This post cured my depression, cleared my skin , and gave me straight A's for the rest of my school years 🙏

Dany haters are really ridiculous. They keep hating Dany because she supposedly isn’t diplomatic (which is quite ridiculous), but then when Dany wants to gain an ally through diplomacy and favors (by legitimizing Gendry), they still hate her because now she has “hidden motives” to legitimize him. And like… yes? She wants his loyalty? What’s so monstrous about that? Holy shit! Dany is using soft power (being courteous and diplomatic) and that’s somehow a bad thing? So if Dany uses hard power she’s bad but if she uses soft power she’s bad too? ffs

And then there are the people that say that Dany was “emotionally manipulating” Jon because she asked him to not tell the truth. So Dany can’t be afraid of what might happen to their relationship and ever her life if the truth comes out? She’s not allowed to be afraid of losing everything she worked for her entire life? Dany was completely honest with Jon. She didn’t try to hurt him, she didn’t try to force him to stay quiet, she simply asked the man she loves to do something for her. Again, how is that a bad thing?

Dany in this season has literally done nothing for anyone to complain. She has been kind, courteous, forgave Jaime, saved Jon’s life many times even though he threatened her claim, saved the North even though everyone treated her like shit, she went to negotiate with Cersei even though Cersei had already proved to be untrustworthy. Daenerys has been sacrificing everything for everyone else. This season, she has been actually a victim of everyone else plotting against her for no reason. It’s appalling how even then, this fandom can still find a way to vilify her for literally everything.

Rants

I can't believe ( if the leaks are true ) that the Starks are conspiring against Dany . The woman helped them , fought for them , their home and people are still safe because of her . Yet the first thing they do is conspire against her , it's so upsetting and frustrating that at this point Dany is still seen as a bad person . What else do they want her to do for them ? You don't even have to be a fan of Daenerys to realize how this show ruined her so much ( along with a few others this season ) . All I wanted was for the Northerners to realize that she was someone who helped them out , someone who kept them alive , someone that gave so much to receive little to nothing in return . And that she's someone that deserved to be respected , even if they don't like her personally . I wish that they'd know what it feels like to be treated the way they treated her and her people .

Tbh Season 8 is the worst season of GOT . I wish they took the time to give this story the conclusion it deserves , I wish they made all the characters whoever they are true to their core and ended their storylines effectively . I hope and I'm praying to all the gods that all these leaks aren't true . If they are I can't wait for GOT to be over , they made a mess out of George R.R Martin's craft and its horrific .
