I haven’t been inspired to draw in forever but by happy accident, fell into the pithole that is @leupagus‘ marvelous fic to the sky without wings. This fic has ruined me in the best way. I cannot recommend it enough.

tips for writing Star Wars fanfic/Star Wars roleplay things

it’s not concrete; it’s duracrete

viewports are the windows on ships

not a plane; ship or speeder

it’s not steel; it’s durasteel

books are rare; holorecords or datapads

it’s not a glass pane it’s transparisteel

caf is the equivalent of coffee

it’s not paper it’s a flimsi

medcenter is a hospital

Star Wars can be very similar to things we’re already used to, but getting familiar with some of these terms can make your writing really fit in with the universe

The following facts I now hold to be true and absolutely 100% canonical as a direct result of leupagus and her frankly astonishing fic “to the sky without wings” (don’t read it, it will probably ruin your life) (BUT LIKE GO READ IT and join us in the Special Hell of beards and sadness):

Fact 1:  Poe Dameron had a debilitating crush on Commander Skywalker when he was growing up. He didn’t grow out of it.

Fact 2: The Jacket was priginally given to 18-year-old Poe by Luke Skywalker as consolation following yet another disastrous seduction attempt.

Fact 3: Poe somehow got Luke to agree that if he ever got to the rank of General, he could finally score a date.

Fact 4: Luke Skywalker will henceforth be known as Trash Fire Jesus.

If you want me I’ll just be sitting in the corner shipping these two galactic disasters to hell and back.
