Tips for writing spells:
If you want to keep something close, bury it in your back yard. If you want to attract something, bury it under the front door step If you want to destroy its influence, burn it. If you want it to move away and sink, throw it in running water If you want to disperse it to a distance, throw it into a crossroads If you want to fix its influence, inter it in a five-spot pattern If you want it to work by means of spirits, bury it in a graveyard If you want to hide its point of origin, conceal it in a tree If you want it to work in secret, give it in food or drink If you want it to work by stealth, hide it in clothing or on objects If you want its influence to begin or strengthen, throw it East If you want its influence to end or weaken, throw it West If you want its influence to rise and fall cyclicly, float it in a tidal estuary

LACKING ELEMENTS
* please note that you might not relate to these traits because of the signs that ARE in your chart. For example your missing sign(s) can be replaced by other with similar characteristics :)
Water
Lacking a Water placement might make you slightly more prone to logic rather than emotions. You’re realistic, brave and slightly reckless. For example Cancer is a very friendly, creative and strong minded sign. Not having it could make you very all over place. I imagine you having goals, for example, but not being quite sure how to achive them. Absence of Scorpio suggests you’re not very passionate. You see a lot of things as black and white and have a great logical thinking. Everything has an answer/solution for you. And than we have Pisces. Not having Pisces in your chart could mean that you’re sort of walking in one path and although you’d love to explore, you don’t quite know how. You’re also very simplistic and perhaps materialistic.
Earth
Earth signs are very dedicated and patient. If you have barely any Earth signs in your chart, you might find yourself being unable to finish a more time consuming project. You could also feel all over the place sometimes, not knowing what to do first. Having only a very few Taurus placements in your chart means you can’t really focus on just one thing. You’re not materialistic, but it takes a bit more to make you smile; you’re not happy with just anything. Lacking Virgo indicates you don’t really have a sense for detail. You’re also quite bad at organizing your time. Capricorn’s absence means you’re very vocal about your emotions and for some of you out there, literally nothing holds you back. Very fierce.
Air
You might notice lacking Air elements through the communication. I mean you have the talkative Gemini here, the social Libra,… not having these placements can reflect in your communication skills and also the way you express yourself. Gemini could be perhaps the most visible one. Not having much of this sign in your chart means you don’t really start conversation with someone or don’t exactly like meeting people in general. You might also have problems adapting into a new environment and you feel very strong about your opinions. Lacking Libra can make you very flegmatic. You don’t really care about other people’s drama. You’re also pretty straightforward when it comes to expressing your love. And then we have Aquarius. If this sign is quite missing in your chart, it means you’re more likely to enjoy tradition. You also express your emotions quite easily and don’t have troubles figuring out your identity.
Fire
When lacking a Fire element, even if it’s just one sign, you might find yourself unmotivated from time to time. You’re also more calm, quiet, not really in a rush to get somewhere. During an argument, you sometimes stay quiet even when you know the other person is wrong. Lacking Aries indicates you don’t really like taking risks, you might be adventurous, but you know where your boundaries are and you don’t step over them. Having a little Leo in your chart means you’re very selfless. You might be a bit on the shy side, but you’re definitely very sweet. Last but not least, Sagittarius. That means you don’t really express yourself. Whether that’s through the way you dress, perhaps your opinions, statements… Also you’re quite likely to change your opinions quickly based on other people (to adapt better).

Pendulum: How To

(Photo Credit) I have gotten a few asks about various things about how I personally use my pendulum and how it works and such. I thought I’d make a post about it. For this post I’m only going to talk about pendulums used for divination, not what they were “originally” created for. Only how I use them and what purpose they serve for me (and maybe you!) What is a Pendulum? In the most basic form, it’s a weight with a string attached to it. It could be as simple as a rock or nut with a string tied to it or it can be as fancy as a crystal with a beaded chain. What it’s made of or what it looks like, how basic or how fancy, it doesn’t really matter. It’s whatever appeals to you or whatever you can afford. Can only afford to go grab a rock and tie a piece of string to it? That’s fine, it won’t work any less than a fancy crystal one. What purpose does a Pendulum serve? It helps to reveal the most likely answer to certain questions. Whether you are trying to figure out if John or Jane is your soul mate or if Mary or Mark would prefer a sweater over socks, the pendulum helps guide you to the most likely or the most optimal option or choice. How does the Pendulum get the answer(s)? There isn’t any one way the pendulum arrives at an answer, at least in my opinion. I’m sure if you start working with one you’ll decide how you personally think it gets the answer(s) for you. But I will list the ways I think it’s possible for a pendulum to get answers: ● Higher Self/Consciousness. ● Spirits ● Energies ● Angels ● The pendulum itself (normally this is if it is a crystal pendulum because crystals have their own energies) ● I’m sure demons if you called on one Are the answers a pendulum gives 100% true and accurate? Well, no. The answers may come true and may happen, but that doesn’t mean every answer it gives will turn out the way you asked or even at all. Most of the time the pendulum is just giving you the most likely to happen answer based on what actions you and any other parties are currently taking and what you and any other parties will most likely do. ● People have free will and will be able to make their own choices. So, just because the pendulum said John is going to confess his love for you next month doesn’t mean he will. He could even fall out of love. ● Fate can change. Based on what you or other people do. So just because the pendulum said you’re going to become a famous movie star doesn’t necessarily mean you will if things change. How do you know what yes / no are? This is typically different for everyone. Normally you sit and ask the pendulum to tell you what yes is and then what no is. Most pendulums will start to swing a certain way (diagonally, straight, counter clockwise or clockwise) and it will depend on what you asked it to show you. So if you ask it “what is your yes position” and it starts swinging a certain way, that’s the yes position. do the same thing for no. However some pendulums won’t move no matter what you do. This means you need to “calibrate” them yourself. Choose a direction you’d like for your yes and then physically make it swing that way and say “pendulum this is the yes position”. Do the same thing for no. You can make a pendulum board if you’d like. I found it helps in the beginning. (Just google “pendulum board” for examples) Anything else? ● You need to be careful how you word questions. Sometimes your questions actually has more than one question in it and you’ll get an inaccurate answer. For example: Will I fly on American Airlines to Florida? You might fly but you might not fly on American Airlines. So you might get a no or the pendulum might not even answer. So you have to break the question down further: “Will I fly to Florida?” “Will I take American Airlines?” -You also have to be careful with how you actually word it. “Does John think I’m cute?” Well, the answer might be no because he doesn’t find you “cute” he thinks you’re “beautiful”. Yes that does make a difference with the pendulum. Also “Is John my soul mate?” He might be your soul mate but not in a romantic sense. “Is John attracted to me?” He might be, but only as a friend. You have to watch how and what words you use. ● If you want a certain answer, you’ll most likely get it. You can influence the answer, especially if you won’t accept anything else. You have to try and be unbiased. Which can be hard but it’s the only way to get a “truthful” answer. “Does Jane love me?” Well if you really want her to, you might get yes, even if Jane doesn’t love you the way you want her to. ● I personally think certain questions shouldn’t be asked. But that’s my opinion. You might feel differently. In the end it’s up to you what you decide is right and wrong, I can’t really tell you what to do. I can tell you what I don’t think is okay to ask but it’s still up to you in the end. -Questions about death. Everyone is going to die, and if someone is sick they might die sooner but it’s such a flexible thing and you’re going to hope for the answer you want and it’s going to hurt when it’s wrong. Sometimes it’s best to leave these questions. -Questions about other people’s relationships. I feel like this shouldn’t need an explanation but I’m sure it does. It’s just invasive. “Will Bob and Brit break up?” Well if you’re hoping they will you might get yes but there again it’s their relationship not yours. If you want to know you should ask them. -Questions about other people’s lives in general. Whether this be their sexuality, their gender identity, their “virginity”, whatever, certain things if you want to know you should ask them and respect if they don’t want to tell you. You might get the answer but is it really worth possibly losing a friend or knowing more than you should? -HEALTH QUESTIONS: Go to a doctor. If you ask if you’re sick you might get yes and you’re going to panic but it might just be a cold, or it could be cancer. Either way you should go see a doctor if you suspect you’re sick. This includes Pregnancy. It’s just better to do a test or go to a doctor. Another thing, asking about getting STD’s or other things like that, use protection? You’re entitled to do what you like with your body but I think it might be a good idea to be smart about it. If you generally concerned with getting and STD, just use protection or don’t have sex. It is that simple. At the end of the day, it’s up to you what you do. But, these are just my opinions. You can ignore them, that is fine, like I said it is up to you. I will not tell you what to do with your life. But these are just my suggestions when it comes to maybe Morals and common sense.
Another, really big one. Do not rely on the pendulum for all your life choices. You need to still make choices on your own without the pendulum. You still need to control your life.
The pendulum can help guide you, but you shouldn’t rely on it for everything. If you let it take over your life well then you won’t have much of a life. You can ask it questions, you can ask it to help you make certain choices, but you shouldn’t go to it for everything. Especially since it can be wrong. Just be smart. Use your common sense. Be safe. If you have questions feel free to ask!
