To all !!
I’m happy to say that some of my greatest and most unforgettable memories were on dare. It was literally one of the most wonderful gems of my life, not just because I loved writing it but because the people that brought their characters to life were so unmistakably fantastic, loyal and wonderful. I got through plots that came out of nowhere, we solved mysteries I didn’t even know existed and I winged it more times than I ever have in my life. All those nights and days of being on the cusp of roleplay disaster were more than worth it because dare brought me my favourite characters and although I wrote them, I definitely didn’t bring them to life.
I learned so many lessons about being in the face of tough decisions. I cried actual tears on more than one occasion (and I’m a pretty stone cold gal). I loved and I lost and bizarrely I feel like the friends I made here were closer to my heart than some people that I’ve met in real life so if any of you are still out there I want to thank you for all the time and energy that you spent with me during that period of your life and every word that you typed, every graphic you made and every gif that you searched long and hard for.
Not only will dare always be a piece of me but so will you. This isn’t anon love. This is just all round love. Thank you all. There’s too many mains so if you happen to want to comment on anything then there’s this blog (which I made to cry and reblog some old old tasks you all wrote very well on).

ONE DAY AGO...
You wake up.
Half way through a sandwich, half way through a sentence, half way through a thought about what you were doing that day... You wake up.
Nothing has ever been more surreal than the moment that, perhaps, in less than the blink of an eye you find the past fifteen years undone. It doesn’t make any sense - like a bad dream. Like a bad taste in your mouth. Like you’ve been placed back in the firing line of what could of been the worst years of your life.
Just like that you’re placed back in shoes that you were sure that you’d thrown away forever, that some of you had burned. You’re back to the person that you were fifteen years ago when you still had hopes of things turning out differently and you find a piece of paper in your hand that explains everything and nothing at once.
Dear ex-students, You have been cordially invited to the Whittemore reunion. Three years have passed since the school was burned to the ground. The rebuilding has only just finished and in honour of the place that once stood upon this scorched ground, we are hosting a party for our finest students. Come along, I absolutely dare you. Best Regards, Charles French.
ooc: Everyone ‘woke up’ one day ago. They found themselves doing whatever they did the day before the reunion at Whittemore began. Whether they are a sole attendee or a plus one who was not formerly there from the beginning of the reunion, they can accept or reject the invitation. If a character has not returned then we assume that they decided to stay as far away as possible from the rewritten version of events.
Characters have knowledge only of what happened at the reunion and up to the point of dare 3.0, the rest is blurry to them although they do know that they have lived an additional fifteen years and that something bad has happened. They will all attribute their loss of knowledge to what they know only as a rush of blue light.
Characters who became deceased after dare 3.0 and before DARE REVIVAL are aware that they have passed on but others around them most likely will not be due to the confusion.
Everything is as it was before the end of the reunion meaning Charles is still alive, they have never time travelled and Whittemore is still set to be restored.
Both yourselves & they are unaware of how this story is meant to end now.

As many of you, who are contactable, know, dare is opening for a two week period starting from tomorrow at 5.30 EST. An update on the situation will be posted then but this round will place your characters back in the realm of DARE: THE REUNION for a second time. All events will be explained to set the scene. I hope to see everyone there.

8/08/2016 – part i. WHERE ARE THEY TODAY?
*Please note that as per time skip, the fire at Whittemore now took place in July 2015 therefore this is one year and one month later. This details what your character is doing right now, today.
Daniel Vertuso is currently on the set of Vices & Virtues in the centre of London. He’s scheduled to appear at the premier of The Moorings II later tonight with critically acclaimed actor Vaughn Stein.
Coincidentally Gabriel Spits will also be attending this event. So far it hasn’t been reported whether he will be accompanied by a guest but there are people who are very interested in his opinion for very obvious reasons.
Riley Delvaux is renting out a room in a downtown hotel to avoid the backlash from a recently ousted rumour about the nature of her current occupation. An unfortunate disagreement that has everything to do with the actual Rumour has just became the root of most of her problems.
At present Thomas Adamson is in Brazil at the 2016 Olympics accompanied by a mystery blonde who has reportedly been helping him prepare for his next important feat. For some unknown reason he dedicates an interview to Hazel Mark’s memory.
The same unnamed blonde is currently texting Jonah Cricks who is still in the very same London apartment he has spent the last year making home with a number of open folders, pouring over some very suspicious details of someone else’s life.
Another person in a different part of London pouring over details is Aiden Summers who has been very confused over the identity of a certain Seth McClain for at least a year. The lights are on but nobody’s home and he ignores a knock at the door from an old friend who has no idea who’s behind it.
Faybian Davis is knocking on Aiden Summer’s door along with her long serving associate Dexter Stein to serve threat of a restraining order on behalf of the Mayor to a group of rag-tag internet terrorists trying to dirty his name. Unfortunately there’s no answer. It seems like the whole thing was a hoax.
On the other side of town a real arrest is being made and Ricky Stevens is dragged away from his only daughter in handcuffs under suspicion of murder for immediate trial. He protests his innocence but his alibi refuses to pass comment.
Ricky’s alibi is currently sitting with Lily Stone eating strawberries in chocolate dip at an upper class spa where they both laugh with no real idea what this all means. Lily might be upset about this turn of events but even if she understood, what would she have chosen?
The result of this arrest brings impending doom to Texas White’s doorstep like she heard the metal clink from a million miles away and she welcomes her wild daughter into a home that ruined her life.
A twin sister with the name of a precious stone who has done something not quite so precious sits in her car outside her childhood home trying to quiet the little voice that tells her what she’s done was wrong but she peels off gloves and tells herself that means there’s no blood on her hands.
Ella Sinclair is asked to work the defence on a new case but she politely declines when she sees the name of one of her ex-classmates. She will not vouch for their sanity when they would never have vouched for hers all those years ago. She flips open a magazine and her stomach flips at the sight of a headline about her ex-best friend.
Tyson King makes the headlines but it’s not the first time, his name is plastered on every gossip magazine in London. Today he lays in a hospital bed on a private ward that might as well be his own and when his Doctor says, “Son, you’re going to kill yourself if you carry on,” he laughs and sits up.
Around the corner Justin Moore lays down a bunch of flowers at the desk but he’s not visiting his estranged husband, he’s visiting his Mother, it’s been seven months but he’s finally being the son that he would be proud of.
The nurse that’s on duty returns to the staffroom and when she pushes blonde hair back behind her ear she remembers the sight of the boys face in a picture on a wall somewhere and sends a text to her best friend, “Two birds in one stone. You could make up.”
A brunette in the middle of a race trips over her laces and falls to the ground and in her rage she almost doesn’t read her message but when she does she drops her phone and for the first time she’s despondent about all of this, “Not today.” And somehow she still manages to win.
At the finishing line stands a football star and his girlfriend comes in second. He wraps his arms around her and spins her around and for a second he catches a glimpse of someone he used to know but this Samuel Fawkes would never speak to Rose. Instead he grabs that second place medal and says words he never knew he could, “Second place is still pretty cool.”
That night while Sam is celebrating he bumps into a little blonde girl at the bar and just as he’s about to make a complaint he recognises Gina Porter searching through her bag. There’s a vacant third seat and he smiles at the little girl because he knows her face. He leaves before she turns around.
Lucy Quinn runs towards Gina with a coin in her hand and screams that a famous football star spoke to her and Gina looks around bemused but she sees nobody, instead she pulls out a seat for her late guest. She has a feeling he’s not coming. He never did before.
A waiter spills a bottle of red wine over the counter and Casey Bell catches them by the elbow to try and stop them making a fatal mistake before he glances over at someone he used to know not well enough at all. He smiles.
Meanwhile Zachary Kent stands in an extremely long queue for a pair of Prada six inch heels he has no interest in to give to someone that he hates. He grabs his head in rage to block out the sound of his buzzing phone.
Someone else in that queue is handing out leaflets in a purple dress that fits in all the right places and a new blonde stands in the place of an old one and her smile sells it to everyone that takes one. She’s going to make this work, with or without Kitty.
The reason that Kitty refuses to rejoin her old bang is locked behind high security doors in the shape of a new man, Seth McClain. Her old band has to go on without her because she will not answer a single call. She stands by the pact and she knows for a fact, so does Sean.
People see Sean again, or rather, he sees them. Not a single one notably recall crossing his path again but he knows where they all are, today he sits in an office watching the world pass him by and he doesn’t mind Kitty’s engagement at all. In fact, he’s happy about it.

I'm mobile so I can't write properly but you will find that dare-RP has changed to a hiatus blog that you are not following. This will NOT be the new main yet but it MAY make promo posts so if you're interested then follow. The new main will go live on SEPTEMBER 10TH. The tag #daretalk is live and I do upon occasion post in it and you are welcome to do so with edits or whatever too. I probably won't use it for hype, I just wanted to track things during the hiatus for everyone. The tag #dare 3.0 teasers also has numerous clues as to the future of the Whittemore kids and the new RP. Thanks for sticking around, there will be at least one further update on this blog before reopening! For anyone with questions about how long the time skip is this time, the answer is ONE YEAR AND TWO MONTHS.

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES || LOG
Date and time: 01.07.16, 10.30pm.
Description: Whittemore burns down for the last time and the attendees of the reunion promise to never speak again to free them from the eye of suspicion and move on.
ooc: Only the part of the chat after this point is below the cut. There will be triggering content.
Narrator: The assembly hall is quiet, the remaining three of the immune seven that reside at Whittemore are tired and worn, paint is wet on the walls around them and a plastic sheet is covering the floor.
TJ: The ladders are steady, each movement precise. Even the other people don’t bother him. There’s nothing he wants more than to be rid of this place at this point, "But here we are.”
Lily: The panic that raced through her body as she ran in was like no other. Finding the group standing together as they had that first day here she finally spoke, “They tricked me. We don’t have anymore time,” she let out a long breath. “They’re here now I just saw the cars park.”
Millie: The smell of the new paint was giving her a headache, but just as she opened her mouth to comment on how normal it looked, Lily entered the room. “Tricked you?” A frown tugged at her lips, anxiety creeping in. “At least, well, you guys did a good job. I can’t imagine they’ll find anything.”
Samuel: "Not all of us,“ Sam muttered directed at TJ, but he didn’t bother looking at the other man. He turned his attention to Lily, groaning in disappointment. He knew something wouldn’t go as planned. "Great.”
Sean: At this moment Sean crossed his arms, an unsurprised expression all over his face, “Well, it is not exactly a surprise that the government would lie to you, is it?”
Faye: Instead of being worried Faye just stared around the room in disbelief, not that she should have been particularly stricken by how things had turned out anyway, “What now?”
Chase: Chase tried to pass a laugh off as a cough, pretending the paint fumes were getting to him instead of Sean’s comment.
Lily: Her face paled, “I suppose it’s not.” Her eyes darted around the room and then quickly to the floor.
TJ: TJ’s fingers clutched around the pain brush but he didn’t look around, not a flicker of emotion besides the clenching of his jaw. “There’s only one thing left to do.”
Millie: Millie looked up, uneasy at the lack of emotion in TJ’s voice. “And that would be?” she asked rather quietly.
Samuel: "Enlighten us, TJ,“ he tilted his head and raised an eyebrow, a questioning look plastered on his face.
Julian: "Whenever someone says there’s only one thing to do then I usually end up wishing to do the opposite,” Julian muttered.
TJ: "Turn over what they want." He turned rather sharply on the step ladder that he stood at the top of, paint roller in hand soon dropped to the ground to create a messy splatter of white on plastic.
Texas: Texas' hand pressed against white paint, a smudge created and her fingers covered in it as a gentle smile met her lips. None of this was bothering her.
Sean: Sean's gaze flickered around the room with a bemused expression, "Perhaps we should offer them a warm beverage and we can talk this out," he laughed to himself.
Chase: "Warm beverages make excellent government bribery."
Samuel: "Wow, look at us. Working with the government, and there's a possibility they might just fuck us up," he commented, shooting a quick glare at Lily's direction before letting out a sigh. "Let's welcome them with open arms, and open hearts... and if that still doesn't work, let's welcome them with open legs."
Millie: "Wish I'd thought of that last time," the girl sighed out. Sam's comment nearly caused her to laugh, one hand coming to cover her mouth. "We might just get into more trouble with that one, Sam."
Faye: Faye threw her head back with an exasperated sigh, eyes rolling out of sight, "For Gods sake, I can't believe the Government are outside and it's not Millie's fault this time. How many people can make the mistake of messing with them?"
Julian: Julian shook his head silently, "Maybe they just want to sort this whole thing out."
Lily: Her face fell, quickly matching Sam's glare before folding her arms over her chest. "I made a mistake I think we all understand that now. But it doesn't change the fact that they're here."
TJ: TJ moved, one loud slam as he hit his hand off of the top of the ladder, the foundations of it rocking with the movement as if it was going to fall, "Maybe it's about damn time we just faced up to what we've all done."
Millie: She was about to brush off Lily's comment and chime in that they would have showed up eventually, but TJ's hand hitting the ladder silenced her. Taking in a quick breath, she simply nodded, one hand moving to rest on her stomach.
Chase: "Define 'face up to what we've all done'...." Chase questioned slowly. They'd all done a lot. TJ was going to have to be more specific.
Camille: Camille's attention snapped back into the unfolding scene, her green eyes laying their gaze on everything and everything, "So plain," she uttered in reference to the colours of the room, "I bet they could still find blood, with UV light," a small strange smile reached her lips just as her point was made, her words quiet and addressed at nobody.
TJ: He should of stepped down but he didn't. Each of his movements rocked the ladder that seemed more and more unstable, "I mean we give them what they wanted. The things that we kept from them," one flippant hand motion, a look of sheer defeat in his eyes, "We have to give them something if we want to get away with anything."
Sean: Sean's arms remained cross, "I believe this is the practice of forfeiting a minority for a majority."
Millie: The rocking of the ladder was stressing the girl out. "I agree that we have to give them something, but just how much does that include?"
Samuel: "You want us to throw someone under the bus is basically what you're saying?"
Faye: Faye, for what seemed like the first time, actually stepped forwards, her eyes narrowed, "And so here comes the part where we once again decide what is right and wrong. How many times do we have to learn?"
TJ: "They were already under the bus," TJ muttered and his step was unsteady as he moved one foot, the other dangerously close to the edge. He didn't look back at them, his voice shockingly cool, "We get rid of the liabilities. They're going to try and crack us. Crack them first."
Jesse: Jesse watched everything happening, his hands rested on his head. He wasn't too concerned about the government despite the danger he should of forseen, "Where did Megan get to?" He whispered mainly to himself.
Millie: "There's hardly a blameless person here. Just keeping what happened here a secret makes us all liable," she spoke up, staring at TJ with a worried expression on her face. "Who do you consider to be liabilities, anyway?"
Samuel: "Maybe there isn't right or wrong, or some Confucius shit like that." His gaze flitted to TJ, somewhat admiring his resolve but it scared Sam at the same time. It was cruel what they were about to do and for TJ to suggest it was almost unreal. "I'm not taking the fall for anyone. Let's just put that out there."
Lily: Lily's gaze flickered between everyone, mouth tightly shut as she waited to hear what they had to say - what their master plan was this time. Because at that point she was ready to agree to anything.
TJ: TJ's jaw clenched and as he moved another step his foot caught on the step ladder at a height, "Fucking thing," but as he paused, his face turned away from them as if it would conceal the depth of his emptiness, "Some people can't keep secrets. Some people aren't capable. Some people are too far gone," his voice was harsh but light.
Julian: Julian narrowed his eyes to a squint, his palms sweaty at the thought, his gaze flickering between others in the room, "What," but that was all.
Camille: Warning signs flagged in her mind, her eyes narrowed with polished suspicion, "Fear is such a nasty emotion."
Samuel: "Who do you suggest we throw to the wolves, TJ?" He asked, his tone demanding an immediate answer. "Give us a name."
Sean: "Natural selection. Filtering the weak from the strong, choosing like the hands of fate who lives and who merely survives," Sean mused, one step further into the room than he had previously been, "What a terrible thought that you can take fate into your own hands. Terrible and yet realistic."
Chase joined the chat 41 hours ago
TJ: He didn't avoid the question this time. "Jesse," his foot slipped but just as he fell he managed to grab onto a higher step, his teeth gritted, "Jesse has to go," he spoke like he wasn't in the room as he finally reached the ground.
Jesse: Only now, after so long, did he look up from where he sat on the ground, hands in his hair, a look of confusion on his darker features, "What?" It was asked with some humour. A strange smile on his face.
Millie: Her gaze shifted from the boy on the latter to the boy he planned to place all of the blame on. "He didn't," she attempted to force out, shaking her head to try and make sense of the loud thoughts in her head. Jesse had been off for some time, silent with a strange smile on his face, but the thought of him being punished for all of their mistakes made her feel ill.
Samuel: "You must be, like, silly," Sam exclaimed, his expression twisting into confusion. He wasn't going to deny that Jesse had been off since the beginning of the reunion but they needed his mind. "He's saved everyone multiple times and we're pulling this shit on him? I was expecting some name like Leslie or fucking ANYONE else."
Faye: Her fingers looped around a necklace she was wearing, her eyes almost widening, "This is not what we do here. We do not palm off the blame on someone else for no reason. That isn't how it works."
TJ: "I'm not putting the blame on him," his voice was tight as finally he turned, his eyes entirely hardened compared to the way they had once been. "He works for them. He's lost his damn mind. He has to go," and then he spoke words in a tone he had never used before, eyes blaring like a storm, "That's final."
Julian: Julian looked at Lily - who had caused this to begin with, alarm in his eyes.
Sean: Instead of speaking again Sean watched as this unfolded, a bemused expression still on his face, no puzzlement quite as fitting as the role reversal he was seeing today between the fair and the unjust.
Ella/Ricky/Nathan: Everything was crazy and Ella didn't know how to react. She didn't know what was worse -- them having to do this to people or seeing Tyson in a way she'd never seen him before. Ella wasn't looking to any of them, her hands in fists by her sides.
Millie: Nodding at Faye's words, she was about to agree when TJ spoke up. His tone caused chills, a heavy feeling settling in her chest. "Even if he's," she trailed off, frowning. Looking over at the boy, it was clear to see that he was a shell of the intelligent and kind man they'd gone to school with. It didn't mean he deserved to spend the rest of his life in jail, however.
Jesse: Jesse's only reaction to this entire argument was to burst into a small fit of laughter, his hands tugging at his hair, "Genius, genius, I'm no genius," he thought out loud, "I couldn't even find him. After all these years. I don't know where she hid him."
Lily: She chewed on her lower lip, gaze flickering between TJ and Jesse at this point. "I don't think this is going to work, plus this is my fault I should go."
Chase: "Just because someone may have lost it, which, considering all we've been through, can you blame him--" Chase began, not sure how they'd all manage to hold onto their sanity. "Doesn't mean they should take the fall for everyone."
Samuel: "That's final," he yelled mockingly. "I guess we all saw you as a king and now, you're finally acting like one. /Sorry/, our fault for turning you this way, TJ."
Faye: "Jesse, what the hell is wrong with you?" Faye's eyes narrowed as she stepped towards the boy, "Fight. What the hell is going on in there?" She reached out and grabbed him by the wrists, "You need to tell them this isn't what you want!"
TJ: Tj looked at Sam and there was nothing in his gaze, deathly emptiness radiated off of him and although he wished he could be offended by the words, he wasn't. "I told Lily I'd fixed it, and I did," that was all, an unspoken signal that what he felt was necessary was already done.
Millie: Millie watched quietly as Faye grabbed Jesse by the wrists, quietly praying that he would do just as she was saying.
Jesse: Jesse was limp at Faye's touch, more laughter left him. "Are you going to grab onto my ankle like with the time machine? I almost killed everyone!" The proclamation caused him to laugh more as he slid on the sheet, "My baby! Hazel's! I never found him! What genius can't see what's in plain sight!"
Lily: Eyes narrowing she let out a sigh, "Leave it alone Sam, it's not the time or place." And then her gaze shot back to TJ, looking him over. Perhaps she shouldn't have asked for his help.
Faye: Faye almost fell over as the boy seemed to drag himself further down, frustration clear in her expression as she let out a strange grunt, "Get the hell up! We'll find that baby, just get the hell up, Jesse!"
Samuel: "There are other options than Jesse," Sam debated. "Zach, Gabe, fucking Duck Boy, so many others. Take your fucking pick. Just not someone who has helped us over and over again for fucking God's sake." Sam let out a loud groaned as he listened to Jesse's words which totally wasn't helping his case. "Shut the fuck up, Jesse."
TJ: "I'm not talking about him taking the blame," TJ spoke with a hint of confusion on his face, "I'm talking about keeping him quiet. He needs help. He's lost the fucking plot," he wasn't even angry, there was nothing left to feel, "I already spoke to somebody."
Millie: "Faye's right, Jesse. You won't get the chance to find him if you're locked away in some high security prison," she tried to persuade the boy, frowning at his heartbreaking words.
Ella/Ricky/Nathan: Ella knew her confession had to come now and now only. "I need to tell you all something," she said sternly, finding her old voice once again. "There's a baby. Hazel's baby. I've been parenting Hazel's child since we left Whittemore last."
Samuel: "I fucking hate you all."
TJ: At these words TJ turned and his jaw clenched more ferociously than ever, his hand crushed against the step ladder and he blinked twice, "That changes nothing." It was true.
Millie: Looking over at TJ, the thought of Jesse receiving help wasn't nearly as awful as imagining him locked away in a prison somewhere. He needed help, that much was clear. Ella's words caused her to freeze, immediately looking over to see Jesse's reaction.
Sean: And in that moment, Sean became entirely certain that each of them had tried their best to make the right choices and now there was nothing left but to watch them all write their own ending.
Jesse: Jesse's eyes widened and even though this news should of calmed him now he laughed even more, "All this time." He couldn't stop.
Ella/Ricky/Nathan: Ella heard what they had to say and sighed lowly. "Yes, all this time. It wasn't exactly a walk in the fucking park," she murmured.
Narrator: At this moment the doors to the room open further and a group of adults who seem to be Doctors appear, "Mr Harpe, please don't resist," a woman speaks, immediately two men moving Faye and Millie aside as they seize the laughing boy like an asset.
Faye: Faye stares in confusion, even she knows that she can't argue with this, instead she shoots an accusing glance around the room, a muttered, "What the fuck."
Samuel: "If anyone else has any secrets about Hazel, tell it now," he exclaimed as he looked at everyone around the room. "I hope you at least took the baby for walks in the park. Babies fucking love nature, Ella." His gaze then fell upon the woman and men that entered the room. "Fuck," he muttered under his voice.
Lily: With wide eyes she watched the group move in, glancing away as quickly as she could. As if that would somehow help with the guilt that was bubbling up inside of her.
Jesse: Despite the fact he probably should, Jesse doesn't resist, his laughter reducing him to tears as he looked directly at TJ, "You knew me too well," a deranged whisper as he's dragged away.
Millie: The girl freezes, trying to reassure herself that TJ would do his best to get Jesse the help he needed. At least it was better than prison. Allowing the man to move her aside with little resistance, she hardens her expression, not wanting them to see the emotions surrounding Jesse's departure.
Narrator: Jesse Harpe is removed from the grounds of Whittemore by a highly trained team of psychologists.
Samuel: "So, I guess it wasn't debatable after all, huh?" He exclaimed, turning to TJ's direction. "Fuck you. Fucking fight me."
Ella/Ricky/Nathan: Sam's comment made her snarl a little, she was a perfectly capable mother far more capable than the majority in Whittemore and especially Hazel herself. She didn't comment as she watched Jesse be removed.
TJ: "I don't have the energy to fight you." He spoke as if his rule was final and perhaps it was, the crown upon his head placed there the final time and now he had used it to the best of his ability to resolve the situation. "There's more," his words were low, cold.
Faye: Faye's rage was incomparable to anything she'd felt before but she could do nothing but stare, "I honestly thought that even we weren't this stupid. Jesus Christ."
Chase: "More...?" Chase questioned, as if things could get worse from here.
Julian: "Oh God," Julian whispered, "You guys," pausing he looked around, "We have to get rid of everything else. The stuff that got you into this mess."
Millie: "Are you absolutely sure they're going to take care of him?" she muttered, uneasy about it all. At his cold comment, she let out a huff of air, shaking her head from side to side.
Samuel: "Of course there's fucking more, when isn't there fucking more?" He turned away from TJ, he couldn't even look at him anymore. "It's such a nice occasion! Why don't we complete with some good ol' Frenches fucking fighting to death. Julian, Ricky, take it away."
TJ: TJ ignored almost everything, but this time in his dead pan voice he spoke, "Julian's right. We have to get rid of the time machine."
Narrator: Outside a blaring sound begins, it appears much like a fog horn to begin with, the sound of doors on the outer school being hit against but no entry is granted to whatever awaits outside.
Lily: She wants to cover her ears as the noise begins, as she did when they saw Dr. Bellamy, but this time she resists it. "Okay, so we get rid of it and then what? Watch as they pick us off one by one?"
Sean: "You would assume that before repainting a wall that somebody might think of destroying a device capable of altering scientific foresight," Sean pondered, the sound causing him only to flinch. "Lily, we do not have time for such questions, that is the fun of this new disaster, we must simply run around like headless chickens as usual," Sean didn't seem all that displeased about it. It wasn't like he had anything better to do.
Samuel: "Who knows, Lily? Just know that this is your fault," he smiled wryly.
Millie: "Then let's destroy it," she spoke up, arms crossed over her chest as she glanced over at Faye. Between her apparent time as a preteen and her pregnancy, she'd never actually made sure it had been destroyed.
Julian: "So... We go to it?" Julian asked unsurely, his throat clearing, "Let's go."
Faye: "That God damn time machine," Faye muttered in annoyance, her expression one of irritation, already taking flight considering everyone seemed to be wasting ample time.
Chase: "Yeah I can help with that," Chase volunteered, having had to do it before.
Millie: She did her best to accompany the other three, finding it almost funny that those who had made it would be the first to volunteer to destroy it.
Lily: There was a moment where she was going to laugh at Sean's comment, to mask the fear in her but then Sam's voice broke in and she turned sharply. "Will you shut the fuck up for once in your life?" Her hands balled into fists, "Let's go break a time machine."
Narrator: The group decide to destroy the time machine. Along the way to the room that once contained it, Camille disappears. In their rush it is hard to notice but by the time they arrive at the room that once contained it they find that the door is locked and a familiar blue light is spilling out from beneath the gap.
TJ: TJ, despite everything, is somehow still surprised by the sight of the light he had once been dissolved by appearing beneath the door and he steps forwards, his hand pressing to the door, "I can't believe this," is a whisper between gritted teeth that isn't meant to be answered as he forces his body against the door to no avail.
Faye: "Are you fucking kidding?" Faye almost screams, her bag thrown to the ground, "Are you actually fucking kidding me? Someone turned that thing back on?"
Millie: "Jesus Christ," she hisses, watching as TJ forced his body against the door. "Where's the nearest sharp object? This is so," she rambled on, moving to the back of the hallway and trying to see if there was anything they could use to pry it open.
Sean: "On the contrary," Sean replies, a touch of humour on his face, "It appears that the issue is that none of you technically turned it off. A monumental build up, a toll of time itself because you did not destroy it."
Julian: "Great," Julian stared, "How do we stop it?!"
Samuel: He sighed. It seemed nothing would actually go right this day. "This is just stressful. What are they trying to accomplish by turning that thing on?"
Narrator: The pounding of the outer doors of Whittemore continues, the sounds growing louder. The light however does now slow and with their attempts to gain entry fail, the light instead spreading beneath the doorway and over the corridor, consuming them all entirely until they are blinded by it.
TJ: TJ let out a cry, arms angrily waving in his face to block out a light that is more radiant than anything he remembered, no words quite making their way out, "What the fuck is happening!"
Millie: "I cannot believe-" she broke off, shaking her head, not seeing the point in continuing. Suddenly, the light was spreading and her entire vision was engulfed in white. A shriek fell from her lips, hands reaching out in an attempt to steady herself.
Chase: "Shit," he yelled, hands flying to his face to try and stop the blinding light.
Tyler/Joey entered for the first time 41 hours ago
Faye: Faye seemed to be one of the only ones who tried to keep her eyes open despite the fact she felt like it was causing her eyeballs to catch on fire, "This fucking time machine!"
Narrator: When the light dims the group find themselves standing on the roof of the old Whittemore, transported back to the year 2012, the night of Hazel's death. They are now all present in this space in time and back in the bodies of themselves from three years ago.
Hazel entered for the first time 41 hours ago
Carlie entered for the first time 41 hours ago
Andy entered for the first time 41 hours ago
Hazel: Hazel throws her beer bottle to the ground, a grin on her face as glitter spills from her hair and she lets out a long laugh, the edge of her heel close to the edge of the building, "I'll show you! I'll be the Queen of dares and none of you will ever beat me!"
TJ: For a second he doesn't know how to react, he stares at Hazel like he's seeing a ghost. He is. He was. He stares more.
Carlie: Carlie steps forwards, her breath unsteady and thick with alcohol (or so she says when she explains away the buzz she feels three years later). Her hand reaches out, "Hazel, what are you doing?"
Samuel: Sam stood there, unaware of what was happening around him till he heard that voice. Hazel's voice. His gaze immediately moved from an empty to the girl he once loved. "No," he whispered under his breath.
Andy: Andy hesitates, rambling in the background. He turned to find unfamiliar people among familiar ones, "What's she doing?"
Tyler/Joey: Tyler looked around in confusion, recognizing the place from photographs. He shook his head as he realized they'd gone back in time, cursing under his breath when he suddenly saw a girl. "What the fuck?" he whispered in confusion.
Millie: It's a scene she'd only caught glimpses of from the ground below, and somehow it's even worse than she imagined. Andy's question makes it clear that they can see them, but she's unable to speak up.
Lily: She takes in the sight, eyes scanning over the scene that's unfolding. Dumbfounded in the moment she opens her mouth to speak but nothing comes out.
Hazel: At the exact moment that the others begin to speak, with a confused expression, Hazel grins, her lips fastened into a knowing smile. She's sure this will end exactly like she wanted, her feet edge towards the roof's limit and just like that; she falls.
TJ: Just like before, even though he doesn't want to, he finds his body moves before he can do anything about it and his hand grabs hers, body half over the edge of the school, "Don't do this again, not again, not you Hazel!"
Chase: He hadn't been there the first time, but Chase had no problem recognizing the scene, knowing how this story unfolds, yet being unable to do anything but freeze.
Samuel: Sam tried to move. But there was so much fear surging through his veins, more fear than before. He was so scared he was going to witness the same thing again and he was.
Carlie: Carlie lets out a scream that causes her blood to run cold, her eyes filled with tears as she runs over to the edge of the building and attempts to grab onto the girls other hand that's out of reach, "Hazel!" She continues to scream violently, except this time Justin isn't there to stop her angling over the edge.
Millie: They had attempted to alter the past before and it had made things even worse, but that was a reality where the girl on the edge of the building had never existed. What would it be like if she had never died to begin with? "Someone grab Carlie," she panics, already hurrying in the other girl's direction.
Andy: Andy stares in horror, "The police," he musters, "The authorities," everything in his life goes by the book, he can't put himself inside of this situations urgency.
Faye: Faye stares, her hand reaching for Andy's phone as she notices that Ella too hasn't joined them back in time, "Fucking hell!" she cries, dialling the number, "Hi. A girl. She's going to jump--" a pause, "WE DON'T HAVE 9 FUCKING MINUTES!"
Samuel: Sam's gaze moved from Tyson and Hazel towards Justin. This was Justin's fault. He thought he didn't care anymore but watching it all over again, he couldn't help but to see red.
Hazel: Hazel doesn't do anything but stare at TJ and as her hand slips, she lets the other one fall absently away mid-air, no attempts to save herself, a strange look in her eyes, "Just let me go," it is a request.
Millie: She can hear Faye yelling at someone, just as she reached out to grab at Carlie. "Carlie, please don't lean over any further. TJ's got her. He's trying his best," she manages to gasp out, fingers digging into the girl's arm sharply.
Julian: Julian backs up against the greenhouse atop of the roof, "I can't believe this is happening again."
Samuel: Sam wished Ella had completely ran Justin over that night he cut the breaks off Ella's car.
Carlie: Carlie continues to scream like her lungs are about to give out, hysterical tears streaming down her face, falling limply to the ground beside TJ, "He's not going to get her!" It's a scream, an accusation, "He's not going to save her!"
Millie: "Sam, Julian, anyone-Help TJ pull her up," she yells, panic clear in her voice. Carlie falls and Millie reaches out, holding onto her in a half-hug, half hold. "Carlie," she says softly, voice shaky because she knows that in their reality, he doesn't. Did that have to be their reality?
TJ: He can barely hear his own thoughts over the words everyone else is speaking and when he does he's horrified to find himself crying as he reaches over the edge, his other hand grabbing at her, "Hazel, take my hand, damn it," he pushes, his eyes wide, "Please, jsut take my hand."
Andy: "Nine minutes. We just have to wait nine minutes. Nine minutes," Andy repeats, his heart beating hard inside his ches.t
Hazel: Hazel reaches upwards and her other hand meets TJ's, "Okay."
Sean: Sean stares at the scene unfolding with a frown on his face because he knows this is not real; it can't plausibly be.
Carlie: Carlie continues to cry, her fear staying at the same level no matter how she tries to express it, her arms barely reacting to Millie, "Why is she doing this?"
Samuel: Sam's gaze flitted back to TJ, Carlie, and Hazel but he still didn't move from his spot. Hazel was a frightening creature for being able straddle the line between life and death just like that. Fear. Fear. Fear. He wanted to move, he wanted to save her, but he couldn't take that one step. His mind raced at the possibility of everything being altered. He wanted it to be over so bad.
TJ: "...Okay?" He doesn't understand, her hand meeting his, it doesn't make any sense, but as he grabs her he doesn't care, even though a part of him knows this wasn't how this night ends, as he pulls her from the edge of the roof, he doesn't care.
Millie: "I don't know," she whispers before thinking about it, honesty clear in her voice. It's only when she looks up to see that TJ is pulling Hazel from the edge of the roof that her focus shifts from Carlie. "She's-", a pause, confusion and fragile hope in her voice. Still holding onto the girl, she remains sitting on the ground.
Hazel: As she's swung her shoe digs into the edge and she pulls herself up, this time as she is yanked back onto her feet, her head spinning, she steps away from the edge, "So dramatic," she crosses her arms, a strange edge to her voice as she runs a hand through her hair and blinks at the crowd of people she doens't even recognise all of.
Lily: It wasn't how the story ended... at least it wasn't before. What was this going to do to their reality?
Samuel: He fell on his knees as he saw TJ save Hazel. He didn't know what was happening anymore. He didn't know what his life would become now that Hazel wasn't dead anymore.
Tyler/Joey: Joey's eyes were wide with fear, wondering why he had decided to not get high that day. He hadn't been all that there the first time everything had happened, his mind in a whole other world, but to experience it sober seemed to be leaving a mark on him. How had destroying the time machine suddenly turned into this? "Are we changing the future again?" he mumbled in confusion.
TJ: TJ stared at Hazel, his eyes wide as if she was going to disintegrate in front of his eyes. He stepped backwards and turned back with his empty hands, a look of horror on his face, his eyes still filled with tears.
Sean: Sean watched with narrowed eyes, "This cannot be happening," he aired.
Carlie: Carlie, still sobbing, dragged herself up by the edge of the building, her eyes wide with fear and hurt, no forgiveness there, "Hazel, what the hell were you thinking?"
Andy: Andy drops his phone, a sigh escaping his lips.
Hazel: Hazel looks at Carlie and a foreign expression crosses her face, her hand travels to her stomach and suddenly she pales, her footing lost, she stumbles backwards like she's been kicked and just like that, once again... She falls over the edge.
Millie: Head still spinning, the girl stood up, coming to stand shakily on her feet. It was only then that it fully registered they were back in their younger bodies, hair short around her chin and stomach absent. What would saving Hazel mean in their world?
Samuel: "She's high," Sam finally managed to say. "Look at her!"
Faye: It seemed they didn't have to worry about what saving Hazel would do. Faye's face turned into an expression of horror, "IS THIS FUCKING SERIOUS?"
TJ: TJ turned a second too late and this time although he dived and skin grazed on gravel; He did not catch her.
Tyler/Joey: Tyler gasped in surprised as he saw the girl lurch backwards. "What the fuck?" he said once again. There was no other words to describe what he was feeling, hand on his heart as he felt it beat widely. TJ saving her just to have the girl be thrown back by a weird force seemed impossible, but yet again this school had surprised him.
Narrator: The light that consumed them moments earlier tears apart the scene that they are apart of and when they find themselves reappearing, they are in the drawing room of the Kigonyi's old house on the night of the fire that killed Tyler's entire family.
Millie: "No." It fell from her lips, flat, disbelieving. "Not again. Not-" She was silent as she simply stared at the edge.
TJ: On the ground he found that he was sitting somewhere entirely different, elbows still grazed and bleeding but this scene unfamiliar to him. His tears died before they fell, "Where are we?"
Sean: "You are watching everything you wished to change," Sean realised, his voice entirely void of emotion.
Samuel: "Make it fucking stop."
Chase: Chase's mind is still reeling from watching Hazel survive. And then die. And now being transported to a completely unknown space. "Wait what?"
Millie: "Whose is this?" She squeaked out, glancing over at Sean.
Tyler/Joey: Tyler's stomach lurches with a pull as they travel in time again, a little disoriented before he realized where they were. "No," he whispered in anguish. "Please, no."
Faye: "How the hell do we make it stop? What the hell is happening? We fucked up the universe," Faye cried smashing her foot against a nearby table, her hair flying in every direction.
Lily: Glancing around the unfamiliar room her eyes narrowed. "Again?" she murmured, hardly speaking to anyone in particular. Though her gaze stops on Sean as he speaks.
Julian: Julian looks at Tyler, "What's wrong? Where are we?"
Chase: "Where are we? What's about to happen?" If what Sean was saying was tue, someone had to know this place.
Chase: (*true I h8 myself)
Millie: Looking over at Tyler, the pain on his face answered the question they all were thinking of. "Oh, Tyler," she frowned, knowing that whatever happened must have been horrible.
Narrator: The glass of the window shatters, something alight thrown in by a face that seems almost familiar but is not quite identifiable to any of them. The room starts to catch on fire, flames spreading across the floor boards.
Tyler/Joey: Tyler moved forward, taking a couple of steps towards a fire mantle with pictures of his family. Hearing the questions, but unable to wrap his mind around them, hand raising to touch a picture of his mother. The fire making him jump back, running towards the door, hand grasping the doorknob with force as he pulled. "My parents," he cried out.
TJ: TJ immediately stood up as fire overtook the floor beneath them, the face not someone he knew, an unsettled feeling on his stomach. Somehow what good was left inside of him caused him to grab Lily and Millie by the arms, "Get up a floor, we have to get onto higher ground."
Chase: "Won't the floor just collapse?" Chase yelled, panic growing along with the flames grew around them. "We need to get out of here!"
Millie: The minute she saw the flames, she froze, memories from both lives creeping in and leaving only fear. "Tyler, someone get Tyler," she yelled out, TJ's hand on her arm finally forcing her to move.
Lily: As she was grabbed she quickly moved with the other two, "But-"
Sean: Sean glanced at the spreading fire and then at Tyler who seemed to be in disarray, knowing this moment already himself. He had stopped it once. "Tyler," his voice was stern, "This version is not reality, we must leave it behind," he strode into the hallway.
Faye: "Chase is right." Words she didn't like saying about anyone, "We need to get out, not up. We don't know how much time we have. Tyler, which way's out?!"
Julian: Julian inally registered what was going on, "Oh, /fuck/," he muttered, imagining how he'd feel transported back to a moment like this. His legs work before his head and he's following.
Samuel: "Amazing. We're like in hell where we all probably belong."
Chase: He didn't even have time to celebrate the phrase he had never heard leave Faye's mouth out of all the years he'd known her. The only thing on Chases mind was escaping. "Tyler?!"
Tyler/Joey: "It's not a reality?" he laughed hysterically. He turned to look at Faye, eye looking around widely as he stared at everyone he seemed to have learned to care about rather quickly. "There's a staircase that leads to the back porch, just go straight and then make a left turn two doors down." He stepped out of the room, throwing them a look of fear. "Good luck."
TJ: TJ does as instructed, too busy to understand the other man isn't coming as he pushes to the exit, opening it to cool air in his despair and collapsing on the grass outside trying to deal with the loss he has now lived far too many times.
Julian: "Tyler, aren't you coming?"
Samuel: Sam sprinted out of the house, high on adrenaline. "This is ridiculous."
Millie: She couldn't imagine being transported back to the moment that you lost your family, and her heart felt as if it was breaking for the boy. "Tyler, you have to come with us. I know that you want to stop it, but you saw how it was with Hazel. These things-We can't change them."
Faye: Faye lets out an angry groan as she too falls back onto the damp grass, her fingers wrapped around in her hair as she slams her hands against her scalp several times, "This stupid fucking thing."
Tyler/Joey: "I've already lost them twice guys," he whispered out loud. "Just go."
Narrator: Before anyone can do anything, just as the flames of the house begin to fully climb once again a blinding light surrounds them all and everything that they can see, visuals blocked by the same light that has taken them to their past. When they arrive in the side room of a chapel, nobody has any idea where they are.
Lily: Lily follows close behind, finding herself outside she's sure by this point that the frown on her face is going to be glued there by the end of this.
Chase: "Okay great. Now where are we?"
Millie: "No. No, we're not going to just leave you here. Please, Tyler," she is begging the boy, but then the white light returns and suddenly they arrive in a chapel she does not recognize.
Narrator: Before they can think of anything else, their physical appearance begins to jumble and chance, still recognisable but definitely different. They find themselves in smart clothes.
Samuel: "This give me vibes of that creepy Chapel of Love song," he commented.
Faye: Faye finds herself physically changing, her nails growing in front of her eyes, an inch added to her height, a frown meeting lips that are at least the same, "I love weddings."
Tyler/Joey: Tyler cries out as the light surrounds them again, unable to after his family. Eyes falling down as he see's the new place, tears flowing as he curses out Whittemore. "Where the fuck are we?" he asks as he tries to deal with it all.
Julian: Julian finds himself backed up against an entirely new wall this time, "Well, this is calmer."
Sean: Sean glances around, his shoulders raising in a shrug, "I haven't a clue on this one."
Lily: Lily's gaze only widens at their new surroundings.
Samuel: "Who's getting married?" Sam asked, looking around.
Narrator: There is a small shift in time that is unaccounted for in which they all find themselves moved one step, Chase's hand on the door knob.
TJ: TJ blinks, "What just happened?"
Millie: Tyler's presence calms her down, but as she reaches up to push back a strand of hair, she realizes it's much shorter. She blinks and she's moved, something which she can't explain. "I have no idea."
Lily: "A glitch?" She questions.
Faye: Faye stares at the handle that now has Chase's hand over it and she presses a hand to her head, "I guess you better open the door."
Samuel: "A glitch in matrix. Let's hope our existence don't get glitched like what happened to TJ last time."
Chase: Chase looks down at his hand, then back at the room full of people. "I-- guess so...?" he replied, turning back to the door. Slowly, he pushed it open.
Sean: "It amuses me that even technological time travel has systematical glitches," Sean pointed out, his appearance not physically altered much to his surprise.
Narrator: The door opens into the Chapel to find no witnesses, a Priest and...
Mr Myers entered for the first time 40 hours ago
Tessa entered for the first time 40 hours ago
Tessa: "I do."
Samuel: "NO FUCKING WAY."
Sean: Sean stares, "The heathen lives."
Millie: "What the fuck," she chokes out, immediately looking over at Chase.
Julian: "What the fuck Chase!"
Faye: Faye stares open mouthed. Of all things, she did not expect THIS.
Chase: "Wh--- what? What is this?" Chase gasps for air.
Samuel: "Is that Tessa's sugar daddy?" He whispered hoarsely.
Tessa: Tessa turns with an annoyed expression on her face. Why are they ruining her special day? It's only as she glances over that she recognises them, "What are they doing here?" She stared at her new husband, tearing her hand away, "I can't believe you didn't tell me you told /him/."
Millie: Millie stares, Tessa's precense disorienting but the recent information she had received about Mr. Myers causing her to clench her hands in anger. He was dead in the future, but he was perfectly alive and just as shady a character here.
Mr Myers: He swung between his son and his new wife, an aggravated expression on his face, "I didn't tell him anything, or them," he grabbed her wrist, "Tessa, darling, I'd never do that to you. Clearly they wanted to object but were too late. Let's just go to Mexico."
TJ: TJ starts laughing so hard he thinks he might die, his lungs physically aching, "Yeah, why don't we all fucking go to Mexico!"
Chase: "Dad....?" he finally manages to choke out, still not sure what's going on.
Faye: Faye stares at the scene unfolding and her hand lightly pushes against Chase's wrist but that's all, not sure what is happening or whether it's good or bad. Honestly, it doens't make much difference to her.
Millie: She nearly steps over to the boy, but she notices Faye's hand moving closer to his wrist and stays put, simply glaring at the man.
Sean: At this point even Sean has had enough and steps towards the happily married couple (apparently), a distaste older than time clearer in his expression, "This is ridiculous. This woman is evil and deserves to be miserable not go to Mexico, she's supposed to be dead," he rose his arms, "I cannot believe that you refused to marry me and yet you marry this man who's old enough to be your Father. Shame on you, Tessa McGuire."
Julian: Julian can't wrap his head around what's happening anymore so he just gawps.
Chase: He doesn't even notice Faye's hand at first, until he's moving his to hold onto hers for some sort of stability to stop him from passing out. His dad. Alive. Conflicting emotions. Tessa. Mexico. What the fuck.
Samuel: "At least no one dies in this one."
Tessa: Tessa steps forwards and slaps Sean across the face, "It's not my fault you look like a serial killer!" She launches into her argument, "I deserve things, and money, and maybe I married an old man but... sorry sweetie," she catches herself.
Mr Myers: "I can't believe you're using me for my money!" He says as if it wasn't obvious. A genuinely hurt expression on his face.
Millie: Millie blinks.
Chase: "How are you two married-- what? Where-- when-- what is happening?!" Chase demands.
TJ: "What is happening right now? Can someone just level with me here? What the fuck is actually happening?"
Samuel: "Sean has a BIG penis, Tessa. He might look like a serial killer but you're missing out."
Sean: Sean stares but doesn't move, the mark on his face not bothering him as he grins, "Ah, brilliant."
Tessa: "WHY ARE YOU RUINING MY WEDDING DAY?" Tessa screams.
Chase: "HOW ARE YOU GETTING MARRIED?" Chase yells back.
Tessa: "WE'RE IN LOVE!" Tessa yells, "GOD, I HAD NO IDEA YOU WERE ALL SO STUPID."
Mr Myers: "Tessa, that's enough, he is my son," the words are strange.
Tessa: "Fine! Why don't you go fuck Sean instead!" She flings her ring at Millie by accident.
Chase: "Since fucking when?!" He means it as a response to Tessa, but it strangely fits with his father's words.
Millie: She feels the ring bounce off of her shoulder, only glancing down briefly before looking up at Chase.
Narrator: The light blares but this time instead of anything else it shatters the scene at hand, each part of it falling away like shards of glass into nothingness as suddenly they find themselves physically changing. By estimate at least 30 years added to their current age when they arrive in a white room.
Chase: "Wait--" Chase pleads with the universe, as everything changes yet again. He still had so many questions and so few answers. And so little time, which is ironic because it now looks like plenty of time has passed. "God. Where are we now?"
Lily: Folding her arms across her chest yet again she lets out an irritated sigh. "This is like a never ending cycle."
TJ: Glancing down at his hands, the wear of time was clearly visible and he couldn't help but gulp at the sight of the others, his fingers balling into fists, "Our whole lives have passed. Did it get any better?"
Sean: Sean still looks the same and as he stands there he blinks, "I was quite enjoying being reunited with Tessa."
Millie: The transition is different this time, but there is too much going on for her to pin point why that would be. It takes her a moment to realize that the others are even there, their faces aged in a way that makes her feel slightly uncomfortable. "I don't like white rooms," she mutters quietly to herself, the smell of hand sanitizer coming to mind.
Tori entered for the first time 40 hours ago
Narrator: The door to the room opens and a 16 year old girl walks in.
Tori: Her smile is polite when she enters the room, if anything slightly sheepish, "Are you guys here to do your interview?"
Chase: "Interview....?" Chase repeats the word. "For what?"
Julian: Julian blinks, looks around, and blinks some more. Are they meant to answer? What the hell is happening now?
Samuel: "What interview?" This was all confusing.
Millie: "Yes?" Pausing, she smiles at the girl, attempting to keep composed. "What interview would that be again?"
Tori: Looking around with a bemused expression she clears her throat, "Oh, I'm sorry, I know it must be horrible. I can't imagine seeing something like that," her voice is a low whisper, "About your friends. About the fire. It's been decades now, you said you were finally ready to talk about it."
Rose/Jonah entered for the first time 40 hours ago
Samuel: What fire was she talking about? Sam didn't react and just waited for that light to come again.
TJ: He felt his heard pound in his chest, his entire life flashing before his eyes but no recollection of anything past twenty one years old because he was yet to live it. He didn't know what this version of events was.
Faye: "Fire?!" She stood up from her seat immediately, a protest lost as she looked at the girl and around at the faces of old worn friends. "Is this what happens to us?"
Tyler/Joey: Joey could feel his head starting to hurt with each time skip he'd gone through. "Fire?" he whispered confused. "Interview about a fire?"
Millie: "When was the fire? What year was it? What friends?" She is well aware the girl probably thinks she's crazy, but this future was one they knew nothing about, and the thought of more loss made her panic.
Tori: Tori walks into the room in an attempt to straighten things out, "Let's all just try and calm down, I know the memories must be traumatic," she glances over at Millie, "2016."
Millie: "I'm sorry. You're right, it's-it's been quite some time since we've spoken about it." Pausing, she looked at the girl. "What exactly have you heard? That will help us know what to clarify and add on."
Narrator: Immediately the scene shatters once more and when they find themselves appearing again it seems it is not long from their original departure date, perhaps only a few years in comparison, they stand beside a grave in the rain. A small child runs up and hits against Chase's legs, "Daddy!"
Chase: "Who died? What friends?" Chase questioned, ignoring her attempts to calm them down. If they freaked her out, it wasn't like it mattered. They would probably flash to some new place soon anyways.
Sean: Sean glanced down at the grave, his hand resting on it momentarily and a frown appearing on his features, "For goodness sake, I would really appreciate it if we could stick to one timeline."
Tyler/Joey: Tyler scrunched his eyebrows at the girl, rubbing the last of his tears from his face. Feeling awkward in his new body, looking down at his hands to see them look older. Staring at everyone, almost unable to recognize them in their older stages of life. "Mind fuck," he said out loud.
Millie: The words are barely past her lips before it shatters once more. A small child is by Chase's legs, and it distracts her so much that she doesn't even realize where they are at first.
Chase: His question again went unanswered and this time they were in the rain, beside a grave, and a child bumped into his leg. His child. "Wha--" He glanced back up at Millie, confused.
Rose/Jonah: Rose's eyes furrowed in confusion at the grave before her, getting distracted by the small child at Chase's feet.
Faye: Faye feels her head spinning and strangely she looks over at Sam like he knows something that she doesn't although that can't be true. She lets out a sigh.
Samuel: "Whose grave is that?" He asked Chase. Hopefully just the grave of Chase's dad instead of one of them.
Lily: When the scene changes Lily simply shakes her head, eyes scanning over the grave that's near them.
TJ: TJ glances down at the grave and the platter on it is one that he reads aloud, hard on the air, "Kitty," and that's all he says, a mental curse, a single word that causes him to want to say no more.
Sean: Sean looks at the grave and then he simply nods, "I suppose it is." He is not surprised, a short sigh leaving his lips as he adjusts his tie with acceptance.
Julian: Julian looks at the small child then the grave. It seems like he never has anything to say. He looks at Tyler and offers an awkward smile.
Millie: She blinks, simply shaking her head at Chase, staring at the child and not seeing how the ages could match up. "Oh no," it's out before she can stop it, staring at the grave.
Lily: The name echos faintly in her mind - from a previous conversation that didn't feel as if it happened so long ago. "What happened?" The question is soft, she doesn't want to be asking it.
Rose/Jonah: Jonah looks towards Sean as the word leaves TJ's lips. Surely he cared more than he let on.
Samuel: "Is it a grave of a fucking cat or Katherina's?" He wanted to be sure but he couldn't bring himself to look at it.
Tyler/Joey: Tyler pauses as he hears the name, looking up at TJ with doubt. "I think i might of heard you wrong, man." Taking a step forward, hands sliding into his pocket, head cocked to the side. "Could you repeat that once more."
Sean: "A rare illness caused by being created from the genetics of a dying woman, I suppose," he drops to a crouch, a flower plucked from a bunch as he lays it on top of the grave, rain soaking through his shirt as he taps it lightly.
TJ: TJ runs a hand across his face, this is the last thing he wanted. His thoughts of Jesse are long gone after all of this, a distant memory of right and wrong, "God!" And he means it, he means literal God, "Why are you doing this to us?"
Millie: The other scenes had been from the past, pain they had already lived through, but this was one that waited for them years ahead. It wasn't exactly the happy future she had always hoped for. TJ's words echoed in her mind, and in that moment she couldn't blame him for asking.
Narrator: The scene shifts, they find themselves standing in a church, no time is clear, in fact, they are totally unrecognisable even to themselves and each of them is holding an unstruck match. It appears they are present at some kind of mass memorial, their turn now to light a candle for the unnamed people they are all mourning.
Samuel: "When will this end?" He asked though he doubted anyone knew the answer.
TJ: The unstruck match in his hand shook violently, he was unable to control himself, whether it was rage or despair, he did not know any longer. "Never."
Faye: Faye's match dropped from her fingertips unlit as she looked around to find people dressed in black, words spoken by people she didn't recognise.
Julian: "Are we even... us?" Julian asked, because at this point, he wasn't sure.
Millie: It had been years since she had willingly held a match, many more years given their current predicament. She couldn't recognize the others around her, but she knew thy must have been there. "Who is this for?" Her voice is quiet, unsure who she is even speaking to.
Rose/Jonah: Rose winces, the match falls from her grasp. "No, this can't be the end."
Tyler/Joey: Joey's hands twisted in front of him, unable to keep still as he looked around. There was nothing else he wanted but to be in a room full of ducks, comforted in their presence. "Can't we quit out of this? I want to press the turn off button."
Lily: All it takes is a glance and she's sure she's lost her mind. If it weren't for the fact that they had all been standing together she wouldn't have even believed they were still caught in some time loop. "What is happening?"
Sean: Sean stares at the match within his grasp and his hand is firm, his breath deep, "And yet perhaps it is. We chose to interrupt time and now it has interrupted us," he accepts.
Narrator: The people behind the group clear their throats wanting them to light their candles and move on.
Millie: Head down, she lights the candle, hands shaking, and steps away.
Faye: Faye picks up her match, striking it and lighting the candle. For a second she watches the wick burn and does nothing else.
Sean: Sean lights his match as he leans forwards and lights a candle with the same flame, his gaze fixed on it's burning although he doesn't know what he's mourning. Is there anything he isn't?
Lily: Watching her match light up she presses the flame to the wick before shaking out the match and turning away. Whatever had happened was in the past.
Samuel: Sam lit his candle promptly but all that was in his mind was death.
TJ: Tj reaches out but doesn't quite light the candle, lingering, he blows out the match and walks away.
Rose/Jonah: As Faye picks up her match, Rose brings herself to do the same, striking the match and watching the flame consume the match before lighting it in it's last few moments, the residue from the flame leaving a dark smudge on her hand, as well as her heart.
Tyler/Joey: Joey and Tyler followed along with them all, lighting their candles and walking after everyone else.
Narrator: A loud sound ruptures time and space that they are now sharing, splitting it clean in half as they fall back into their own reality, the same moment in time they left and the time machine itself explodes, a black mark consuming the room and the door blown clean off, knocking them abckwards in it's wake.
TJ: With an angry scream he is knocked backwards onto the ground, his back hitting the ground but he soon sits back up, "I am so fucking..."
Faye: Faye sits up with wide eyes and a slightly disturbed smile. Weddings. Funerals. Everything in between. There is nothing left that she wouldn't believe.
Rose/Jonah: Jonah braces himself on the floor, attempting to get up before checking his surroundings. They were home.
Millie: A sharp pain registers in her side as they're knocked backward, hand instantly coming to rest on her stomach in a slight panic. They're back, and yet she knows that the night is far from over.
Chase: "What... the hell... was that?"
Sean: Sean blinks several times and stands up strangely composed as ever, his hand smoothing down his loose hair, "That was an exciting detour, now we're back with the government."
Lily: Before she can even register what has happened she hits the ground. "What the hell?" Her eyes narrow as she sits up, a sigh escaping her lips. "At least it's gone."
Julian: Julian looked over at Lily and nodded with a confused expression, "Never again."
Tyler/Joey: "How do we escape?" Asked Tyler. "I'm not sure about you guys, but i'd rather not be questioned or thrown into jail."
Chase joined the chat 39 hours ago
Millie: The sharp pain shifts, although this time it's even sharper. It's only when she tries to stand up that she realizes her jeans are wet. "Oh," she mumbles, one hand coming to rest on her stomach. "This is definitely not the time, but I think my water may have just have broke." An odd laugh escapes her lips, but is quickly cut off as the sharp pain registers again.
TJ: "What?" TJ asks, his eyes wide as he sits up, his shirt seeping with his own blood at this point, "Oh God," he whispers in confusion and dejection, moving over to the girl, "OH GOD, WE NEED A TOWEL OR SOMETHING!"
Chase: "Wait what?" Chase spins around to find Millie. "You can't-- are you sure?! Now?!?!?" he asks as he rushes towards her.
Lily: She gives a small smile to Julian, a laugh forming in her throat but it's cut short by their reality. They still have things to settle, and now apparently a baby to deliver.
Faye: Just when Faye was entirely sure this couldn't get any stranger, the unthinkable happens and she stands there, her gaze fixed on Millie who's on the floor, "I can't believe you had to go into labour the one day you wore jeans."
Tyler/Joey: Joey's face lit up. "Finally something happy!" he called out clapping.
Sean: "All of that time travel probably did not help the inter-universe baby cling onto normal aging rates," Sean points out, taking off his blazer and passing it to them.
Julian: At this new development, Julian passes out.
Millie: "I couldn't fit into any of my dresses, these have a stretchy waistband, Jesus," she started to mutter, shrieking out the next word, "CHRIST." TJ was already jumping into action, and she was in too much pain to be all that embarrassed. "This baby has no sense of timing, oh my god, did he just faint?"
Chase: Chase looked down at passed out Julian, who was going to be no help. He rolled his eyes and looked back to TJ. "How close is the nearest hospital?" Probably something that should've been researched before jumping through time and arriving back at a government surrounded Whittemore.
TJ: "Nobody around here does," TJ muttered as if it mattered as he grabbed the blazer and laid it across Millie's lap, looking at Chase he shook his head laughing, "Hospital? Chase, this baby is coming out NOW," he turned back to Millie, no apology in his face - either versions of him would of reacted the same as he tugged her jeans down, "Seen it all before."
Chase: "Like right now?!" his voice cracked. "Oh God. Oh God. Okay. Alright. What do we do?!"
Julian: Julian popped back up, "I'm okay, it's fine, I'm here, I swear," he stared, words drawn off in his horror.
Rose/Jonah: "Chase, hold her hand." Looking towards TJ she shrugged. "What do you need from us?"
Faye: "For Gods sake, Chase! Go hold her hand or something you imbecile! Stop asking a million questions!"
Chase: "Do NOT yell at me right now," Chase snapped back at Faye before grabbing ahold of Millie's hand.
TJ: TJ looked up at Rose with little alarm in his eyes. At this point, why couldn't he deliver a baby? "I don't know, water... water... we need a blanket too. Something soapy," he fretted, "Millie, you just need to push. Don't worry. Punch Chase if he's annoying."
Millie: A nice conversation with April about epidurals and ice chips came to mind as TJ jumped into action, and the girl almost considered just walking out to the authorities at that moment. "Do what Faye said," she managed to get out, the other hand grasping at the floor. "Thanks, Faye."
Faye: "Stop being a drama Queen, Chae, you're not the one giving birth," she looked at Julian on the ground, "You get up too else I'll punch you and I'm not even in labour."
Chase: "Punch Julian, he's the one that passed out."
Tyler/Joey: "Maybe someone should sit behind Millie? Help them support her back, or something." Tyler took a step back from the situation as he said that, wanting to give the girl as much space as possible.
Julian: Julian managed to shuffle to his feet despite his horror, "Fuck you, Chase, I didn't get us into this. I was with her two years and managed not to knock her up and you did it in one night! Nice going!"
Millie: "I swear to God, Julian, if you don't shut your mouth right now I'm going to have Faye punch you," she groaned, wishing that he was close enough to smack at that moment.
Chase: Chase was going to reply, arguing that it technically wasn't even /him/ that got them into this situation either, but Millie's threats shut him up.
Rose/Jonah: Rose rushes out the room, attempting to find the list of things he had wanted. The towels were the easiest to find in the janitars storage. She begun flinging the towels at Julian and Tyler.
Lily: Lily just about lost it, watching all of this play out quickly growing even more worried about what was going to happen after this. Millie was having a /baby/ and the damn government was outside.
Julian: With towels in his hand he walked over and just passed it to Chase, "Here. I don't know what to do."
TJ: TJ was surprisingly calm, as if he had a clue about what he was doing when he had absolutely none, his hands rested on her knees literally staring directly at her vagina (so poetic), "Millie, just focus on pushing," he grabbed one of the towels off Julian with one hand.
Faye: Faye crossed her arms watching Julian and Chase. Why wasn't she born the man?
Tyler/Joey: Tyler felt the towel hit his face, a splutter of sounds as he raised his arm to catch the rest of the towels. "A little warning!" he called out. Passing some of the towels to TJ, before settling them besides him. "Bowl of water to clean the munchkin?"
Millie: "Can someone do what Tyler said? The back thing? Because," she stopped, shaking her head, trying to focus on what TJ was saying. "I'm trying, this isn't-this isn't supposed to happen so quickly, I'm not-. Okay, push," she muttered to herself, doing as the boy said.
TJ: "Tyler, get behind her, your idea," Tj told him as he nodded half along with his words, "Rose or Jonah can get some water, it's fine, just get behind her," he squeezed Millie's knees, "You're doing okay - just keep going."
Rose/Jonah: Once the towels were sorted she made her way to the bathroom, watching the tap drip gently against the sink. "What am i meant to fill?" Looking around the room, she was met with one of the only empty containers in the room. An old construction hat. "What is this even doing here," she cringed filling the makeshift bowl with water.
Sean: Sean watched Rose bring the makeshift bowl of water, his hand lightly on his tie. He was not sure what to make of this whole situation. Perhaps it was better for him to say nothing at all.
Rose/Jonah: "Here" she said, placing the water gently beside Tyson
Millie: The girl wasn't paying attention to TJ's instructions to the others, simply trying to focus on what she was doing. It would have been nice to have the medication, a bed, but most of all she really wished that her mother was there. "I'm trying," she cried out, nodding as she continued pushing, just wanting it to be over. Chase's hand was tight in hers, nails digging in and leaving little crescent moons.
Rose/Jonah: Rose opened her mouth, to say what, she wasn't sure. No word of protest escaped her lips before he was gone; his figure consumed with smoke as she grabbed the door that threatened to close shut, the metal hotter than ever as it singed her skin. "CLARA!" she screamed.
Chase joined the chat 38 hours ago
Lily: "Clara-" Lily ran for the door, coughing as she did her hands pressing to the metal as Rose's did in an attempt to help keep it open.
Aiden: Aiden froze at the same time Millie did, eyes flashing to the building. "Oh God," he whispered, nausea settling in his stomach. "No. No, it'll be okay."
TJ: The heat was almost unbearable and even though beam after beam flew from above, he did not stop, staircase rocky under his grip, "Clara! Clara! Where are you?" he screamed out swiping at the thick smoke that covered the building.
Gabe: Hearing the scream, Gabes heart stopped and he watched as TJ moved back into the building.
Rose/Jonah: Jonah shook his head. How had they not seen this coming? It was Whittemore, and despite everything that had changed, history always found a way of repeating itself. As Sean looked towards him, he knew they were thinking the same thing.
Faye: "It's okay. He'll make it. Everyone else did." Faye told them all.
Millie: "Aiden, it's Clara. It's-" she held the baby in her arms, but they were shaking. "Oh God, this has happened-it's happened too many times. And TJ will go back in, he always goes back." Even Faye's words weren't enough to calm her down.
Sean: Sean rubbed his chin anxiously. He did not care much for his own life but the others were of importance, he did not want to see them perish like this but there was nothing he could do. He had watched the same man die once, watched Clara Fawkes almost burn. Perhaps it should of been less painful a second time.
Clara: She recognized the voice in the distance, surrounded by smoke, she couldn't see but she knew. Dread filled her, memories from another life, another time. "Tj," she shouted back, eyes burning, "Tj, leave! Go! It's okay, go!"
Samuel: "DID ANYONE CALL THE FIRE MARSHALS?"
Julian: "How can we call anyone?! The government are literally outside?!"
Aiden: "It's okay," Aiden promised, it was a promise he couldn't make but Millie had been through enough. "She'll be okay. He'll be okay. This life isn't that life." He was trying to calm himself with his words as well, "You're still here, aren't you?"
Lily: There were tears in her eyes as she glanced over at Rose, "They're gonna come back out. They have to," her arms shook and she wasn't sure if it was from the pain of the metal or her fear, "Right?"
TJ: That had been a different life and yet he found himself making the same promises, her debates nothing to her, he moved broken pieces of building out the way, "Clara, come on," he reached out, picking the girl up with force, his body stronger than hers most likely, "Don't worry."
Gabe: "This seriously cant be happening again, right. You learn from history and change and then it doesnt repeat, right?" Gabe commented to no one in particular
Freddie: From where Freddie sat, he looked over at Gabe, he was concerned but he had a gut feeling that this time things wouldn't end the same way. He hoped he was right. "He'll fix it. He knows what he's doing."
Rose/Jonah: Rose didn't take her eyes off the room, hoping and praying to any god that would listen to allow them to come out safely. At the sound of a frightened voice, one that matched the one in her head, she forced a smile, nodding sternly. "Yes, it's Tyson. He'll be fine."
Millie: She stared up at the boy, trying to catch her breath before nodding slowly. "I-I am. They have to be okay. They have to," she nodded, closing her eyes for a moment. "Can you-Can you hold her? My hands are shaking and I-I don't want to drop her. Just-Just support her head and neck. That's all you need to do, and keep her close to your chest."
Rose/Jonah joined the chat 38 hours ago
Clara: "Tyson, you need to go," Clara insisted, but as he lifted her, she clung to him. She wouldn't let him throw her this time. She wouldn't let heave him alone. If he burned, she would burn with him.
TJ: "We go together. We've been in too many cliques," the joke was light but everything else was not and this time there was no fire escape on the second floor. There was no second attempt. There was only one shot, one door, one chance and he would do anything to protect her because he had a very bad feeling this time this was the only reality he knew. "Clara," his breath was short, "You have to let me go, but we'll get to the door first."
Aiden: "Uh, y-yeah," Aiden nodded, swallowing his nerves and holding his arms at. He didn't think he had ever held a baby before but he wasn't shaking at least, it wasn't like he couldn't be gentle enough to avoid dropping her. "Yeah, I'll hold her."
Faye: "Everything will be fine," and Faye didn't know if she meant that included them but days would pass and weeks and months and things would change, they would be okay. No matter what.
Narrator: The metal bar of the fire escape exit door begins to melt from the extreme heat and pressure, freeing it at a slight angle from one side.
Millie: "Okay," she nodded, taking in a quick breath and carefully putting the baby into his arms. "You're just going to go to Uncle Aiden for a second, okay? He's great, I promise," she muttered to the baby, stepping back when she was sure that he had her and would be okay. "Look, you're-you're doing great. A natural." She was rambling, she knew this, but at least it was keeping her distracted.
Rose/Jonah: "No," Rose yelled, struggling to hold the metal at all now, the heat impossible as the door began to come from its frame from the heat. "TYSON HURRY"
Julian: Julian met Rose and Lily, his own hands cloaked in a towel pressing against the door, "I'll help. It's melting. This place is going to start collapsing."
Clara: She laughed at his comment, a shaky sound. It was in that moment that she realized she no longer wanted to die. She had nothing to lose and yet she did not want to lose it. "No," she shook her head, tears filling her eyes as she realized this was something that they might not be able to avoid. "You won't make it."
Lily: "No, it can't yet," her voice shook as she spoke, "Not yet." She willed the building not to fall - as if that would help even the slightest.
Gabe: "There has to be something we can do. We cant just let them die." Gabe reasoned quickly not wanting to believe this was happening
Aiden: Aiden took the baby carefully, doing as she said, supporting her head and neck, holding her to his chest. In an odd way, it seemed to calm him down, glancing down at her tiny face. "She's lying," he whispered to the baby, "But we'll let her keep thinking I'm great, won't we?"
TJ: Her eyes filled with tears but his did not and as he stifled a bloody cough he shook his head, "I will," the door was in sight and the girls screams were louder than the collapsing building. The door reached, he put Clara down on the damp grass. "Let go of the door now, it's okay," but his relief didn't feel real.
Julian: Julian let go of the door relieved.
Chase: "You're a natural, Aiden," Chase encouraged, trying to keep his mind off of all that was happening around them.
Rose/Jonah: Rose let go of the door, letting out a sigh of relief as the two made it out.
Aiden: Aiden glanced up with a small smile, "Thanks."
Millie: Hearing Rose and Lily screaming, she looked over, knowing that the little girl was safe and focusing on their friends. "Are they out? Is everyone out?"
Lily: Lily let the door go, eyes wide as she stared at the others.
Samuel: Sam cried in relief as he saw Clara and TJ emerge from the burning building. He wouldn't be able to handle losing Clara, she was the only real family he had left.
Gabe: As they made it out, Gabe let out a quick breath he had been holding in. "Thank god."
Narrator: The door is released with such force that instead of snapping closed it swings back on it's hinges, melted parts swinging clean on the hinges and in a complete reverse motion back outwards. The handle of the door that was melted out of place, in this motion, impales TJ.
Rose/Jonah: Rose lets out a scream, her hands coming up to cover her mouth as she sees the sights before her.
Lily: She pales at the sight, a scream coming from her mouth that she doesn't even place as her own.
TJ: The motion of the handle takes him by such surprise that he doesn't actually notice it before it cuts clean through his abdomen, at which point he just looks down at the melting rod which in turn disconnects from the door and slips onto the ground.
Chase: "Oh my God, no."
Clara: Clara tried to scream but she couldn't, all of the tears in her eyes spilling over as she just stared, not moving, not blinking.
Justin/Kayla entered for the first time 38 hours ago
Sean: Even for Sean, this was too much. The man stood there with widened eyes.
Aiden: Aiden heard the screaming, he didn't look up, still staring down at the baby, making sure that she couldn't see the sight before her with her innocent eyes, even if she was too young to comprehend or understand.
Gabe: Hearing the scream, Gabes eyes went to TJ before his hand went over his mouth letting out a choked sob
Julian: Julian couldn't help himself, doubling over he threw up.
Millie: "No," she mutters, one hand coming up to cover her mouth. "Oh God, no, we need to-we need to call an ambulance. He's-" she's muttering, hands digging into her pockets as she tries to do something.
Beatrice: "Oh my God," Beatrice whispered, frozen.
Rose/Jonah: "Someone call an ambulance!" Rose screamed, rushing to his side, looking down at the injury, her hands shaking profusely.
Freddie: Freddie stared, feeling sick, hoping, wishing this was all just a nightmare. A bad dream. Another life that was not theirs.
Lily: She reached out, tears starting to fall from her eyes. "We have to move him - the building." This couldn't be happening.
TJ: Despite the clearly gaping injury and the loss of pretty much all connection from his lower body, blood hands push at his own stomach knowing that as long as the pole stays in tact technically he's not going to die. Isn't that what happens in those terrible car wrecks? It's a weird thought. "Listen, guys, listen," back against the wall almost, "You need to listen to me, please."
Samuel: His relief didn't last long, immediately replaced with the horror of seeing TJ get impaled through his abdomen. "Where's Texas?! Texas could help him... Tommy, where's Tommy?! They could help TJ!"
Narrator: The sound of sirens can be heard, the government break through the front doors of Whittemore.
TJ: "Please! Listen to me!"
Aiden: He glanced up, only briefly, his stomach twisting as he looked back down at the baby. "It's okay," he promised in a soft voice, offering her a strained smile. "Every day of your life won't be like this. I promise."
Lily: The girl stares at him, nodding almost frantically. She's trying to form words but they don't make it to her mouth.
Clara: "No," Clara whispered, finally finding her words, coughing from the smoke she had breathed in, she didn't notice. "No, this isn't... real, this-- Tj..."
TJ: He looks at whomever he can and gulps back blood that has nothing to do with his new injury, "You have to promise never to talk again. All of you. Not a word. Not a peep. We brign each other pain. We can't be friends. We can't be anything. If we all live then we get out of here and we never talk about Whittemore again, we never talk about each other, to each other. We move on. This is over. Promise me now that no matter what, Whittemore is done and so are we. All of us. We can't be anything anymore."
Rose/Jonah: Rose shakes her head at the boys words. "But Ty, we're stronger together remember?" she walks closer towards him, wincing at seeing him in so much pain.
TJ: "Look. At. Me." The words are harsh, tears don't even brim in his eyes, he raises his arms, "Fucking look at me. Look at us. We ruin everything. We're not stronger together. We're nothing," and then his words are thick, heavy, "I can't do this anymore."
Clara: Clara couldn't make sense of any of his words, she couldn't make sense of anything, she couldn't even see through the tears that blurred her vision.
Gabe: "I dont think thats for you to decide TJ. If some of us dont want to talk anymore, thats fine. If you dont want to talk to us anymore, thats okay but Im not just forgetting you all again." Gabe commented.
Lily: At his words her gaze falters from his for a moment - words registering in her brain. And it feels like someone has just punched her in the stomach, but she only gives a nod. If they were partners in this then she had to stay on his side, the night wasn't finished yet. "He's right."
Julian: "Maybe it is for him to decide. If it wasn't for TJ most of us would of never worked together to begin with," he bit his lip, "Maybe it's fair."
Chase: Chase shook his head, looking around at the people around him. He couldn't just-- not talk to them? Any of them?
TJ: TJ let out a slow and bitter laugh, his eyes shutting for a moment, "Nothing was ever for me to decide, was it? I'm trying to help you, for one god damn moment in your life can you actually listen to me before it's too late."
Clara: "Just get help," Clara screamed, she didn't care what promise he was trying to get them to make, "Just get him some fucking help!"
Chase: "TJ how about we all talk about this when you're not bleeding out because of a giant metal rod, okay?"
Rose/Jonah: The tears that brimmed in Rose's eyes fell down her cheek now and she rushed to wipe them away. His words felt like knives to her chest. She couldn't help but feel they were directly aimed at her. /We're nothing/.
Millie: How could they argue with a man that had just been impaled making sure that they were all out safely? It made her feel sick, and yet she couldn't think about that at the moment. "I called. They'll be here, they'll-they should be here any minute now."
Faye: Faye looked around, her gaze briefly meeting Chase's. Her heart was heavy but a part of her knew that he was right - what had they done to each other? They were in ruins. Whittemore was a disease. "I'll do it. It doesn't mean we don't care," she pointed out in one sigh.
Clara: "It's too long," her words were nothing above a whisper, she did not move, did not look away, she probably shouldn't be the one panicking as she was not the one bleeding but there wasn't time to be logical, "They're taking so long."
TJ: "There is no other time, Chase," his eyes snapped open, "Guys, the government will tear us apart mentally. If we never talk again they will never find out anything, never connect us back together. All of this, goes away," he paused, "It all goes away," he repeated, "We all go away."
Chase: Chase blinked back at Faye. "What?" he questioned, not sure he was hearing her right. Was she agreeing to the 'never speak to each other again' plan?
Sean: Sean stared and now when he spoke his words were simple, "Good bye," he walked past Julian, "Never rebuild this school." And with that he walked away from the scene completely, almost as if he was never there. Perhaps it was better that he did not give a true answer to how he felt. Nobody would get one for a very long time.
Millie: She clung to TJ's words as if they were the last that she would hear from him, although she refused to believe that was the case. They made her feel sick, it all did, and yet she couldn't find it in her to argue. Never speaking to anyone again felt as if it could kill her, but maybe there was some merit to his words after all.
Faye: Turning back to Chase, she crossed her arms in a tired manner, "You have a child, Chase, that little girl... She needs to grow up without Whittemore and if us all being together is what's always ruining our lives.." she drew off, her face sad, "Then maybe we can't be. Maybe this is it. I don't like it but I'm so tired of watching us hurt each other."
Samuel: "Tyson is right," Sam nodded as he wiped the tears off his eyes. "We all need to start over and we can't do that if we're all around each other, always reminding each others of everything we've been through. Not every hurt makes us stronger, sometimes they just hurt... and I really need at least some of them to be gone."
Freddie: Freddie felt sick as he thought about losing his friends. Millie. Gina. Hannah. All of them. But he felt sicker thinking about the injury TJ was having to deal with and as much as he hated it, it was worth it if they could move on. If they could be happy. It would be worth it.
Chase: "Exactly, I have a child, I don't even think I can legally not talk to Millie, first of all. Secondly-- fine, we get away from Whittemore. But it doesn't-- we don't-- you can't just--" But he was cut off by the nagging in the back of his mind wondering if maybe they were right.
Aiden: Aiden felt tears brimming in his eyes but he blinked them away, smiling down at the baby he was still holding. "It'll be okay," he promised her. "You won't forget about me, will you?"
Julian: The thought of losing them all again was terrible. Unthinkable. Brutal. It made him feel weak all over, but could he say it was wrong? "I think it's the right thing to do," Julian was the last person to stand up for anything but now he was, "I don't want my kids. My kids kids. Any of them... I don't want them to be a part of this. Nobody deserves to be."
Gabe: Gabe couldnt believe everyone, shaking his head quickly as if he was hearing them wrong. "Forgetting everyone doesnt make things better but if everyone wants to just up and stop, fine. I cant hold onto something everyone else wants to give up."
Chase: "And so you're okay with not being around mine?" Chase tried to hide the bitterness in his tone.
Justin/Kayla: Justin stood with his arms across his chest. "So what? We leave and never see each other again?" He questioned. He hadn't spoken to many of them since the wedding, but that was enough to crack him. There were people he couldn't fathom not seeing anymore. Millie and Bea and Sam. And most of all Tyson.
TJ: "Look at the people that we dragged into this," he sighed deflated and empty, "Zach, Danny, Lily, Hannah, David, Sasha... they were a part of our lives before we broguht them here. This place poisons everything." He looked up at Justin and for the first time since their wedding night there was something more than betrayal, an emptiness, a sense of hope dying, one word, "Yes."
Tyler/Joey: Tyler looks down as he contemplates everything, knowing that he'd go back to his apartment the second he could. Sighing as he realized that he'd go back home alone, even leaving Whittemore and everyone behind won't stop the reminders etched on his walls. After all, half of it was all Kitty, the person he'd come to Whittemore for.
Beatrice: Beatrice couldn't imagine letting go of them all again. It had nearly killed her the first time. Maybe this time it would. But this was Tyson's request, possibly his last one - a thought she pushed away quickly - and she knew that he was right. They were better off. It was time for her to be selfless.
Julian: "If it means protecting mine... Wouldn't you do the same for yours?" Julian gestured.
Millie: Her hands were shaking as she looked away from the scene, desperately waiting to hear the familiar sound of sirens. There were too many names being added to the list of people she'd lose, and if she thought of it she wasn't sure she would be able to agree with Tyson. He deserved that much. She glanced over at Aiden, unable to hear what he was saying but smiling tearily just the same. If they were to be leaving, then she'd let him hold her just a little longer.
Faye: Faye put her hands against her face, her eyes closing for a second to block out the sound of all this bickering and confusion, "I just want this to stop. If we stay friends then they're right, we'll be suspicious. We might lose everything anyway."
Chase: "Fuck this," Chase replied angrily, which was really his way of saying they had a point but fuck it sucked.
Lily: She had lost everything she had before - surely she could do it again. There was only a blank stare on her face as she coughed again, hearing her name glanced away. "I guess... I guess this is a goodbye."
Justin/Kayla: "What more can we lose?" Kayla added with a raise of her brows. She already felt like they'd lost everything. Maybe leaving them all wouldn't be so bad.
Faye: "Our freedom. For the rest of our lives. We become lab rats, experiments. Someone else's games. Our knowledge becomes their science. They destroy more than we know, maybe even the world. We know too much."
Samuel: "TJ has a fucking huge ass metal dildo through him, and he would fucking die for all of us if he could. The least we can do is honor his wish that would actually benefit all of us," Sam voiced out.
Millie: "Think of what they'd do to her, Chase. I don't-I don't want to say goodbye either, but they never cared much for us kids. I doubt they'd start now," she chimed in quietly, glancing over at him.
Gabe: "You know what, I dont even care anymore." Gabe commented taking a few steps back away from everyone. "Have great fucking lives."
TJ: He was neither happy nor sad. He was empty. His arguments fell dead on his lips because he couldn't be bothered to fight anymore. "Thanks Sam," he half scoffed, fingers coated in blood, "I'm trying to protect you. This is the last good deed I'll ever do whether I live or not, I'm already dead," why was he laughing? He didn't know. This was all driving him mad.
Justin/Kayla: "Ty," Justin looked at the other boy, his eyes welled up at the sight of him like this. He knew he'd made mistakes, but he couldn't stand the thought of not seeing him again on such a harsh note. "If you think we should." He nodded. Justin just wanted to tell him that he loved him again before it was too late.
Chase: Millie's point is the one that really struck him, causing him to glance over at the baby in Aiden's arms. "Yeah......" he gulped.
TJ: "Justin," a strange smile rested on his lips and cut off his laughter, "I think we should," he nodded but there was barely any movement. "You should probably all get out of here, too. Unless you want to be questioned."
Julian: "Alright." Julian looked around and then gulped, a hand running through his hair, "Good bye I guess," his gaze flickered to the building going up in flames, "See you in another life."
Chase: Chase watched one of his best friends-- the guy who was supposed to have escaped it all, say his goodbyes, and knowing Chase himself was included in that goodbye hurt beyond what words could describe, which is why he couldn't seem to find any.
Faye: "Don't say you don't care, Gabe," Faye said simply, her annoyance falling flat. This was a loss to them all and she didn't need this attitude added on top of it. She didn't look at him again, "So this is it, huh? The end?"
Tyler/Joey: Joey crossed his arms, looking at TJ with sad eyes. "Okay," he said. "Goodbye."
Beatrice: Beatrice took a few steps back. She wanted to say goodbye, but she didn't know how, she simply nodded before beginning to walk away.
Samuel: "I mean, we're not allowed to interact with each other but... you're all gonna continue to support my brand, right?" he laughed through the hurt. "Buy those autographed Samuel Fawkes jerseys and underwear."
Millie: There were too many goodbyes that needed to be said, and TJ's words made it clear that they didn't have very much time. Sam's comment caused her to laugh, although it came out sounding odd. "Of course," she smiled slightly, looking over at Faye and Julian. She'd need to speak with them next.
Justin/Kayla: "Okay." He nodded his head sadly, eyes giving that puppy dog look that they were known to. "Tyson. I love you, you know. I always will."
Chase: "I'll probably have to unblock you on twitter first," Chase forced a laugh. Humor. Deflection. His usual routine in quite unusual circumstances.
Freddie: "TJ," Freddie began softly, staring at him. It felt wrong to leave. Somehow he knew that they had to. He wouldn't say goodbye, he didn't like goodbyes, he would hear it in his words anyway. "Thank you."
Gabe: "I dont faye. Its easier for me to not care so here is me, not caring. Bye guys. I hope this is worth it." Gabe shot back before biting his bottom lip. "I'll miss you guys."
Lily: She wanted to sit there, to stay for a while longer to say goodbye to to life she now knew. And so she did, she sat a few steps away from TJ, hearing her heart thruming in her ears.
Millie: "Don't stop making your films, Gabe. They really are wonderful." He seemed to be taking this hard, and she could understand given his experience. He'd just remembered them and now he needed to forget again.
Tyler/Joey: Tyler chewed on his bottom
TJ: TJ didn't respond to Freddie, there was nothing left to say, instead he turned to Justin, the words reflecting, he offered the ones Freddie had given to him back, "Thank you," he paused, a stiff breath, "For loving me. I know you did. Good bye."
Rose/Jonah: Rose allowed one last look at the boy that had always saved her. They had been a mess in every way but it was the only mess she knew. One she'd never expected to part with. Not in this circumstance, not in any.
Samuel: "Does anyone know what happened to Camille?" He asked, still unable to find the girl.
Gabe: "I dont really have anything to make films about anymore, do I." He replied giving a small smile. "Ive forgotten you all before. I can do it again. Take care of yourselves though, yeah?"
Justin/Kayla: Justin turned to Millie. He might as well get all of his goodbyes over with. "Thanks. You know, for all the snacks and everything even when I was a dick to you. I'm glad we were friends."
Tyler/Joey joined the chat 37 hours ago
Faye: Faye shook her head at Sam, her gaze going between people. She had noticed Bea leave and much like her she didn't want a good bye, she didn't even need a real one. She was accustomed to the silent type where one day someone was just missing from your photographs, "God, I hated this place." But it meant loved, and as she folded her arms over, she wondered if this would be her very last Faye arm cross.
Millie: "You too, love." Justin's voice caused her to turn, and even after the events of the wedding, she found herself hurrying towards hi for a hug. "Please take care of yourself, Justin. Even if it took me a while to see it, there's a lot more to you than sarcastic comments and schoolboy smirks."
Chase: "Same." Chase replied to Faye with a loud sigh. But had he? This school had brought him his friends-- the closest thing to a family he'd ever had. The family he was now losing, all at once.
Gabe: Looking over everyone one last time, Gabe sighed before turning and going to leave, not really wanting to drag this out anymore.
Faye: She turned to walk away but in the last second she turned to face Chase, one last thing that was not a good bye, "You're already a great, Dad. You made the choice that was right. Remember that," and then she turned to walk away.
Samuel: "Can someone help me up?" Sam sighed humorously. He would going back to that condo, living all by himself, oh how he hated it. "I can't really stand."
Tyler/Joey: Tyler rubbed at his ear as he looked at everyone saying goodbye, nodding as he surrender to the thought of saying goodbye completely. Brushing a finger against his nose at the smell of smoke, lost in between everyone. "Suppose there's nothing else to do but say goodbye."
Justin/Kayla: Kayla left without a goodbye to anybody. This wasn't for her. She could handle change, but not the goodbyes. She hadn't been given the opportunity to say her most important one. Daisy.
Rose/Jonah: As he saw Bea's retreating figure, a frown crossed his features. This was best for her. She had so much to offer the world. A world without him in it. Jonah looked towards Sean, knowing that this would apply to them all. A sad smile crossed his features. "Love you Dad," he mumbled, walking past him and away from Whittemore for good.
Lily: She heard Sam's voice, and a pain went through her. She should have helped him but she couldn't find it in herself to do so - it would have made saying goodbye too hard.
Chase: Chase nodded, holding onto her words as he watched her turn to leave. "Hey wait-- wait. Just a second--" he followed after her. "I just-- I really do fucking love you. And please, take care of yourself. I know you will, you always have, but just-- yeah..." the words for Faye getting caught in his throat.
Millie: It felt strange looking around at these people and knowing it would be the last time you spoke with them. Knowing you only had a few minutes to do so was even worse. Her gaze landed on Tyler, and she thought back to the house that had gone up in flames. "Tyler," she smiled, voice soft. "I hope that you get back to your music. Thank you for today, you were-you were really lovely. I'm sorry you got dragged into this mess, but I'm glad I met you."
Justin/Kayla: Justin turned on his heel to leave Whittemore. It hurt too much to say goodbye to everyone. He couldn't handle it. But that was what made him. Justin couldn't handle the tough things.
Samuel: Sam just lied down on the grass for a few more moments as he recalled memories of Trevor, Charles, Daisy, and his parents. "I'm here," he whispered to himself. "I'm here. I'm still here." A smile slowly tugged at his lips as he stared at the sky, hoping that those they lost were in a better place now.
Tyler/Joey: Tyler gave Millie a small smile, nodding his head. "It was an incredible experience, even between all the pain and weird things. Thank you," he replied with a light wave of his hand.
Rose/Jonah: Goodbyes were never easy. Rose never said goodbye, to her it was simply an "i'll see you soon." The promise of never talking to any of them again was too much for her to handle, and as she watched Millie hold the little girl in her arms, it was clear why TJ had to do this. They deserved lives outside of these walls. Rose wouldn't say goodbye. She couldn't allow this to be the lasting memory of herself. She loved them all more than they could ever know. Where would she be without them?
Clara: Clara stood, finally, with shaky legs, taking in the scene around her. She felt like she should apologize to TJ. She felt like she should thank him, tell him goodbye. She couldn't. Her eyes searched for Kyle but she didn't see him, that was probably for the best. She didn't know where she was going, tears dried to her face, expression blank as she started walking slowly away.
Millie: Returning to where Aiden was waiting with the little girl who would never get the chance to really know him, to know any of them, she tried to brace herself for a goodbye she really couldn't imagine. "Looks like you two had a nice time," she laughed, although she was crying and wasn't trying to hide it anymore. "I'm-I'm not going to say goodbye because I really have no idea how. So, I'm-I'm going to post twenty photos a day online, just for you, and we'll be the only ones who know it. And if-if you could do the same every-every once and a while, I would-I would really appreciate it." With that, she carefully took the little girl from his arms, leaning in for a side hug and leaning up to kiss his cheek like she'd always done. "I love you, Aiden. We both do, don't we, little one?"
Aiden: "Yeah, we were bonding," Aiden looked up with a small smile, holding the baby carefully as he moved to stand on his feet. His throat was tight as he heard her goodbye, or not-goodbye. "At least you said something. Faye just ignored me." His laugh was forced, joking was the only way he knew how to cope even now. He almost didn't want to hand the baby over but he did, returning her side hug with ease. "Well, that shouldn't be too hard." He winked at her, making a mental note to check all of her social media for pictures to watch his apparent goddaughter growing up. He would try not to be sad that he couldn't see her other than from the screen of his phone. "You take care, Millie. I love you - both - too."
Aiden: From where Sam laid on the grass, Aiden approached, holding back a sigh. He had only talked to him once since the time machine ordeal. At that moment it didn't matter, if he didn't help him no one else would and there was a pat of him that actually wanted to, his gaze drifting briefly to Millie and the baby. He stood over him offering his hand, an odd sad smile on his face. "Still need some help?"
Aiden: part*
Lily: Her eyes searched the grounds for those who stayed and those who had taken their leave already, making mental notes in her head of things she wanted to remember after this.
Millie: Aiden had confirmed what she had thought, Faye had left already. They had had their goodbye that day when they'd decided it needed to be the end, and not it seemed as if it really was. Julian was gone, too, but that was a goodbye she wasn't even sure needed said. It was only then that she noticed the blonde girl, the one she'd been so terrified they would lose only minutes before, and she shifted the baby in her arms before starting after her. "Clara!"
Clara: Clara froze when she heard her name, Millie's voice registering seconds later. She turned, unsure what to say, unsure what she even felt, her breath catching in her throat as her eyes fell to the baby in her arms. Maybe Millie could be happy. If nothing else, maybe one good thing had came from this all.
Samuel: Sam sat back up, his gaze falling upon Aiden. "Look at you sweeping me off my feet for the second time," he joked, letting out a soft laughter. He took Aiden's hand and stood up from the ground thanks to the blond's help. He smiled as he thought that this was how things would end and he would never have to come back there ever again. "It's really over, huh?"
Aiden: Aiden laughed. He actually laughed, it was kind of funny when he thought about it, no longer such a wound. "Maybe if you could take care of yourself for once, I wouldn't have to," he shot back, clearly only joking. It was an odd situation, but not entirely awkward. "Sounds like it, yeah. I guess this is really goodbye."
TJ: TJ looked over at Lily, he had been quiet for a long time due to having nothing to say but he knew he would always consider her as an outsider to this mess even with all things considered, "Guess I helped," he croaked in a low laugh.
Millie: "I'm so glad you're okay," she smiled, even though she knew that the girl couldn't truly be okay. She was alive, however, and that was enough. For now, that would be enough. Ever since the first fire, she had felt a strange connection with the girl, and the thought of never seeing her again was scary. She wanted to make sure that she would be okay, and yet she couldn't do that as herself. "There's a really lovely inn in Cape Cornwall. I know a writer who likes to go there, she says that it helps her think. It's right on the ocean, and it's so, so beautiful. I think you'd like it there. Ask for Beverly, she'll take really good care of you." It was the only thing that came to mind, and she hoped that maybe one day it would help the girl. "Life gives, just as it takes. I think it's far past time it gives you the best." Rocking the little girl slightly as she began to stir, she looked at the blonde with a soft smile. "Take care of yourself, Clara."
Samuel: "Kiss me goodbye?" Sam teased, but he wouldn't mind kissing Aiden again. They lived their other life being happy together and Sam still stood by his words that Aiden would always have a place in his heart even if he respected that the Aiden he married wasn't really the Aiden standing by him now. "Gah, now I have to find another hacker to save my ass. Such a hassle."
Lily: She moved to sit beside him, "You've done a great thing," her voice failed her for a moment, "You can turn in your crown now, TJ King. The kingdom has crumbled."
Clara: Clara nodded. Okay seemed to be a stretch, but maybe she would be. This time she had to be. "I'll remember that," she promised and she would, it was the only thing she had to hang onto. She felt tears fill her eyes again as she thought of never seeing Millie again. It was strange, how much they had been through together. Tj too, who she looked over at with a choked sob before glancing back to Millie. "Thank you. I will. And," she paused, "You're going to be a wonderful mum, Millie. Really."
TJ: The thought made him laugh and he leaned his head back slightly, a soft laugh leaving his lips, the last one he thought he had in him, "You know, I don't think there ever was a crown."
Lily: Hearing his laugh she finally brought her gaze to meet his, though she was sure it would break her. "Yeah, just a guy with a crazy hero complex."
Millie: She smiled at the other girl, looking down at the little girl for a moment before looking back up. "Thank you, Clara," and with that she turned, because the last goodbye would be the hardest, and she knew the sirens would be interrupting them at any moment.
Aiden: "In your dreams," Aiden shook his head, though the thought actually crossed his mind. "How about this," he began, only half joking, "I'll take down any hate articles. That's my promise to you. I'll replace them with memes."
TJ: He looked at Lily, gaze levelling, words quiet, sad, happy, all of them, a confirmation it was over, "Yeah, maybe he was."
Chase: Chase wanted to stand off to the side, like a child not getting their way, arms crossed and refusing to acknowledge the situation, but it was happening, and it was what was best for everyone, but most importantly the baby. That didn't make what was coming hurt any less.
Lily: "He's gone now." She stated simply, "It's okay, sometimes people have to go away and then they come back even better than before. Shame I'll never meet the new guy."
Clara: Clara watched as Millie walked away, she glanced at Sam and then she turned, and for the last time, she left.
TJ: "You wouldn't want to," he glanced over, the edge of a grin, "He's an asshole who overcompensates for his lack of functioning body parts. Probably."
Lily: Everything in her brain screamed at her to stop, "Ah, well you got me there. I'd probably hate his guts and he'd probably hate mine."
Samuel: He smiled wholeheartedly as he studied Aiden's face, adding it to the collage in his mind of people he grew to love unconditionally. Hazel, Tommy, Tyson, Camille, Aiden. Sam would never forget them. "I'd appreciate that, thank you."
Millie: There were still people that she wanted to say goodbye to, but the minutes were ticking away and the paramedics were set to be there at any moment. Seeing Chase, she shifted the baby in her arms before approaching him rather slowly. "I was thinking we could go by the week. When she's older, at least. When she's this little I doubt we'll want to go more than two or three days without seeing her. That won't be-it won't be that bad, will it?"
Chase: "No," Chase paused, trying to clear his throat and keep it together like he needed to. "No I think that's good-- that's what's best. I think."
Aiden: "Not a problem." Aiden stared at Sam for a moment, trying to decide what he would regret more and then, before he could talk himself out of it, pressed his lips to his. One last time.
Millie: "I'm sorry that it has to be like this. I wish that we could just-move in together and live in a big house and laugh when everyone asks if we're married, but we'll figure this out. Olivia isn't going to have to worry about a lack of love in the slightest. She'll know we love each other, even if it's not like that." She smiled up at the boy, eyes watery. "Would you like to hold her? On our way back?"
Samuel: Sam kissed Aiden back softly -- it wasn't passionate, it wasn't deep, it was just natural. Two people who loved each other in a different world saying goodbye as they enter a new one. Sam didn't stop until he couldn't help but to smile mid-kiss, letting out a happy sigh. "Woah there, kissing on the first date? I'm too much of a prude for this," he laughed. "Shall we go before we rip each other's clothes off here?"
Chase: "God, I just-- I want what's best for her," Chase almost laughed. "And I had this picture-- this mental picture-- and there was Julian, and Faye, and everyone just--" He shook his head. "But you're right. It's not what I had planned-- but hey, neither was she. We'll figure it out. She'll be okay." He wasn't so sure about himself, but that didn't matter. When he finally met Millie's gaze he realized her eyes were watering, just like his. "Could I?"
Millie: "That's how I pictured it too. Then again, I always pictured the couples would be a bit, well, different. This is what we got, though, and it's a mess right now, but it's amazing. She's amazing," she laughed, nodding and smiling down at the little girl. "Of course you can. Come on, little one, I've been hogging you from daddy already."

And just like that another chapter ended and good bye’s were spoken in only hushed tones as handcuffs shattered from shaking wrists. They had not known they were trapped until they were free and even then they had not been sure whether their cage was the school or their hearts. They watched their school, perhaps even, a school that had bot been theirs go up in flames and nobody argued. Instead they memorised the details of a very old building. Each corner, each secret, each loss. They told one another, promised, they would forget. They had became very good at lying, a side effect of their problematic world, and so when they spoke the words “Good bye,” they almost believed them themselves. They would never again be haunted by white slips, never again be tainted by familial blood and most of all, they would never return. Not even for a dare.
