Perverts is officially out. Thank you so much to Matthew Tomasi for his drums on Vacillator (and the boom on Amber Waves), Angel Diaz for the lapsteel and baritone guitar on Punish that makes my world go round, the upright bass on Onanist, and that lapsteel and e-piano also on Amber Waves, Madeline Johnston for her heavenly metal on Amber Waves (a track she served as an intense inspiration for), and Bryan De Leon for his acoustic stylings on Etienne. Y’all make my world go round.
I’d also like to think the natural drone music that exists everywhere in this world, in transformer boxes and powerlines on the side of the highway, in the radio static of an empty AM frequency, in the fan of my computer as my Ableton project files overloaded the CPU, and in the distant roar of the interstate on the other side of my favorite field. I love you, sound, you have always been there for me.
Thank you for listening, I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I lo

how did you decide how long you wanted the songs to go on?? (such as the strings in pulldrone) i love the length but i’m curious how you decided how long you wanted it to be.
for pulldrone in particular, i just hit record, closed my eyes, and then played my hurdy gurdy until i felt the need to stop. perverts was a sandbox to really do whatever i wanted so i just did whatever felt good.

When you came back, you were different. As if you were unable to return with your body. Was it a question? Would it only let go of one? "He's not there" became my answer to everything. He's not there. There's nothing there. There's nothing there. I'd say it so much, it seemed more practical to carve it into my forehead. fufck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck there's nothing there

Another thing about the tv show is how mature everything is. I don't know if it's because I'm used to watch boys love with college background but this time the atmosphere is totally different. I'm mean, seeing adult people living their life and struggling with problems is just something that hits different. Of course, there is an amazing work with the direction and actors too.

Thoughts about the 2nd an 3rd episode from "love in the big city" (with spoilers maybe)
I liked how the 2nd episode focused on the friendship between miae and young, but honestly, I think It was a little bit too fast. I feel that I'm trapped in how things work in the novel, so sometimes, while watching i feel like I'm losing something. I cried a bit with the marriage and the scene where young reflect about the possibility of him finding love i think there is a lot of thing to talk about homossexuality and affection.
About the 3rd, it was an introductory episode, but i had a lot of fun with it. The relationship between young and his mother was one of the most remarkable thing in the novel to me, so I'm really curious to see how they are going to work on this. It was already possible to see how she tried to manipulate young by using the cancer card. About yeong su, it was fun to see the character became real, i had a different image from him, and now he seems someone more lovely. That final scene of them dancing it was stunning

I enjoyed the first episode a lot . I think it worked well as a pilot episode. It's obvious the investment in the tv show (I liked a lot how they shot in the close places). I also enjoyed how it's already possible to know about Young and the way that he works on relationships. Another thing is how they changed some things from the novel, like introducing the gay group of friends from Young in the beginning. I think it's nice for him to have this emotional support. Anyway, I'm really excited for the next ones, I'll probably be talking about 2 episodes per time

Even that I do not use this account a lot I decided to post here about my opinion while watching the episodes from "love in the big city". i'll be taking from my account on Twitter (x) and translating them to English (feel free to follow me there @cosmicfrogs) and the reason why I'm doing this is 'cause I think this tv show is really changing the korean boys love industry so I think it's important to reach others people
