I know this is ostensibly a gag scene poking fun at Kakashi's humiliation at being asked to read his smut out loud for The Mission, but CONSIDER:

First he let his teammate and childhood friend go completely off the rails with no check in, no "Hey bud, how's it going" just " lol yeah he tried to kill me but it's fine." Then he let Orochimaru go off the rails as well, not doing much of anything to mitigate that then he let Iruka orphan it up on his own and luckily he turned out....fine and THEN he did the same thing to Naruto which ALMOST went south if it wasn't for Iruka.
