‘i didn’t consider that possibility, but yeah. could be worse.’ they nodded and offered the other a curious glance. ‘i don’t know if my social skills are that up to par, but okay. uh, yeah. i’m finley.’ they said, glancing around the store to figure out what they were meant to do to keep this person company. friends weren’t easy to come by and in the little amount of time she’d been in moorbrooke her only conversations had been about books and work. ‘have you, uh, lived here long?’

⠀⠀danny could already tell the level of awkward that was radiating off of the person in front of her and normally that would have deterred her , but she was desperate for something at least until her brother was able to get off the couch. ❛ the names danny and i’m not so good at conversations either , so you’re fine. ❜ she replied , casually shrugged her shoulders. it was truth , danny hasn’t been great conversations in a while. she never shied away from the brutal truth and when most of the conversations she had ended with her smart ass sarcasm ; it didn’t really tempt others to come running back to be her friend. at her question , danny couldn’t help but stifle a little laugh.  ❛ wow you really are bad at this. ❜ she joked ; another laugh coming through. ❛ to answer your question : sadly , i’ve lived here for all of my life. i’m assuming you haven’t been here long , might not want to know every one , but i’d like think i’d remember a face. ❜

OPEN STARTER.

Matty loved his job, he really did. Books were his little slice of heaven so of course he adored being surrounded by them at all times of the day but the one downside of his job was that he actually had to speak to PEOPLE. Which was his least favourite thing to do. Most of the time he hid in the back and allowed his workers to do all the customer service bullshit but today he decided to venture out into the front of the store. Which apparently proved to be a mistake when he ended up accidentally bumping into one of the displays and knocking what seemed like HUNDREDS of books to the floor. “Oh no, oh no,” he mumbled to himself as he looked in horror at what he’d done, feeling as though he’d just murdered his own children. 

⠀⠀upon hearing a loud crash , danny made her way out to inspect it and when she did she couldn’t help but let out a loud laugh. in front of her stood a slew of books and seemingly panicked man. surely this was not the time to laugh or joke , especially since she herself has been a klutz in the past and it would totally come back to haunt her, but there something a lot more entertaining about it when it didn’t to happen to her. ❛ seems like someone made a little bit of a mess. ❜ she said , her arms crossed , as she attempted to hold back the fit of giggles that were still eager to come out.  ❛ do you like WANT any help cleaning it up or are you just going to like stand there ? ❜

FINLEY ( OPEN STARTER ).

they’d accepted the job at driftwood books because books were the only adventure she cared to have anymore. they liked the mindless work of sorting inventory, reading when things were slow and the soft music that always played in the store. the least favourite part of her job was interacting with people, especially those who thought they were better because they watched movies instead of reading books. or the shakespeare nerds. fuck the shakespeare nerds. the people who wanted to be left alone to browse were their favourites, but they also didn’t mind giving suggestions. finley was nearing the end of their shift and there were a few people in the store with them. they were cleaning the front displays when they looked out the window and noticed white flurries dropping from the sky. ‘ah crap, is that snow? i have to walk home and i am wearing the absolute wrong shoes.’ fin said quietly, momentarily unaware of the person in their proximity, ‘oh! do you need help finding anything? sorry, i’m here to help!’ 

⠀⠀out of all of the things that could have happened to her after she closed up , the last thing  danny could have possibly needed was her car to not start.  if this wasn’t karma at it’s finest then she didn’t know what is. after getting a full on lecture from her brother about how she should get rid of her ‘ piece of junk ‘ , he finally agreed to come get her but it would have taken a bit longer for him to do so ; which sucked because as soon as he hung up in started to snow and she found herself in a bit of a pickle. danny could have opened back up to stay warm , but with doing that she’d have to close up again and that was just too much for her to do so instead she just found herself wondering into the bookstore that was thankfully still opened. she strolled around the place for a bit , mindlessly staring at the books she knew she would never read before stumbling upon an clearly distracted employee. making her presence know , in this dire need of some sort of entertainment , she spoke up. ❛ it could be worse , you could have been naked. ❜ she replied , more focused on looking at her still surveying her surrounding rather then the bluntness of her voice.   ❛ i need a lot of things , sadly i don’t think you can help me with those . . . but you can keep me company while i wait for my brother. my car is like dead or something , so i’m waiting for him to get here so he can fix it. ❜

for all of her life so far danny has been stuck in her never ending life and trapped moorbrooke . . . . or at least that is what she says. 

starting off birth , she was the never planned baby. after her brother was born her parents were never planning on having another kid , however they still managed to pop out her and love her just the same. she’d like to say that she was their favorite child , but her brother would disagree.

her life started out like almost every little girl’s life does , she a happy go lucky girl who was oblivious to the troubles of the world and just there have fun. however , that all changed when her mother passed away. the struggle was hard for the kirsch ‘ s , but danny took it the hardest. her mother was like her best friend and although she loved her father and brother their bond was different ; it changed her whole perspective and life as she knew it.

she grew up to be  wild and reckless ; a complete handful for her father. she did somethings she wasn’t proud of. her father and her got many of fights and it really separated the two of them. she was in a place where she didn’t feel like she could talk to him or anyone for that matter and it almost wrecked her life up.

these days however , she has managed to someone get a decent sized grip on her life and managed to mend the relationship with her family. it was actually thanks to her dad that she was able to move out of the house and move to oakley court.

the thing she thinks is the best part about herself is her ability to literally not give a flying fuck about what others think or say about her or her life. it’s her life , and if others don’t it she normally will tell them to be lucky it’s not theirs.

she tends to be some what of a free-spirit , once again going back to her desire to live her life the way she wants rather than what others considers normal. however , while she doesn’t care about others opinions , she does still manage to close herself off and keep a lot of herself hidden to the outside world. 

her mother being a former dolphin records employee , danny followed suit and when she was old enough started to work there. she says it’s just because it’s a easy job , but really it’s the only way she can feel close to her mother.

danny is a hundred and ten percent vegan , but doesn’t rub it in SOME OTHERS do. however she does have a slew of shirts that mention being a vegan.

she hates cheesy romance movies or novels , not purely based on the romance but because they are one of the few things that can actually make her cry and she already does that enough.

she has multiple tattoos dedicated to her mother ; her mother’s name is her wrist and a butterfly on the back of her left shoulder blade.
