Dragonspyre Academy Farming Guide

   Ore                   -          Green           ~ 2

My Route:

I usually start by the teleporter and run through the ore spawns until I reach the end of the stairs. I run and check for the ore by the lava lily, then grab the lava lily and run around the perimeter of the statue’s balcony, grabbing the stone blocks along the way. I then collect the other ore and stone blocks by the right side of the plaza, and grab the stone block in the bottom right corner, before running up the stairs by the Forum sign, checking the stone block spawn there, and switching realms. Then I do it in reverse.

Notes: 

- this route is amazing for diamond and fossil farming for two reasons:

   1) it’s waaay less busy than the Atheneum, so if you’re not willing to wait till midnight to get a    decent haul, then sacrificing the Atheneum’s three ore spawns for two isn’t too much of a big deal. I’ve been farming it for a few years and I’ve seen maybe two people in total.

   2) The run time of this route, as I mentioned in my Floating Mountains farming guide, is almost exactly 30 seconds, and tends to be a little less if you skip the lava lily, so it’s very efficient to farm for multiple hours

- I’ve also noticed that compared to some other places, the rare harvest diamond and sandstone/fossil farming is quite high, and so is the number of ore per harvest, which is more commonly two or three than one

*one of the ore spawns toward the right side may be inaccurate, as I haven’t seen it in a while, but I remember farming it, so I put it there anyways

Other:

- I don’t think I’ve ever seen a chest spawn here, be it silver or gold

- the stone rose from Zeke’s quest is by the ore above the one on the crystal grove sign, between that building and the area boundary, though you have to approach it from the northern side of the building to get to it

Floating Mountains Farming Guide

My Route (to hit all spawns):

I tend to start at Isla Nevada and zip to Isla Major, sticking to the left side as I run to Isla Bonita. I then go from there across the bridges to Isla Tormenta, turning left to grab the sandstone. Then I go down across the river and grab the ore by the pond, which is there every run, and circle through Isla Del Fuego before switching realms and doing it in the reverse order.

Notes:

- usually, one of the two sandstones will spawn on Isla Del Fuego and the other one will spawn on either Isla Bonita or Isla Tormenta, since Isla Major seems to be a rarer spawn

- silver chests will often spawn in the forested area by the Red Mandrakes on Isla Bonita, and wooden chests can spawn on any of the other islands, most commonly on Isla Del Fuego or Isla Tormenta

*other good places to find sandstone include Kondha Desert in Khrysalis and Stonetown in Zafaria, but those areas are often more crowded, making up for the longer run time of Floating Mountains

*a commonly overlooked place to farm stone block and ore is Dragonspyre Academy, which has a run time of almost exactly 30 seconds per realm, and has a decent amount of rare harvests (highly recommend for diamond farming since the Atheneum is competetive)

*by using teleporters and leaving X’s, another good farming route in Azteca is from the Zocalo to a circuit through Three Points and Mangrove Marsh, which gives a good balance of agave leaves, red mandrake, black lotus, and stone blocks, and is really convenient for gathering for the Transcendent Crafter quest if you grab turquoise from the silver chests in the Zocalo

Other:

- Eloise’s flower for this area is on the southern side of Isla Del Fuego by the fake plants (NOT the agave leaves, but the other plants, If you’re looking for real agave leaves check Mangrove Marsh)

- Professor Zeke’s UFO is on the southeastern side of Isla Tormenta right under the top left corner of its label on the map

- If you’re questing through Twin Giants, it’s a great place to collect stone blocks and ore along the way

I’m kinda curious, how did everyone on wizard101 tumblr get into the game? Like how’d you hear about it, what drew you in?

I got into it when kids were role playing w101 battles during recess and I decided to insert myself into their business wherein they told me about the game and I got hooked immediately

So I associate lemon demon with the beast moon event in wizard101, because at one point I had finally gotten into lemon demon and so it was all I listened to. Do other people have strange media associations with wizard101/pirate101?

I also associate the try pod with zafaria because I was in a try guys hyperfixation at that point. And the anatomy class of the magnus archives with Aquila in Pirate101.

alright Wizard101 players, what's the consensus on joining random players' battles?? It's always bothered me when I'm this close to finishing a fight in w101 and then some rando shows up and it spawns a new full-health enemy that now I have to fight. It also doesn't help that usually my health is pretty low as well, so if the fight is elongated my chances of dying increase tenfold...

What do y'all think?? Helpful? Rude? Just a part of MMORPG playing?
