Dannie let out a small breath of relief when she realized that Chanel wasn’t the one who hurt the other blonde. She stopped forward again, then put one of her hands on Chanel’s arm comfortingly. “Chanel... I’m sorry you had to witness that, but.... Babe, that doesn’t mean that you’re going to hurt me.” 

Unwelcome Thoughts -- Channie

Chanel licked her lips, “Shay wanted to see what the fuss was about on some party on campus, so we went and San and her where there. She went to the bathroom and before we knew it, we were… She… She was ra-raped..”

Dannie didn’t really understand what Chanel was telling her. She didn’t think that Chanel would hurt some random girl. But her brain made that the connection because Chanel had come to her afraid that she was going to hurt her again. She knew better than to ask about that thought. So just to be sure she asked another question. “How did she end up in the hospital?”

Chanel felt a lump in her throat as she noticed the change in her girlfriend. She took a deep breath as she sniffed, “I a-am… I just… Santana was with her girl and she left f-for 5 minutes and n-now..” She groaned lightly as she let out a soft sob, “S-she’s in the hospital..”

Dannie’s worried smile fell. She let her hands drop from Chanel’s shoulders and fought the urge to stop back. “You’ve been getting help though... Right? I mean... You’re not going to do it again... You’ve been doing so much better... Or at least.... I thought you were.”

Chanel sniffed as she felt her girlfriend touch her, she looked up at her and held back a sob. She took in a deep breath, “I’m scared… I’m scared of hurting you again on a bad day… That’s why… T-that’s why I don’t want to move back in… I can’t protect you, if I-i’m the threat..”

Dannie was just finishing up wiping the tables, and there was no one else in the diner at that point. She looked up when the bell at the door rang. The sigh of Chanel’s tears on her cheeks, made Dannie drop the spray bottle and the towel she was using the wipe the tables. She hurried over to her girlfriend and put her hands on Chanel’s shoulders. “Chanel, what’s wrong?”

“Okay, I’m here.” Chanel said as she walked through the dinner’s door before hanging up. She had been on her way since before she called her girl. She had ran from the hospital and stopped to blocks away from the dinner to catch her breath and call her girl. Ever since she saw Allie in the bed her head wouldn’t leave her alone about what her girlfriend might have looked when that happened to her. She felt so helpless, that they had Allie surrounded and something like this happened made her feel like she couldn’t protect her girlfriend even if she tried with everything she had. She hadn’t noticed she tears were slidding down her face as she remembered she had already hurt Dannie ones before.

Call -- Princess

Chanel: Yeah.... I just need to see you..

Dannie: Okay, come pick me up then.

Chanel: I'm on my way actually... [clears her throat.] how about a hotel, just us?

Dannie: A hotell is fine too. Are you sure you're okay babe?

Call -- Princess

Chay: Okay, I just wanted to make sure you were okay... Can I see you after that? Maybe you and me can find a place, just for us tonight?

Dannie: Yeah I'm fine. You can stop by here to make sure if you want. Well, we can always go to the loft.

Chay: [sighs softly] Hey, where are you?

Dannie: Eddy's, but I get out in like ten minutes. Is everything okay?

[Ringing]

Dannie: Hey you.

Dannie shook her head. “I think it’s probably better for you to stay with her, cause she is getting really close to her due date, and you should be there when her water brakes.”

Channie

Chanel kissed back, “okay, I love you too.” She kissed Dannie’s forehead, “I will spend this weekend over here okay?”

Well it’s only a trip to the grocery store, and she acts like a 3 year old around candy and junk food so I’m getting a work out.

Dannie laughed then dipped her hand across her forehead. “That’s a good thing.” She said with a sigh. “Are you and Ashley going to throw a celebration party? Cause I know you planned that all along.” She teased.

Dannie shook her head. “Please don’t ever be sorry for being the good friend that you are. It’s part of why I love you. I saw it in the way you took in Molly, and now in the way you’re helping Adriana. Your kind heart is showing, and it’s beautiful.” She said softly as they turned the corner onto the street where Blake lived, and where they were meeting up with the other girl’s.
