The 12th Doctor’s greatest power is that he does some of the weirdest shit and no one bats an eye in-universe and in the general audience. Like no one ever acknowledges how absurd he actually is.

Like is no one addressing how in the Zygon Invasion, he tried calling Clara a 127 times. A 127 TIMES. And keep in mind, Clara not once picked up her phone so she must have notifications off. So this leads to the next question, does this mean that he does this shit so often THAT THEY JUST ROLL WITH IT? She doesn’t even question why he’s been calling so many times no, she’s asking why he’s calling himself “Doctor Disco” like ok?

In both The Robots Of Sherwood and The Magician’s Apprentice/The Witch’s Familiar, he just has…random shit in his pockets. Like why does this man just have a spoon ready to go? Even more concerning is how casually he pulls out a teacup, makes himself tea, and just tells the Daleks not to question him. Like NO I CANT JUST UNSEE IT?

In the EU there’s a fucking comic where he just materialises in Clara’s bathroom while SHES IN THE BATH DRESSED WITH AN EYEPATCH. Barely bats an eye that shes naked and he’s intruding, and fucking starts talking about the success of his mission. And then when she asks him to wait, he fucking pulls out a plastic fish, tells her it saved his life and when she’s like “ITS A PLASTIC FISH…?” He actually goes, “Well nobody’s perfect.”

“Thirteen and Bill would be sooo romantically involved and there’d be so much lesbianism going on!”

NO! No there wouldn’t! Bc Bill wouldn’t go from looking at 12 as her space grandpa to looking at 13 as ‘oh she’s hot, I could get with that!’ 13 would be her Space Nan.

Bill would answer, ‘who are you?’ With a panicked ‘oh I’m Bill and that’s my Nan’ and 13 would just 😑 bc now she really doesn’t look old enough to look like her grandparent so Bill has to quickly change it to ‘mum’

13 would be adorable trying to play wingman for Bill and a girl she likes, convincing her to go and get the cute waitresses number and Bill would be embarrassed like mad bc you don’t want your Nan trying to get you hooked up

Bill would ship 13 and Yaz bc she can see how happy 13 looks when she’s with her, but turn away all ‘ew’ when they finally kiss bc who wants to see their Nan kiss someone

Bill would yell at her and call her a stupid arsehole bc she went and out herself in danger and then hug her really tight and try not to cry bc she already lost her granddad and she doesn’t wanna lose her nan too and it’s the first time the Doctor doesn’t correct her or mind that title and just hugs her back

No offense but the internet gives you the most wrong and fucked up idea of helping people because people get mad if you don't care about disasters happening in 72 countries, meanwhile the people in real life that are doing the most good picked one VERY SPECIFIC thing to care about and care about it REALLY HARD

thinking about how mr. "don't fall for me" riorson, who was already falling in love/in love with violet, but fighting it & in deep denial about it, made a pt to leave her a bouquet of violets after they had sex together for the first time, likely knowing she had received mutilated ones in her bed as a threat months prior, so it wasn't just about making her feel seen & cared for, but trying to replace a smaller trauma w/a gentle & tender gesture bc it's little things like that, that can make all the difference (and if that man doesn't know a thing about trauma & being haunted. plus, it makes this exchange even more poignant:

Tairn: “He cares for you. That’s already hard enough for him.”

Violet: “He cares about keeping me alive. There’s a difference.”

Tairn: “Not for him there isn’t.”)

casually drops this number like it’s nothing … sure he’s immortal and has spent way longer in arguably worse conditions, and doctor who fans are desensitised to incredibly long intervals of time spent just waiting, but rory was plastic for those 2000 years guarding amy and twelve never remembered any of his 4.5 billion apart from the 3-day cycle he spent alive before burning up. jack was conscious and aware and human for every fucking second of those nineteen years. in a maximum security prison. just going off the rumour that he’d find the doctor there. can you imagine . the devotion is insane and it never wavers

If I had a nickel for every time the Doctor had a sassy ginger companion he referred to as his best friend, and then said ginger companion had a daughter whose name begins with R (and was not the name they were born with) and this daughter even though human, has certain time lord characteristics due to complex plot reasons, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

DO NOT DO THIS!!!

If a website has a paywall, like New York Times, DO NOT use the ctrl+A shortcut then the ctrl+c shortcut as fast as you can because then you may accidentally copy the entire article before the paywall comes up. And definitely don't do ctrl+v into the next google doc or whatever you open because then you will accidentally paste the entire article into a google doc or something!!!! I repeat DO NOT do this because it is piracy which is absolutely totally wrong!!!
