Ask not of the night of separation; it came, and it passed away
My heart found a way to please itself again; life found a way to get back on track again

I always say I am not waiting for anyone and then listen to songs like "kahan ho tum chale aao muhabbat ka taqaza hai", "kisi nazar ko tera intezar aaj bhi hai", "chale bhi aao ke gulshan ka kaarobar chale", "akele hain chale aao jahan ho kahan awaz de tumko.."

ہم اتنے سخت ہو گئے ہیں کہ اب کوئی دل جلا کر بھی ہمارے سامنے کھڑا ہو جائے تو یہ دل نہیں پگھلتا
I have become so cold that even if someone stands before me with a burning heart, this heart does not even melt.

Once Ahmed Faraz said:
Tujh se bichar ke ham bhi muqaddar ke ho gye
Phir jo bhi dar mila usi dar ke ho gye.
And damn once I read somewhere:
Jo tera na milna kar liya qubool, phir kia farq parta hai
Hamein jo mila ham ne kar lia qubool.

آئے کچھ ابر کچھ شراب آئے
اس کے بعد آئے جو عذاب آئے
Aaye kuchh abr kuchh sharaab aaye
Us ke baad aaye jo azaab aaye
“Clouds have arrived, some wine has arrived,
After that, may even torment arrive.”
کر رہا تھا غم جہاں کا حساب
آج تم یاد بے حساب آئے
Kar raha tha gham-e-jahaab ka hisaab
Aaj tum yaad be-hisaab aaye
“It was settling the account of the world's sorrows,
Today, memories of you have arrived endlessly.”
Faiz Ahmed Faiz compares life's experiences to the arrival of clouds and wine, suggesting that along with joy, there may be challenges. The verses then shift to a personal reflection, indicating a change from worldly concerns to memories of a loved one flooding the present moment.
Faiz, a renowned Urdu poet, wrote during a time of personal and political challenges in the mid-20th century. "Aaye Kuch Abr" beautifully combines personal emotions with societal issues, making it a timeless piece that resonates with readers for its depth and universal themes of love, hope, and resilience.

اب اداس پھرتے ہو سردیوں کی شاموں میں اس طرح تو ہوتا ہے اس طرح کے کاموں میں
Ab udaas phirte ho sardiyon ki shaamon mein Iss tarah tou hota hai iss tarah ke kaamon mein

When Ahmad Faraz said, “tu mujhse khafa hai toh zamaane ke liye aa”. If you are mad at me, come just for the sake of this world
When Jaun Elia said, “woh jo na aane wala hai us se mujhko matlab tha” The one who is not going to come, i cared about them
And when Wajid Shaik said, “ittefaaq se milne waley marzi se bichar jaate hain” The ones we find through destiny leave by their own will

Dedicating Faiz Ahmed Faiz's poem to all the oppressed people throughout the world, specially Palestinians.
A few more days, my love, only a few days more
It is our lot to live under the shadow of tyranny
To suffer this outrage, to bear this pain, to weep awhile
This legacy of our past is our cross to bear
Our bodies are confined, our emotions in shackles
Worry is a prisoner, Speech is proscribed
But there’s a courage within us that keeps us going
It’s as if our very life is a beggar's garment
That needs to be patched with pain, time after time
But now these cruel times have almost run their course
This impatient longing is almost over
In this burnt desolation that is the world and its time
We have to go on, but not this way
The unbearable torment of unseen hands
The futility of heartburn, the body's unheard lament
Has to be endured for now, but not forever
This dust of sorrow that veils your beauty
This bounty of defeats on our fleeting youth
This worthless throbbing under moonlit nights
A few more days, my love, only a few days more

How could I be held accountable to anyone for my actions?
All the questions were wrong how could I answer
Kisi ko apny amal ka hisab kia dety/sawal sary galat thy jawab kia dety

Maine samjha tha ke tu hai to darakhshaan hai hayyaat
When I thought that since you were here, life would always scintillate
Tera gham hai to sham-e-dahar ka jhagra kya hai
That my love's pain being mine, the world’s pain I could despise
Teri soorat se hai aalam mein baharon ko sabaat
Spring becomes long lasting in this world only because of your face
Teri aankhon ke siwa dunya mein rakha kya hai
That nothing in the world was of worth but your eyes;
To jo mil jaye to taqdeer nigoon ho jaye
Were you to be mine, fate would bow low before me.
Yun na tha maine faqat chaha tha yun ho jaye
It was not so; it was only my wish that it were so;

It's so sad how someone once felt so broken that actually wrote;
ek roz koi aayega saari fursatein le kar,
ek roz hum kahenge zaroorat nahin rahi.

Once Albert Camus:
“There is so much stubborn hope in the human heart."
And Faiz Ahmad Faiz said:
"Dil na-umid to nahin nakaam hi to hai, lambi hai gham ki sham magar sham hi to hai"
