"Maray na aldaw sa indong gabos" (Daragang Magayon)

Spending a vacation in different places with your family is so much fun. How about spending a vacation in Legaspi Albay, In the Bicol Region and staring at the beautiful "Perfect Cone" shape of Mount Mayon with your relatives? It is it exciting? Or fun? May be I can say yes it is it. Why? let me tell the story of our vacation.

First of all, Mayon Volcano or also known as Mount Mayon is a "Perfect Cone" shape. Why? because of its symmetric conical shape. It is an active strato volcano in the province of Albay. It's surrounding landscape was declared a national park on July 20, 1938 , the first in the nation. It was reclassified a Natural Park and renamed "Mayon Volcano Natural Park" in the year 2000. Local folklore refers to the volcano being named after the legendary princess-heroine Daragang Magayon.

After vacationing in Isabela, we went to Albay for another vacation and it consist of more excitement for me, because this was the first time that I will be see the actual look of Mayon Volano. Then when we were in the Albay I did not expect that where ever I look in the left (just only left) I can see the perfect cone shape volcano of Bicol Region. My tita mommy said that "When we want to see the Mayon Volcano nearest" we need to go in the place where the Cagsawa church is in, because that is the place where the vacationers go.

So before we go to the said place where we can see the nearest sighting of Mayon Volcano. We need to find first a hotel beach resort where we can stay for the 3 days of being there. When we are looking for hotels 6:00 o'clock in the morning, you can see the foot side of Mayon Volcano. Why? it is only foot side? They said that it is to early morning thus the Mayon hiding in fug. After we find the hotel we can stay in, we cook some foods, watching TV, picture taking in the resort, and even sleep, we did it also because we're waiting for the time that "Magayon" was show in her full image. And at the 4:00 o'clock in the evening, we start are way to the Cagsawa church.

When we are in the Cagsawa place, I'm so very speech less, why? because for the first time I did see the actual appearance of Cagsawa Church and the "perfect cone" shape of Mayon Volcano. From what I see, I can say "ohh amazing place I don't want to leave." So, on that time i can't stop taking a picture everywhere i go and I can't stop staring in the Mayon Volcano. It's been more beautiful in actual look than the picture. Previously, when I am going to look at the picture of Mayon Volcano I always ask "Can I go here?" , But now I am and staring the actual appearance of Mayon Volcano.

Even it is not my best thing I ever experience I can say that "Staring the actual appearance of Mayon Volcano" is one of my best experience. And that's the story of my Albay experience.

ON THE RISE (D’ TOTAL PERFORMER)

Hi! I'm back again, for complain with the requirement of our English teacher Mr. Toribio Cruz, about the question: "Choose a person, who you think has shown great achievement in field they have chosen." I think some of you knows who is "D Total Performer”, I am talking about. (Yes he is!). First I want you to meet him, Darren Lyndon Gonzales Espanto. Yes! For me he is the person that show great achievement in field, let me introduce him to you. Darren Lyndon Gonzales Espanto is a young Filipino-Canadian singer from Canada who came back "here" to the Philippines to chase his dreams, a dream he never thought would come true.

Reaching his dreams wasn't a walk in the park for his chinito-looking belter and his family. He had been through a couple of competitions which brought him to where he is right now. He joined the pinoy singing sensation season 3 in Edmonton on August 2011 and emerged as the grand champion. The songs such as To Love You More, A Moment like This, Ikaw Ang Pangarap, One Moment in Time, and Listen made him seize the title.

He is also among the top 6 finalist of YTV'S The Next Star Season 5 in 2012. He blew away the judges with his rendition of Bruno Mar's "Grenade" during the audition and earned him a "Golden Ticket". He made his way to the competition with his own versions of the songs Only Girl in the World, Give your Heart a Break, Payphone, Domino, and Give a Little Extra. Despite not winning the crown, Darren was offered by Corus Entertainment in partnership with Sony Music to record his first cover, single Shake Your Body by Jackson 5.

He was also given a break in television as a guest star in YTV's series "Life With Boys" in their 2nd season, 16th episode. Directed by Steven Wright, it was aired on August 13, 2013 entitled "So you Think Your Family Cam Dance with boys."

Darren strength of character brought him to ABS-CBN "The Voice Kids Philippines" audition. He captured the discerning ears of Coaches Sarah Geronimo ang Bamboo Manalac. The smart and first rate performance of Jessie J's "Domino" easily caught the audience attention. His audition was a trending topic and it is YouTube video reached a million views in no time. With that one song his fan base was created the DARRENatics (the fandom which I belong).

He was undoubtedly "Phenomenal" as what coach Lea Salonga commented in one of the episodes. His powerful vocal range was revealed when he gave justice to the songs What Makes You Beautiful, Listen, One Moment in Time, Ngayon , Somebody to love, and You Are My Song. Darren was proclaimed as a runner-up after the text and online votes were tallied.

 After all, in August 2014, Darren Espanto became part of ABS-CBN's Star Magic. Darren released his first full-length self-titled studio album, Darren, in December 2014. It debuted at number 1 on the Philippine charts of Apple's iTunes Store and Astro Charts; it is now a certified Platinum album.

After his announcement on January 13, 2015 , Darren performed in Trina Belamide's "Tell The World of his Love" ( the theme for world youth day 1995) during Pope Francis's visit to the Philippines during the encounter with the Youth event on January 13 at the University of Santo Tomas.

On May 29, Darren performed at the Mall of Asia Arena for his birthday concert, making him the youngest performer to stage on the said venue.

On November 18, 2015, Darren Espanto and Jk Labajo performed at the Malacañang Palace with the piece of Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud. It was during the state dinner hosted by former President Benigno Aquino III. In this May 2016, He released his sophomore album titled "BE WITH ME," featuring the carrier single "7 Minutes".

Darren Espanto won a lot of award from Asap Pop Viewer's Choice Award, Star Cinema Awards, Myx Music Award (2015), 46th GMMS Box-Office Entertainment Award, Pep List (2015), 5th Eduk Circle Awards , 17th PMPC Star Awards for Music, 28th Awit Awards , Rawr Awards, Gold Record Award , Platinum Record Award, Wish 107.5 Music Awards (2016) , Myx Music Awards (2016), 47th GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards, MOR PINOY Music Awards (2016) , and Pep List Year 3 and take a lot of concerts titled, The Total Performance Concert, Home coming concert , The Total Performance Concert 2, The Canada Concert Tour, The Total Performance Concert 3 , The D' Birthday Concert, Canada Concert Tour, and D' Road Tour in different countries like Singapore, Canada, USA, and more. He still counting for more concerts to take and to do.

I ‘am so proud to be a fan of Darren Espanto. He is one of my inspirations to study well and catch my dreams also. For him I want to say thank you for always keep us (DARRENatics) smile and laugh and thank you because you are the one that makes to inspire a lot of people to be positive in life that they can catch their dreams as well. Like what Darren's said "Always stay humble in the sight of the lord and he will lift you up" -Darren Then that is the reason why I choose him to be my model person for this blog. THE JOURNEY OF MY FIRST                             QUARTER

                   First I’m glad to say that I’m back again to comply the requirement given by my teacher Mr. Toribio Cruz . It is a first blog entry for the English 9 second quarter of this school year 2016- 2017 There are so many things happen in the past two months or in the pass quarter, these are a lot of things I’ve learned and for me the lesson I learned from the previous quarter that I consider the most important is the topic about punctuation marks. Because for me punctuation marks is the most important thing when we wrote some paragraphs , sentences , essays, or even a script or a dialog. Because it is the thing that gives color to the sentence like if you want to expressed you’re feeling (angry, lonely, glad, joy, fear, sadness, disgusting) and many things. For example if you are angry and you want to write you’re dialog, you need to put an exclamation point into your script. “Punctuation marks are symbols that are used it aid the clarity and comprehensive of written language,” some of does punctuation marks are the period, comma, question mark, exclamation point, apostrophe, and even dash and hyphen. You can use question mark when you want to ask something and wrote it. The period punctuation mark is the common used mark any time. We can see period in the end of the lines, sentence, paragraph or etc.

                    When we take the first two weeks of the first quarter , I have said “o my gosh it’s very crazy” Because we are so stressed in what are we doing, doing group activities and pass or performed it earlier in the morning. But in the sake we achieve our goal to have a higher point for our performance. For me, I have my own kind of challenges that was I encountered toward achieving my goals. One of that is, when we have an activities in all subject and it is rush to do because of the time it’s already late to do and to pass along with individual task to do. It challenge us to make a time manage management always to make your task med done and clear in the exact time. But for now I see that was nicely are goals to pass the first quarter period.

                     For the whole first quarter, I have learned so many things that I didn’t know since elementary it could help me to improve my knowledge not only for English subject but for all subject that we have. I want those lesson be useful and meaningful by always remembering all rules that i have learned in each topic, until I could improve my knowledge in everything. And I use this knowledge also to catch new things that I discover and explore in the flow of being grade 9 students. To continue the improvement of my knowledge for everything. Because, I know that this lessons are the key for my expectant that I could be closer to the things that i have learned a known. I’m believe in Albert Einstein says that “education is not the learning of facts but the training of mind to think” and that’s all of my answer in the first blog entry of mine for the second quarter.
