Chain of Thorns by Cassandra Clare

Might I just say, this series was one I absolutely adored. The first two books were what I read very quickly and I was desperate for the third one. I also read the third book as soon as it came out even though I ought to have been studying at the time. While the third book was a great read, I do feel like there were quite a few shortcomings in it. For instance, the whole love triangle was unnecessary. Firstly, we were just abruptly told that Matthew was in love with Cordelia and it was a revelation, none too reasonable. Then the whole Paris thing was just weird to me. I mean why would matthew ever run away with his parabatai's wife? No reasons are reasonable enough. And the ending was quite abrupt and questionable too. Also Christopher. He was my favourite character and Cassie just killed him off without a proper farewell or funeral or goodbyes or ending, nothing of the sort. Yet I read this book and for the most part, enjoyed it because I do love my merry thieves and company along with any tidbits of herongraystairs I can find.
