Personality:

Gwendolyn Lycoris is a jovial and cheery young woman, though she's shy and kind of quiet, she can be quite talkative to people she knows. She has a soft spot for kids. Despite her lively nature, she takes her job very seriously, and won't hesitate if it means pleasing her higher-ups (namely Cybele who she works for directly.)

She's extremely loyal to Cybele, and has been for over 10 years since meeting her as her college professor. Gwendolyn often agrees with her points (no matter how ridiculous) and fights for her, but had felt a growing annoyance in her at being treated like a therapist, not to mention being terrified of her husband, Ghetsis due to his nature.

Gwendolyn had always felt guilty in her life, be it minor grievances or full-blown fights, she had a habit of putting herself to blame, and thus, feels the need to please everybody, especially if they do good to her. She has believed that everyone has at least some good in them.

Backstory:

She originally came from Galar, but left due to college and personal issues with her father after her mom died (she always had a complicated relationship with her parents, with her parents leaving her alone for days until she was around 16, but her mother's death left the family unrepairable.)

She used to have a Gallade named Wyatt but released it after being convinced to join Team Plasma by Cybele, who was her professor at the time, as well as paid Gwendolyn's debt which she was drowning in because she came from a low-income household.

Gwendolyn had a deep seated feeling of regret and shame, with both keeping Wyatt while in an abusive household and her mother's death who she believed was her cause, so she chased after Cybele's affection to satiate the need to feel useful and wanting to repay the kindness she gave.

Gwendolyn had also met the shadow triad around this time, and had fallen in love with one of them. The both of them agreed to keep their relationship hidden.

Even after Team Plasma's fall, Gwendolyn stuck around with Cybele, because she had always felt that people had some good in them, and didn't want to believe that Cybele was just using her after all those years. She was also afraid of losing everything since she was in her mid 20s, and she (alongside everyone else in her life) was convinced that your life was set by then.

Team:

Matilda (Galarian Weezing) ♀: Matilda was the second pokemon she had ever caught, right after her gallade. Matilda is a bit slow and gets easily heated when made fun of, but listens to commands easily. Matilda was kept due to Cybele's interest in regional variants, alongside being way more mellow compared to Wyatt.

Miles (Seviper) ♂: Miles was the first ever pokemon she caught in Unova, Miles is mischeavous and loves poking fun at her other pokemon, which can cause chaos when with Matilda.

Louis (Foongus) ♂: Despite Gwendolyn's efforts, Louis seems to never evolve (later she'd found out that Louis had an everstone stuck under his cap). He'd often laze about in her hoodie (BW) or her pocket (BW2) not really do much, which frustrates Eloise to no end because she feels like he's "dead weight." He'd later evolve post-BW2.

Eloise (Venipede) ♀: The newly caught, Eloise is bossy and persistent, which sometimes causes her some trouble, despite this, Gwendolyn is very willing to spoil Eloise. She'd evolve her later on throughout the events of BW2.

Abandoned:

Wyatt (Gallade) ♂: Gwendolyn's first pokemon, and partner of many years, he is loyal and protective as most of his kind are. Gallade was found nearby some dumpsters as a ralts and taken in by Gwendolyn when she was 5. The two were very close with each other, but complications arose when Cybele tried to convince Gwendolyn to join Team Plasma, not wanting to separate from his trainer. Later, he'd be released, which caused him to have a deep rooted hatred for Team Plasma and set off on a journey to defeat Cybele and her pokemon.

Trivia:

She's good friends with Aldith (no one knows how these two get along so well.)

Her style icon is Ramona flowers.

She evolved Wyatt into a gallade by accident.

She likes horror films/books, especially ones from the 80s.

She hangs out with Colress sometimes, and he'd yap about his projects and she yaps about her favorite movies. (Colress gets psychic damage every time she describes about a movie he watched as a teen as "vintage".)
