I always say I am not waiting for anyone and then listen to songs like "kahan ho tum chale aao muhabbat ka taqaza hai", "kisi nazar ko tera intezar aaj bhi hai", "chale bhi aao ke gulshan ka kaarobar chale", "akele hain chale aao jahan ho kahan awaz de tumko.."

ہم اتنے سخت ہو گئے ہیں کہ اب کوئی دل جلا کر بھی ہمارے سامنے کھڑا ہو جائے تو یہ دل نہیں پگھلتا

آئے کچھ ابر کچھ شراب آئے

اس کے بعد آئے جو عذاب آئے

Aaye kuchh abr kuchh sharaab aaye

Us ke baad aaye jo azaab aaye

“Clouds have arrived, some wine has arrived,

After that, may even torment arrive.”

کر رہا تھا غم جہاں کا حساب

آج تم یاد بے حساب آئے

Kar raha tha gham-e-jahaab ka hisaab

Aaj tum yaad be-hisaab aaye

Adhurey khwabo ka qabristan hai ye,

Maine samjha tha ke tu hai to darakhshaan hai hayyaat

When I thought that since you were here, life would always scintillate

Tera gham hai to sham-e-dahar ka jhagra kya hai

That my love's pain being mine, the world’s pain I could despise

Teri soorat se hai aalam mein baharon ko sabaat

Spring becomes long lasting in this world only because of your face

Teri aankhon ke siwa dunya mein rakha kya hai
