Can we talk about how all three of these covers have one thing about them that don't match the other two?

Can we talk about how beautiful they all are, but the one thing in each of them irks me, each time I look at the covers?

Can we talk about how even though the one thing on each cover irks me, I fall in love with how beautiful the covers are even more each time I look at them?

Let me explain.

DISCLAIMER

I AM NOT COMPLAINING!! These are just little minor "The Covers Don't Match" things that I've noticed that's all. THIS POST IS ALL IN GOOD FUN!!

I do not need comments about how I need to lighten up. Or how minor they are and to ignore them.

House of Earth and Blood

Look how beautiful!! So different from the Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses covers. Why didn't the series title stay large under the moon, and the book title stay smaller between the moon points, though like this one?

House of Sky and Breath

Again, beautiful! And aside from the titles in different places, it's not a drastic change! But Hunt is on the cover this time, whereas the other two covers have the same girl.

House of Flame and Shadow

It's probably my favourite cover. Same girl as book one, same title placing for series AND book title as book two, but where as the other two books were visually light, this one is dark.

Then, finally, when we revisit Lunathian, it would most likely be called House of Many Waters. The one minor cover difference for this one would be the title, in the lack of the word AND.

Indigo Bonus Chapter Thoughts

My take on Rhysand, Nesta, and Ember.

Seeing this comment on TikTok has me... idk, I'm pissed. Let me explain.

Yes, the Trove answers to Nesta, so TECHNICALLY it was Nestas's decision what to do with the Mask.

Yes. Rhysand has every right to be pissed at Nesta for handing over the Mask to Bryce. Because their world is being put at risk.

But one thing that is pissing me off here is people going Anti-Ember for how Ember reacted, defending Mesta against Rhysand.

If you think Ember had no right to ... how did Nesta put it? Hand Rhysand his ass like she did? Just go back to your ACOTAR, and keep away from Crescent City. Maybe try that.

Again, Rhysand had every right to be angry at Nesta, I'm not saying he didn't. But the tiktok comment above? Calling Ember insensitive, just like Bryce?

Why? Because they believe Midgaurd deserves a chance to fight for their freedom against the Asteri?

Here's Ember, in a world she doesn't know, and one of the first conversations she hears after eating the magic bean is Rhysand going on about how Nesta shouldn't have thought twice, but to have killed Bryce.

Rhysand says this, IN EARSHOT OF EMBER. Not caring about Midguard. Leave Midguard to rot, and kill the woman(who can definitely hear me right now)'s daughter on sight.

Again, AGAIN, Rhysand is within his right to be pissed at Nesta.

But to act like Ember should have just rolled over and agreed because why? Midguard isn't the ACOTAR world? Thus, Midguard doesn't deserve the same right to fight as the ACOTAR world? That's what it's coming across as to people saying shit like the tiktok comment above.

Rhys has every right to be angry.

But don't fucking tell me Ember was wrong for defending Nesta when she saw Nesta was the only one there giving Midguard a chance at survival and freedom.

They both were within their rights.

You can't be mad at Ember without being mad at Rhysand.

You can't be mad at Rhysand without being mad at Ember.

THEY BOTH WANT THEIR WORLDS SAFE FROM ASTERI CONTROL!! And BOTH are rightfully angry about the whole situation, and they made that anger clearly known.

Ember just was sticking up for Nesta for giving Midguard that chance.

Fuck people piss me off.

Azriel has a connection to Enalius.

Azriel lost Truth Teller when Bryce stole it to bring it to Midguard with her.

Now, I am not saying they're wrong, but if someone can calmly explain the evidence that points to the next book being Elains? Because from the looks of it? It's definitely going to be Azriels

I saw a post on here saying now there's two Fire Breathing Bitch Queen's, and I haven't agreed to anything more in my life. (Post I saw was by @waywardbella can be found HERE) Though I love Lidia, no one owns this title more than the Aelin Ashryver Galathynius

Is it just me, or did anyone else feel like when Lidia went all Fire Badass in the final battle? That it was what was planned for Aelin in the final battle. We would have seen it then, but this was Sarah showing us what we didn't get to.

But Aelin had her own plans, and used up her built up magic when she did, because that was what needed to be done at the time, the only thing to save people, so she made the choice.

Because if I am remembering right, and correct me if I'm wrong, Aelin stood above and let her fire go, too protect Elide as she rode on a horse through Ilkin(? or was it Valg?) to go save Lorcan, bring him back to where everyone else was.

This feels like an Aelin decision that would have surprised Sarah. She did just mention on the Today Show that her characters will do that type of thing, and thinking way back, Sarah replied on Facebook to a comment saying Lucien and Elain being mates was something she didn't even see coming.

So Aelin doing this would mean she did not have that power, that much fire left for the final battle of the book.

So, after taking the antidote to the parasite and turning Pollox and those two guards to ash, Lidia walks out into the field. She then burns and melts many enemies, and bombs, and just, so many things, just as she's walking past them.

Does anyone else think this was, yes part of Lidias character as written, but also a tiny nodd, a small wink if you will, by Sarah, showing us that this is what Aelin would have been like if she didn't use up her fire before she reached her own final battle?

And Ruhn and Lidia are pretty powerful themselves also.

This is a normal thing that happens in books, right?
