lying on the floor crying, desperate and dead. They had given me hope, given me a family and now I had taken it. I asked Cassandra about it and she just said that she was not the mother of any monster, that they were already dead even before she was born and that her real life would start now, with her real daughter. It was then that I realized that she had betrayed us again, not only to me, but also to her children, her own blood. I just shouted to them that I would take revenge, I would take revenge on all of them and for everything they did to me, they did to them and abandoned me in that basement.

 I am a terrible father, I let my children be killed by a psychopath I lived with them, I gave them everything I wanted, I kept our agreements, but even so they took them away from me they betrayed me again. I swore that I would take revenge and that I would end them all.   Today I heard that someone had arrived at the house who had just recovered but had lost his memories and would hardly ever recover them and Jefford was planning to get rid of her again. The guy is a tremendous psychopath, he just wants to kill and kill and kill, then we were the monsters.

Chapter 8 - Freedom is Near

 July 3, 2001

 I promised that I would help Cassandra generate and give birth to a child, but this will be something a little more difficult, the good thing is that the boys have reduced the amount of blood intake which has helped me a lot. After Jefford's beating I found out that the Dhampirs have an extremely accelerated cure so much that you can hear their skin healing, it is activated when they feed if they are injured and this is a very good thing, because even the oldest vampires like me, they have this kind of ability, with this kind of gift they will be invincible during a fight, they will always be with a lot of food and with a charged force.

 August 19, 2001

 It has been a month since Cassandra has been feeding on my blood and her relationship with her husband has improved, but with that she has moved away from our children, I think it is so that she will not suffer when we leave and neither will the children. I have found this very noble attitude on her part and with that Jefford has also calmed down, but he has not stopped being a psychopath with us.

 Cassandra has been feeling bad lately, a lot of nausea and some fainting, I believe it has been because of my blood, maybe it is better to stop giving her every day. Jefford took her for an appointment to find out what's going on with her. Sometimes I ask them to have an accident and not to come back to torment us, ever again.

 Cassandra is finally pregnant, Jefford has treated her like a queen and to stay away from me he has held me more in my room and the children in their room, when they ask questions he hits them and they are only allowed to leave the room to go school or going out with Dyton, which at least has calmed me down, he takes them to the chalet on the edge of the property and Lukka told me that he has been teaching them to play instruments and she is the best at violin and piano, Gil he didn't fall in love with it, he likes to carve more and is very good at it.  Being stuck with Cassi, she has to rest and not stress or strain, but that has not helped because she started bleeding again, the doctors said she would lose the baby and this time she would never be able to get pregnant again, because his body, his uterus couldn't take it anymore and that was why he was dying.

 Jefford has been desperate lately and has become aggressive with everyone again, said he could help, but he wanted my partial freedom for now and he would have his much desired son with it. He reluctantly accepted, but I was able to stay with my children again all night.  I gave my blood back to Cassandra and she got stronger, the bleeding stopped and she can walk around the house, Jefford has been doing the experiments with me and I still maintain that feeling that he is very strange as if he were more greedy and was getting more and more that more unbearable.

 Today is Christmas and as Cassandra is doing well Jefford invited me to spend the night with him because Cassi would tell the boys that they would have a little brother.

 Lukka runs and hugs his father “Daddy! Will you stay with us today? ”  “Yes dear” he picks her up “Today we will have great news for you” Gil finishes getting ready and goes to his father too. Gil was linked to his father, but not as much as Lukka, she was his most loved girl and what he says to her was very sacred, there was nothing that could separate these two.  "We will?" Neil asks the two of them and they agree and go towards the door, leave and go down the stairs. After the beating Jefford gave Gil, the twins did not detach from their father or leave their mother's side when he was in the same room. We enter the small hall and the children run to the mother “Merry Christmas mom!” they yell at her and hug her, look at Jefford “Merry Christmas Uncle Jeff” they speak softly.  "Children have a surprise for you" Jefford tells them to approach and they retreat behind their mother "Don't be afraid" he says  "Jefford, you know very well that they are afraid of you" Cassandra tells her husband who just sits in the armchair. Neil sits by the fireplace just watching everything that happens.  Cassandra takes the hand of her children and looks into their eyes "Mommy has some good news for you" the twins only look at each other "Did you know you are going to have a little brother or sister?"  Gil smiles "Are you and Dad going to have another baby?"  Cassandra looks at Neil and then at her husband "No boys, mommy is Uncle Jeff's wife" she rubs their faces "So that's Uncle Jeff's baby and not Daddy's"  "And when will he be born?" Lukka asks  "In a few months and you will be able to meet him or her" she replies  “But it's not just that” Neil speaks from the background “The three of us are going to travel after your brother is born”  "Where are we going?" They ask  "Too far" Neil says "We will take a long time to come back"  Lukka looks at his brother and smiles "We never went to the sea, can we go to meet him?" They run to the father who smiles “Of course, my love”  Jefford makes a face of disgust and fury and Neil realizes "Boys why won't you see what you have won?" the children look at each other and run to the tree.  "As well?" Jefford speaks furiously  "Cassandra and I made a deal" Neil replies "A son for our freedom"  "But I never ..." Jefford starts to speak but is cut off by Cassandra "It doesn't matter if you agree or not, they will leave after that because our research is over and that was the agreement we made with him seven years ago back ”Jefford just looks at her and leaves the room.  "I'm sorry, but we will keep our promise, don't worry" Cassandra tells Neil.

In the following months Cassandra tried to stay away, but present in the boys' lives, because soon they would be separated as long as they lived. She knew that I would never let her or the psychopath see us again.

 April 25, 2002

 The boys stopped feeding on blood because they turned eight and they went back to being human to grow up to maturity, when they are ready to become what they were born to be, but something has been bothering me, as if something very serious was happen, as if it hadn’t already happened, for this reason, compelled Lukka to change Gil’s memories and if necessary, even though he’s no longer half a vampire, this side of them can wake up briefly to protect them and then go back to sleep until the expected day, for that she would know exactly the moment when she should do it and that way they would be safe and live a normal life, in fact i have been thinking a lot about it lately, letting them live a common life until they wake up and from that moment and we would live together for all eternity ...

 Cassandra went into labor and as I was the only one who knew how to deliver a baby I had to help Cassandra, it all took more than two hours until a little girl with black hair and very white skin was born, Jefford started to cry and I knew very well how it was that feeling of seeing a little thing like that being born and being connected to you, Cassi also cried, she hadn't even cried when our children were born, she knew that the feeling was different because those two loved each other and wanted it for a long time, Cassandra called her Eloise and as soon as I saw that everything was fine I went to my children and gave them the news and I also told them to leave things tidy that at any moment we would part, but I was mistaken, when I went to the room I felt only one needle penetrate my neck and the words "You never left this house".  When I woke up I was chained and gagged. One thing I knew, that was what my instinct was talking about, the feeling that everything was going to get worse and I would soon know why ...

Chapter 7 - As time went by  

March 22, 1997

 My boys are three years old today and they were the three most wonderful years of my life. Every day they become stronger and more intelligent. They were the gift they sent me to minimize my suffering and anguish. I thank you every day for having them in my life.  I do not believe that they exist and that they are mine ... it seems that at some point I will wake up from a dream that will end my life, my will to exist. If that happens, I will definitely end my life.

March 22, 1998

 My gifts are now four years old and they are getting bigger and more cute. Sometimes I feel like hiding them somewhere so that no one can find them and hurt them because they are my most precious things.  I don't have anything else to give them, I just learned to sew and do some different things for them from old rags. Usually, I make some fantasies and play warriors, fairies, princesses, white knights and - Lukka's favorite - the tea party. Some time ago I would think this was a ridiculous thing to do, but today it is what I love to do most, especially when my daughter comes running towards me to hug me and ask me to play with her - I end up not resisting and soon she. Gil's favorite game is playing a warrior who defeats a monster - he is always the warrior and I am the monster, but not in the same way that most humans see us, but in a fun way. In the end we laughed a lot with these games. This is when they do not want to play in the garden in the middle of the clay because afterwards to make these two take a bath it is an almost impossible mission - they run all over the garden, this when they do not enter the house scattered with clay everywhere.  My only wish each day is that they don't grow up, that they remain children forever, to live that kind of life forever - it's something I would never complain about.

 The boys are already five years old and will start attending school together with Dyton's daughters. They said they were going to make a fort on the edge of the property, so they could spend a few days there. I wanted to help so much, but these motherfuckers won't let me and that will only be an excuse for them to torture me more.  But something is different, they seem more ambitious. During one of their ‘research’ I heard them talking about discovering the key to curing death and obtaining immortality without having to pay the price of hiding under the night and eating blood. When I heard that my blood froze, something in me told me to take my children and disappear from that place, because we would never leave there alive.

 Jefford returned to charge Cassandra about the children he wanted. She said that if they didn't, it was because she, possibly, could no longer bear children - perhaps as a punishment for having two children of a vampire - and that most women would have died in childbirth. But she was alive and that was so she could feel the pain they were inflicting.  After hearing these words he became very aggressive towards me, the twins and his wife. Several times I caught them with some bruises - my blood was boiling but there was nothing I could do for lack of food and thanks to my wounds. The only thing I can do is to let him hurt me; let him ease his anger at me so he can leave them alone, so he can hurt us or worse ... kill them.

 That bastard is getting more and more violent towards all of us. Cassandra has vented with me; she says that she misses when he was kind to her, that she wished to return to the past to set me free or that she had opened her eyes at that time, that if she had done that, maybe we would be together somewhere dominating the night . It was what I used to think too ... now I no longer have that desire, because I saw what it really is. I just see her today as the woman who fathered my children. I believe that what I had for her died when she abandoned them, because I could bear to use myself, but I would never let them use my children. For that reason I think I will have to give another reason for Jefford to be calmer and, for that, I will have to help the one I once loved and betrayed me...

Neil goes to the small salon to find one that can help protect his children “Cassandra, I need to talk to you, this is very important”  Cassandra was next to Jefford who just stares at him very furiously, he gets up huffing and leaves the room hitting the party and shouting at the children playing in the hall. She gives a start and starts to cry.  "I'm sorry, it has been a little difficult for me, he has been pressuring me so much because of the son so desired" she says  "That's what I wanted to talk to you about" Neil throws a bomb at her "Maybe I can help you with this, but it will have to be in secret"  "As well?" she asks  "Do you remember when you said my blood had helped you get pregnant?" He reminds her and she just agrees "So, I will give you my blood so that it helps you get pregnant again, but you must promise me that Jefford will not touch my children again"

 While Cassandra and I talked about the issue of their future son, Jefford returned to the hall where the twins were playing and, in an outbreak, he just started hitting Gil violently. Lukka started to scream and cry in despair because he had thrown him on the wall and when he fell Jefford stopped on top of him and started kicking him. Lukka ran desperately to the small room where we were. She was crying a lot and was in despair. When I saw that, I knew something had happened and I headed for the hall. When I saw the scene I just launched myself against him and we started to fight. Even though I was weak, I was still stronger than him, until I threw him away he hit his head and passed out. When I turned to Gil he was bleeding a lot, his bones were broken and he was crying a lot. That's when I made Cassandra promise me that if I gave them what they wanted so much, a child, as soon as he was born, they would set us free. She agreed and that was when I decided that I would make it happen regardless of the cost. I had to get rid of them because the only certainty I had was that if we stayed in that mansion, the three of us, me and my children, would most certainly die ...

Fanfic - Neil's Chains - Chapter 6

Chapter 6 -  Gifts that unite them

March   30 , 1996

 The beating that Jefford gave me, ended me, but the daily tortures took about a week to get me back because they ended up with me. As for the children, Cassandra told me they were asking about me, that Lu did not leave the room and just cried asking me to go back to her, that even Gil could not cheer her up, besides another thing that worried me, was that I couldn't anymore give my blood for them to feed and that was dangerous. I pray that I can get better soon so I can get back to them.

April   02 , 1996

 I realized today that I will not get better anytime soon, so I asked Cassandra to talk to Dyton he will know what to do.

 When she came back from the city she said that she had left the twins with him, that would give me time to get better and that he also had children the same age as them. It brought me peace because they were far from this sadistic nut.

April   22 , 1996

 I finally managed to move, get up and get ready to get out of this damn place and I'm so anxious to see my boys again, my hopes, that I barely saw their time passing through the hall door and I sat right there on the stairs to wait for them.

 When Dyton arrived with the lentai children like lightning and I took them in my arms, I couldn't take so much emotion when I saw them again that I started to cry, because it was a very long month without seeing them.

 I thanked my old friend immensely for everything he did to my children, there would be no way to repay this debt with him. Soon Cassandra appeared in the hall, followed by her psychopath, Dyton tried to shorten the visit but before Cassandra asked him to bring his daughters to play with ours or pose in the mansion and that he could do whatever he wanted on the property he thanked him and left , I took advantage of the situation and went up to one of the rooms and spent the whole night with my children.

November   17 , 1996

 I have been feeding the twins with my blood and varied where I have put it, but Lukka always knows where it is and attacks as if she is hungry, I have also noticed that she is having trouble sleeping if she doesn’t get better I will have to use my powers to know what it has afflicted her, as for Gil there are some days that he seems far away, distant from everyone as if I have been somewhere else the days are rare, but I have still observed that. For these reasons, I asked Dyton to bring his daughters here, maybe that will help them a little.

 “Children, we have visits! Neil is for you too ”Cassandra screams down there.

 “Let's go! Mama ”the children scream.

 Cassi had led to the small room where everyone would be the will. Meanwhile the children down the stairs at full speed toward the hall and Neil there behind smiling because of the children. When they get there they are surprised.

 "I do not think that really came BOCE" Neil 's a big hug his friend.

 "Uncle Dy " the twins jump on Dyton to hug him.

 "How are you?" he asks putting them on the floor.

 "We are very well!" they answer it.

 Dyton looks behind the couch "I brought more people with me today"

 They look behind the sofa and shout "BECCA, KAT YOU'VE COME"

 "Why don't you go play with them?" Neil asks and the children just agree and go to the back of the room.

 Having Dyton around was comforting, he had adopted the children as godchildren and whatever happened to them, he should be the first to know. When their daughters were daughters of Druids they were also more developed than normal humans, as a matter of fact all children of supernatural beings grow faster. Rebecca and Katarina were twins too and were the same age as Lukka and Gilthunder. With this visit I took the opportunity to talk about Lukka, Dyton said that his powers were close to awakening and that this was normal and that he should be ready because at any moment she would show me him.

 Dyton talked to you for a long time, so much so that when we saw the children had fallen asleep, Lukka was sweating and Rebecca too, both sleeping next to each other. Before leaving, he gave me some herbs that would help her to stop it, until I taught her to use them, I just thanked him and he left and I took the boys to the room, when I put Lukka I felt like my body was floating and everything around me was getting cloudy, I tried to concentrate and managed to see what it was.

Chapter 1 - The Betrayal

July 13, 1993

Beliath Chapter 10 Positive End Takeaways

First and foremost:

Who dies? JUST ASMODEE! Not even Leandra. Not even Neil. Everyone is alive and happy. 

How does it end? After Asmodee is killed, Neil runs off to live his life after Asmodee’s blood restored his power. Leandra absorbed her power. Beliath turns Eloise into a vampire several days after. 

The chapter starts with Beliath being angry about what Asmo did to Leandra. He thinks Leandra may still be alive and is being used as a hostage/bait. Immediately, Beliath wants to go after her and although Eloise doesn’t fully agree with it, she refuses to leave him by himself. They follow the trail of blood into the swamp and as they’re walking, Eloise thinks about Leandra. She’s surprised when Beliath hears her and answers her out loud. Eloise realizes that they can communicate telepathically with ease. They plan to use this to their advantage. 

Asmodee ambushes them and wins. She tells them that the others can’t come save them because she allied herself with Neil and he’s in the manor as they speak. Beliath is taken hostage and Eloise has no choice but to go back and see what happened to the other boys. When she returns, she finds Raphael, Vladimir, and Ivan badly injured. More surprisingly, she finds they’ve captured Neil and kept him alive. Knowing that their numbers are now low and how strong Asmodee is, Eloise gets the idea to make her own alliance with Neil. They all talk to him and he expresses his desire for revenge and survival. After what Eloise’s parents did to him, he hates humans because he’ll never be able to restore his power. Raphael suggests that Neil drinks Asmodee’s blood to restore himself. It’s enough for Neil to agree to help them. 

Ethan, Neil, and Eloise all go after Asmodee while Aaron stays in the manor to guard the injured boys. We get a bit on Ethan’s backstory. It’s confirmed he was in a war, but not a soldier. He brought a gun with him to use against Asmodee, saying it’s always helped him. He also is willing to risk his life for Beliath. Neil talks to Eloise and suggests that she drink his blood to gain temporary power. Ethan doesn’t trust this, but the choice is ultimately up to the player. I trusted Neil and it worked. 

When they arrive at the swamp again, Neil goes up to Asmodee and speaks to her. She’s converted the swamp into some hellish ritual area, complete with an altar that Beliath is tied to for sacrifice. As she’s about to hurt him, Ethan makes the first move to attack and the battle breaks out. Eloise and Neil fight Asmodee while Ethan tries to free Beliath. Asmodee shakes them off and goes after Ethan and Beliath, but Ethan shoots her in the head. It does minimal damage, but Leandra joins the fight and Beliath is able to be freed. Neil stabs Asmodee with the dagger that Aaron gave them last chapter and drinks her blood. She’s still alive and fighting after this, but Neil got what he needed and so he leaves. It’s up to Leandra, Bel, and Eloise now as Ethan gets knocked out by Asmodee. Beliath is able to attack Asmodee and eventually stabs her through the heart with the dagger, Leandra helping him. Asmodee dies and turns to ash as Leandra absorbs her power. 

Beliath and Eloise return to the manor and a few days later, Beliath tells her that he doesn’t want her to be a chalice anymore. She is a creature of the night and he wants her to be a companion, or a vampire. She agrees (no choice), and the chapter ends.

How do the LIs (+Leandra please 🥺) react if Mc attacks them with surprise hugs/cuddles? (hc)

He’s almost always caught off-guard. Small hugs, big hugs, random hugs. He doesn’t necessarily know what to do with open affection outside the privacy of his room, but he enjoys it. If the surprise cuddles are a regular occurrence, he learns to anticipate them.

Beware, he will try to grope, or turn the cuddle session into something steamier. If his partner doesn’t mind, that’s fine, but if it’s cuddle session, they need to be firm about it. He’ll whine, but he actually enjoys it a lot.

He makes the most adorable surprised sounds when he gets ‘attacked’, but will easily reciprocate with a laugh. Being touch-starved is a bit of a bitch, he’ll admit, and the warmth of a human just wants him to take a cuddle-nap in a blanket nest.

Aaron is big, and very huggable. His hearing is potentially even better, and makes him even harder to sneak up on, but that makes the successful surprise attack even more powerful. That being said, should one deposit themselves on his lap and demand cuddles, he’s not likely to turn them down, but the attacker should be prepared to be treated like a glorified teddy bear.

Oh, this one. This one will complain, and bitch about being surprised and how he hates it—all the while wrapping his arms around the ‘attacker’ and not letting go for a good while. Just let him bitch about it, and let his body actions speak the truth instead.

It’s nearly impossible to sneak up on Raphael, he will hear the approach. That being said, he will allow the surprise cuddle arrack with a chuckle. Knowing him, it’ll probably end up with MC in his lap reading him out loud while he rests his head on their shoulder, with arms wrapped around them.

She’s a lot like Beliath, but worse, because just pure affection confuses and maybe even scares her. She will try to make the situation sexual, very adamantly ignoring any warm and fuzzy feelings bubbling in her chest, hoping that if she ignores them hard enough, she won’t catch feelings.

Hooo boy he does NOT like his authority challenged. That’s too bad—he had eighteen years between the parents and Eloise to be the king of the jungle, and now he better step down. He’d clash with Eloise, probably most out of everyone, and every time he would need to be reminded that he maybe shouldn’t piss of a host that’s graciously allowing them all to stay for basically free. Don’t like the rules? The door’s right there, buddy.

Beliath

Of course he tries to flirt with her. It’s just a human girl, what can she do anyway? She’ll realize it’s their house and go away eventually. Except, no, she doesn’t. Days tick by, he gets chewed out for ruining a ‘perfectly good antique room’, and before he knows it, Eloise has been here for months, she’s been running this shitshow more efficiently than Vladimr ever has (money and a valid ID have their perks), and Beliath finds himself respecting her to his surprise.

Ivan

Ivan would honestly take it as a relief. The others aren’t necessarily—nice to him, let’s say. With Eloise in place, he’d have o avoid her, sure, but she brings the fresh breath of logic into the house. Need blood? Go to the hospital. Need live prey? Hunt a fucking deer, she saw one this evening. He didn’t even realize that a no-nonsense attitude was exactly what he needed. Where five vampires failed to help him settle after his turbulent initial period as a vampire, one very unimpressed human girl throwing blood packs at his face somehow manages to.

Aaron

Few people refuse to back down when faced against him, and even less just straight into offensive. For the longest time he’s lived though, women weren’t really taking all that active role in much, unless they were outliers. He’s not sure if Eloise is an outlier or women in the current days are all this fierce, but no matter what he’s instinctively try, Eloise will remain highly unimpressed. She carries herself and acts like an Alpha of the pack, even if subconsciously, and Aaron falls in step with it before he even realizes. And Alpha is a caretaker, and she’s honestly the only one with actual resources to back up her authority.

Ethan

He kinda hates her, he’s not gonna lie, but he also kinda appreciates her no-nonsense flippant approach to everything. It’s clear to him that she gave up at making sense of the world, and just choose to roll with it, but she seems to actually be making pretty good sense of all of this, all things considered. He does get yelled at, though, and often. He refuses to admit it’s a little scary. But she got him a proper medical kit, stacked and updated, so can he even say he hates her?

Raphael

He tries to de-escalate the conflict. Hell, he tries to manipulate Eloise into giving up and just complying with their rules, so as she doesn’t hurt herself. But here’s the thing—mind powers have a proportional chance of working to the strength of the target’s personality. And the only thing his attempts do to Eloise is make her direct her anger at him, and he has to admit that being chewed out by her is definitely not pleasant. He was trying to deescalate the conflict by making her complacent, but he realizes that maybe it wasn’t the best way. She clearly does better running the show.

Neil

Don’t go to the basement, they said. Well, Vladimr said, and then left it unlocked. And then Eloise went to the basement, got into screaming match with Neil, made some revelations, got incredibly pissed off at her parents—what the Hell was wrong with them—yelled at Neil some more, and, well—

Of course he’s scared she’ll turn out like her parents, so he’s keeping an eye on her, but she seems more interested in throwing blood packs at their faces, so maybe she’s not all that terrible?
