“I think that’s normal at your age. I, for one, remember when I was a little younger than you, I had started blaming my guardians for everything despite knowing they were doing what was in my best interests.” Though maybe there was a large difference between the repeated medical tests and labworks that had to be done to keep track of the core’s energy versus living like a Spartan, but the sentiment was probably the same.
“Oh? I think you’re already doing a lot then. Any more and he might begin to worry about you more than he already does.” No real need to entertain the possibility of ‘probably’ there, Welt was a father himself. He knew the looks well enough, but Yanqing probably wasn’t looking for that. “Just doing your best and showing you care can mean a lot more than you think.” Definitely not the answer the boy was looking for, but it gave Welt an idea...
“Why don’t the two of you find a day that can be set aside to come visit here? It can be a small vacation, plus we have a nice chess set in the party car.”
cont. from here with @dasniichts
Yanqing sighs. "I know. We talked a little. I..." The teen hesitates, not sure how much he should tell Mr Yang, though he seems like a... fatherly man. In many ways, he reminds him of Jing Yuan, which is probably why he finds him easy to talk with. "I had a bit of an... outburst. It was embarrassing, but we both found out things we had kept to ourselves that shouldn't have been left untold." There's still a lot Yanqing doesn't know, but at least he now knows it had nothing to do with not trusting him. "And that I shouldn't bottle up my emotions, but I need to keep face." Jing Yuan had said that wasn't as important as his retainer's wellbeing, but Yanqing disagrees. If he lose face, that will transfer to the General and he cannot have that. The teen sighs again. "Sometimes I wish things were simpler, like when I was little." His words makes it sound like he's well into adulthood and not, in fact, fourteen.
"I try to help him in any way I can. Shoulder the burdens that doesn't require the General personally." Making tea and bringing food or snacks was two of those things. He sometimes try to help him with some paperwork, but despite how much Yanqing knows he hates it, he always keep saying that paperwork is too boring for someone so young. "I will try to think of more small actions to do." Since anything more significant is usually intervened by Jing Yuan himself. Yanqing hasn't yet figured out that is the General trying to keep him from shouldering too much, knowing just how eager his young apprentice is to please and prove himself. If he gave him a straight out no, Yanqing would just become more stubborn and persistent.

“One of the older bars are this way—or at least I think it’s older.” If there was a way to tell age in the actual makeup of the cars, that’d probably help to further divulge just how old the construction was. And being so close to the reported Cosmic Juggernaut, Welt couldn’t help but wonder...
“This door.” He unlocked it to a smaller, yet still equally impressive food car though unlike the main one this one had a bar lined in the middle. “The alcohol choices aren’t really what I would call impressive—though I’d suggest avoiding the red bottle.”
He pulled away to pour a drink. “Please, help yourself.”
"Well if anyone would know it'd be either one Welt Yang or Miss Himeko I'd think. But- that ain't here or there f'er now, I guess-." Still, he lets out a laugh as he holds onto his partner's hand. Allowing the other to lead him along with that soft smile playing at painted lips.
He was just a doctor, after all. What purpose did he have to learn about it other than to let his beloved talk about it?
"Mm, no definitely. 'm a li'l too old and I've had m'fill of gross places f'er anythin' remotely intimate." Eros replies with a huff before laughing. "Alright, we're goin' this way now~."
