He was raised in Silversands and later moved to Kuilsriver where he then grew up and lived out his teenage years. MRB began to DJ at the age of 12 in primary school, he then commercially started putting out mixtapes across social platforms to gain exposure, he also started DJing on radio shows presented by the likes of Carl Wastie, Mixi, Tyrone Paulson, and DJ Loyd. MRB’s aim at the time was to make use of the base he had which was high school, to build a support system. In 2013 MRB began to practice the craft of music production as he was introduced to FL Studio by a school friend. Multiple music production tutorials later and tips from producers in and out of Cape Town. RELEASE DATE: 03 AUGUST 2020 Darkmello Recordings & MRB is thrilled to announce the release of Robyn Ex’s debut single titled “Believe”. It’s available across all platforms from the 3rd of August 2020. Believe is a song written by Robyn Ex & produced by MRB. The two extremely talented individuals bring forth this beautiful collaboration which is based on Robyn's perspective & belief about Love, it was inspired by a loved one who Robyn cares very much about, MRB & Robyn both trust that listeners will feel this song on the same level that they have when putting this work of art together. Robyn Ex is a singer, songwriter & musician based in Cape Town, currently age 20 & is ready to take on the music industry with full force. According to MRB, the two individuals haven’t met yet, despite them staying in one city & also not too far from one another, he also mentioned that this is just one song, out of a few they have coming up. Robyn Ex started writing music at the age of 16 as she started being able to get her feelings onto paper & from the paper into precious melodies. Robyn’s entire family is musically inclined & she believes her musical abilities comes from within the family genes. Rockstar Girl From The Ghetto first released today on all music streaming and download stores. The EP is about a rebellious girl from the hood who expresses herself through music. Her rebelliousness was fighting against the odds. In her E.P she also speaks about her mental state, being bullied and fighting the need to be loved. Mia explains that she has always seen herself becoming her greatest version even through her hardships and break downs and that's what her latest single "Icon" is all about.
