hey everyone! i want to first off thank everyone for your support bc it's meant a lot to me throughout this whole shitshow <3 in better news too, for everyone following the last 4 months of my life and how shitty those have been, i've been grinding my butt off over on twitch and i'll be eligible to get paid next month! not an insane amount, by any means, but enough to cover some bills which i'm so excited about because it means things are turning around.

as of right now, shit's still pretty rough and there's no way to get an advanced payout so i'll have to wait until the 12th for that. i've sold pretty much everything i could sell that i own, and i've been doing some odd translation jobs but it just hasn't even remotely come close to something livable for me. i have around 20€ to my name and that's because a friend was kind enough to help me.

Obviously they want us to trust that everything is okay behind the scene by bringing back Chayanne and Tallulah like "See? They're back! And theyre doing lore!! So dont worry!" And i want to believe that but I don't understand why they can't just. Make an official announcement. Not make people guess what they mean. Stop the entertainement train for 2 seconds to actually confirm that changes happened.

Why is the returning of previously unpaid employees with no actual confirmation that they are paid now treated like a fun lore moment? Why is every important decision always announced in such an indirect manner? Why do we have to guess their intentions and make a leap of faith every time something new happens?

I mean I know the answer, this is to keep the fans hooked, not reminding fans of the studio's mistakes and let the streamers who put all their eggs in the QSMP basket (ha) continue creating interesting content on the mostly empty server... but why does this take priority over contacting the people that were exploited?

They could have had both. They could have had this "the show must go on" attitude without ghosting all the victims. They could have tried to make it less public without relying on the fans'past attachment to the project to keep trusting them.

We are not privy to any detail, but if we had had confirmation from ex admins that they were being heard and would be solving things privately, i would have accepted it and trusted the process. But alas, that's not what happened... (maybe it's happening rn but our last update was apparently from sunnys admin 4 days ago saying that they had no update, so you know)

watching my friends post on instagram about cops preparing to violently engage with students, and about the university suspending all students even suspected of being involved, seeing calls for backup, aid, supplies, and attention. its all making me sick and stressed out of my mind i cant even imagine.

arrests are expected tonight, and among them could be my friends, old teachers, classmates

i dont talk about it on here much anymore, but in fall of 22 and spring of 23 i went to cal poly humboldt college in california. the students there, some of them my friends, are occupying a building on campus to be in solidarity and protest the genocide of Palestinians.

the institution of cal poly humboldt is a corrupt shithole, last year they planned on kicking all upperclassmen out of previously promised on campus housing, which flooded an already struggling city with students looking for housing. All for money they got for convincing alumni that they were about to go bankrupt (when they werent). to compensate for housing, they rented out hotels and motels miles from campus. they even considered buying a former prison boat to dock in the nearby eureka bay to house students (my friend helped leak that information lmao) cph is known for having 1/5 students living in their cars or otherwise homeless.

not only did the school pull this bullshit, but the president, tom jackson has said shit about covering up SA on campus. they also contributed partially to my friends death by banning their ESA from campus, then kicking them out of housing, they died outside of their new apartment.

my heart is with my friends and everyone protesting up north, if you can, take some time to learn about the college campus protests all across america.

sitting in the DMV (autism hell) rn so sorry if i do not cut my emotions but i am not happy abt lullah and chay returning, not when we have no reason to believe there has been change, not when i know that dapper and pomme will never return, and that the admins who stood up for themselves and exposed things will likely never be compensated.

trust me i know in order to make money the qsmp must operate but i do think despite legality they could be a BIT more transparent. and right now it feels like exploitation of people's love of eggs, same with the figurines and feeding people what they want.

you can never truly revert something that has been changed, come to terms with that change, do not deny it. when that change is a slow decline into fan service to distract from the INSANE workers rights violations, you need to also change your view.

and the violations are insane, even if the bare minimum of what has been alleged took place, the most easy to prove, like the lack of payment, it is still egregious.

its taken me a while, and I'm certainly not calling people evil for finding comfort in media, but these are MY reasons
