Happy First Day of Spring! And happy (alternate) birthday to our favorite local god, Lucas!

To celebrate, please enjoy the first chapter of my long form fic, Who Remembers a God.

I’m incredibly excited to begin sharing this fic. Even though I’m not completely done with Act 1, I foresee it only taking me another month or so, and the last chapter of my buffer will run out in October. I have no idea how long Act II will take me, but I’ll keep y’all posted on my progress.

Last week I got covid, which surprised me tbh. I thought it was just a cold until I was like, I’m gonna take a test just in case. Then it was positive. So, I got 5 days off work, which was super great bc I got so much writing done. I started at like 18k, and now I’m sitting at 25k. I’m not writing at the same pace now that I’m back at work, but whatever. I’m happy to be writing period again.

Re: the fic itself — it’s for Rune Factory 5, the primary POV is in Lucas’ perspective, and I’ve made the player character into a nonbinary person named Ari (from Arisu/Aresu, their Japanese names). I’m having fun exploring all of Lucas’ life and filling in his backstory. I don’t know what the total word count’s going to be, but I’m guessing 80k minimum. Nothing’s going to be publicly updated until the first draft is complete. (Well, I might treat myself to some wip snippets, but we’ll see).
