Brooklyn 99 is a show about a police precinct that goes through way too much shit for no reason.

First up we got the ultimate fav, Jake Peralta who has many other names like:

Jakey – Used affectionately by his mom and sometimes by Boyle.

Peraltiago – A couple nickname for Jake and Amy, mostly fan-created but referenced in the show.

Jakey-P – Used occasionally by Charles.

Captain Latvia – Given during a Christmas episode when Jake buys Charles’ son a toy from Latvia.

The Velvet Thunder – Technically a Holt nickname attempt, but Jake loves it and tries to claim it.

Tight Pants – Given by Gina in reference to his style.

Sarge – Used once jokingly when he was pretending to be Terry.

Detective Peanut Butter – Related to a horse that won a precinct race; Jake insists it’s his nickname too.

Jakey-Bear – Used by Boyle and sometimes Gina, teasingly.

Jakey Smurf – A taunt from Amy when mocking him playfully.

The Puzzle Master – A nickname tied to Jake’s rivalry with a puzzle creator that Amy admires. He may just be a big baby but we love him and he’ll always be one of the greatest detectives.

Then we have his best friend. Charles Boyle. The food lover of the group and one of the most, weirdest ones. (Buddy why do u like pig hooves…?) anyways when he can he’s a great detective and will forever be Jake’s n.1 fan (or he will kill himself as he says many MANY times)

After let’s go for the hottest, baddest, most beautiful one in the entire force. Rosa Diaz. What to say. The baddie that scares everyone but GOD DAMN I’d choose her any day :P. Can’t tell u my joy when I found out she was a lesbian LIKE YES QUEEN ATEE but ye she’s scary af (but also hot af)

Now in another universe, Rosa would be in a fire couple with….GINA LINETTI. The dancing diva of the group. She got sass, fire, divaness (if that’s even a real word) and SASS. Her dancing skills are just *chefs kiss* and her best friend? Her phone.

Then the nerd yet cutie of the group, Amy Santiago. God she’s such an ocd nerd but we love her <3. Surprise surprise the nerd gets with the “dummy” of the group JAKE! Ye no it was obvious, enemies to lovers? Ye obvious. Anyways what else to say? Wears glasses sometimes (looks adorable) does the “double hair tuck” when she likes someone. And always knows how to get revenge when doing hours and hours and hours of research.

How’s the buff guy? TERRY JEFFORDS! Why he’s basically like the big brother of the group. Always taking care of everyone (and his little girls 🤭). He can live his muscles the way no one else can (man give me ur abs I need them more than u do) ask him how he does it? “Exercise and healthy diet. Not that hard man” his exact quote from when he refused to admit he bought a book to spice up his love life 🌶️ Man? it ISSSSSS that hard! I GIVE UP AFTER 2 SECONDS!!!! Anyways he’s an incredible role model and everyone looks up to him.

And last but not least, CAPTAIN. RAYMOND. HOLT. The father of the group that has many emotions but one face. 😐⇐ that face right there. Even tho he may go crazy when it comes to Madeline Wantch (like plotting her death or calling her a devil) he is strict and very careful with what happens. (Rumours say that he’s actually a robot…) he’s not. Just a gay black man who has so much respect. ⚠️ side rant: I cried when the actor died. Anyways he does whatever must be done to protect his team and that’s why he has the amount of respect he has now.

In conclusion there are so many great characters but u know who is the greatest. It’s none of these. It’s the poniac bandit Doug Judy. The greatest rival or Jake and a bloody good singer (give me that voice man I’ll sing and u can smoosh). Anyways thank u for reading 😊
