CropTelligence
After we presented our business model canvas on July 10, 2023, we were then tasked to interview another set of respondents with another set of questions to further improve and validate our proposed venture. The five of us in our group worked together to make new set of questions to be handed out to our target market. Then, we made the following steps.
I. The Hypothesis📋
Farmers will use the app for their convenience since the app will offer a lot of features that surely help to farm related activities.
II. Hypothesis Testing📝
Our group tested the hypothesis through a combination of close-ended and open-ended survey questionnaires to better identify the results. We were tasked to interview another respondents from our potential target market, all of which are farmers.
These are the questions we used in the survey.
• Are you a Farmer? Yes or No?
If yes, what kind of farmer are you? Lowland Farmer, Upland Farmer, or a Livestock Farmer?
• What problems do you usually encounter in farming?
• Do you find it hard to wait for weeks or months in testing the soil fertility of your farm?
• Do you find it more convenient if there is an app or device that could make the process more faster?
• If those problems can be solved by our proposed application, how will you rate the application’s usefulness on a scale of 1 to 5? ( 5 as the highest rate and 1 as the lowest).
• How likely will you use the said application? On a scale of 1 to 5 ( 5 as the highest rate and 1 as the lowest).
THE RESULTS📊
After we gathered and analyzed the responses, these are our findings and results.
• The common problem for farmers is that they have limited access to tools and equipment for testing soil fertility.
• Farmers also indicate that they have a problem in improving profitability as well as managing the risk in the farm
• Majority of the farmers that is being interviewed is upland farmers, specifically corn and sugarcane farmers.
• Farmers also said that the find it hard for them in testing the soil fertility of their farm.
• Some of the farmers rate the application’s usefulness on a scale of 5
• Most of the farmers rated 5 on how likely they will use the said application
• Overall, we found out that the farmers is interested in using the app since the features itself guarantee’s that it brings convenience to farmers.
III. Team Decision and Options🤔
•We are suggested to change the name of our app which previously called as FARM-MAN, therefore we came up to the new name of our app which is the CropTelligence.
•Since our hypothesis was proven effective after we tested it to our potential target market, our team has decided to pursue this software.
IV. Lessons💡
As a team, we have learned that despite farmer plays a significant role in the economy and contributes for the prosperity of it, farmers have been deprived of the attention they deserved. They were not given the tool, equipment, and other items that would have aided for the agricultural sectors. Problems of farmers are just being ignored of some individuals. But we as a team appreciate all the efforts of the farmers which push us to develop a farming app.

Second Blog Entrepreneurial Mind
To innovate a product that is helpful to our surroundings. And we are going to create or innovate a product and from our innovated product we have to create a venture proposal, empathy map, and business model canvas (BMC).  And my experience in doing those activity, I find it difficult. Even though I already explained it to us but some of it we don't remember and confused were to begin with. This activity really teach me how to improve myself also teach me a lot of lesson and I gained more knowledge when it comes of innovation and what we are going to do, to be able to succeed  to our business. Aside from that in making those activity, It allows me to spend quality time with my group-mates and I was giving an opportunity to know them and it was an amazing feeling to know them, to spend time with them and most especially thankful that I am part of that group. This Activity I  learned the importance of unity, cooperation and trust. I do believed that in every group activity we must established that three foundation to be able succeed in our desire goal as a group also to have good outcomes in making those activity.
The Pitching and Fundraising I learned the Pitch Deck Components. In the forth slide of ppt it is a quote and it say's "It's not just about being better. It's about being different. You need to give people a reason to choose your business". And my understanding to this quote is that we need to create or start a business that is unique and different to others. To be able customers choose our business or our product.
Many entrepreneurs start a new venture by solving a problem that is significant, offering some value that other people would appreciate if the product or service were available to them. Other entrepreneurs, in contrast, start a venture by offering a “better mousetrap” in terms of a product, service, or both. In any case, it is vital that the entrepreneur understand the market and target segment well, articulate a key unmet need, and develop and deliver a solution that is both viable and feasible. In that aspect, many entrepreneurs mitigate risks before they launch the venture.
Being aware of your surroundings and the encounters in your life can reveal multiple opportunities for entrepreneurship. In our daily lives, we constantly find areas where improvements could be made.
Aside from that I learned that it is not easy to startup your own business but if you trust and believe yourself everything well be fall in line. I also learned that in business it is important to surround yourself to those people who believe and support you because their are the one who encourage you to do better and help you in your business.
Also, I learned that it's okay to fail because it's part of life and failure makes us strong. And through failure we can learn different things and discover new things that redirected as to succeed.   And above all, always remember to put GOD in everything you do.

First Blog Entrepreneurship Mind
An entrepreneurial mindset is a state of mind that an individual possesses. The way they think and their attitude towards the pursuit of their goals is an important tool that enables them to undertake entrepreneurial activities.
They are people who take advantage of opportunities. They are innovators and creators who due to their way of thinking, their mindset, give their business the best chance of surviving. However, when it comes to starting or growing a business, how does that help?
Effectively, it means that they are courageous in the decisions they make. They will actively seek clients and take risks. However, they also possess a range of other characteristics that help to make an entrepreneurial mindset so important.
There are many characteristics to an entrepreneurial mindset. While not every entrepreneur will possess them all, most who start out on the journey will possess them in varying degrees. The others will work to improve aspects of their entrepreneurial mindset over time.
Next discussion about the opportunities for recognition. But before we proceed let’s know this phrased "If someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you're not sure you can do it, say yes - then learn how to do it later". And my answer to this phrase is that, if someone offers me an amazing opportunity but I don't have a experience about that, I will still grab it and learn after. Because not everyone will offer you an amazing opportunity. And always remember this, don't limit yourself to do everything you wanted and don't limit yourself to learn, explore and know different things in this world. Also, always look forward to a positive outcome of whatever choice you make. We also discussed the five steps to generating creative ideas and techniques for generating ideas.
But in the discussion they have a video that we need to watch. One thing I learned about the video is that when we faces obstacle or struggles in life we need to plan how to solve it by doing your plan into an action. Aside from that I also learned in this video that it doesn't matter if you are a CEO, Lawyer or have a Business Degree because we can beat everyone if we just trust ourself and we can beat everyone by gathering information or having a teamwork.  And by that we can create a better ideas to beat them. I also learned that its okay to fail because that failure teach us to learn and understand different things that derived us to go further of what makes us happy to be able us to achieved our goals. Always remember that those failure and disappointment that we encounter teach us to stand again and to start a new journey and a new beginning.
We also tackled the Market Validation. Market Validation is all about the process of determining your customer interest and determining your potential customers, Also to validate your target market. I also remember in the discussion of Sir, that validation is hard, but building a product that no one would want is harder. So we need to gathered data or information if our product is suitable, timely and also know your target customers and validate your target market to be able us to know if that customers like our product.  Always remember this VALIDATE BEFORE YOU BUILD.
