Stubborn is a good thing though, stubborn people don’t lose sight of what they want. If what you want is to go back to Italy and finish up these plans of yours some day, then that’s what you’ll do.

So far… [she whispered and sighed a bit, knowing that she’d screw it up eventually] Yeah, you’re exactly right. Whatever reason, it’ll always be weird. [she nods] Yeah, tell me about it. I guess I could. But it won’t be quite the same. [she lets out a breathy smile and looks down] I’m too stubborn for my own good, aren’t I?

“It’s always the hair” David confirms “out in that sun with the lemon slices and so on- that actually works by the way, but mine is natural just so you know”

Good boy. [she smirks] Ah, so that’s your big secret? It’s just the hair? Fascinating… I’ll keep it in mind. [she puts her hand on his arm] Yeah, I know, David. Thank you.

“Sure the labels are a good bet- doesn’t give you all the info, but I guess you only need that kind of stuff if you’re actually studying bio or chem stuff. Text books? Bane of my life, have to annotate them like hell”

“You know– I already find that confusing enough. I’m just glad that the bottles all have labels so that I can actually work out what I’m doing. And thank god for textbooks, right?”

I like you so far, whats other peoples’ problems? It’s incredibly difficult to adjust to life in a new school, never mind a new country entirely, lots of people don’t get that. Why lose hope? You could go back after school and get back to your plans.

Well, to me Milano’s still my only home. The first weeks I was too stubborn to talk to people, so I don’t think many people like me at all. Most of the time it’s mutual. [she chuckles] I’m starting to loose the hope that I’ll ever go back there. I had big plans in Italy, you know… But us moving kind of came in the way.

“Makes life more fun?”

“Hm. Any reason why?”

“How? They’re mostly different colours and then there’s the viscosity and the transparency and... Yeah, no, I’m gonna stop before I get full nerd.”

“I can imagine since there are a ton of chemicals in the laboratory. I’d get them all confused though,” She laughed “They all look the same to me.”

“A big bad water pistol for Hazel’s birthday, noted” David grins “Nah, everyone just adores the shiny hair- it works wonders for my social life” he laughs “anytime, you know that”

Obviously. You know what to get me for my next birthday. But it has to be bigger and better! [she smirks] I’m sure that you wouldn’t even need to try. You easily make everyone adore you. And thanks David, I appreciate that.

“I was just kidding, I’ll be fine” she laughs “Nice to know you’ll try, but I don’t wanna end up in hospital or even worse you getting hurt”

“I’ll be holding a scalpel so I don’t know how safe that’ll be but sure, I can try” Davids laughs “it;s fun, biology keeps me busy”

“It’s okay, I’m sure I’ll be fine” Smiling “Just got to catch me if I fall” Laughing “She seems the people skills type, how are you enjoying school so far?”

David shrugs “science- I spill a lot of shit, so it’s a useful trick to know”

Dianna laughs with a nod. “Indeed. It wasn’t a great day in science class for us girls,” She tells him with a chuckle and watches in disbelief as her notes are readable again. “I don’t even know how you just did that.”

“Yeah totally, I’m always experimenting with something or other- or dissecting stuff, just a warning” he laughs “yeah Biou is the one with the people skills”

“Wow thats amazing, I might pop by sometime and you can show me how smart you really are” giggling “Of course I did, she is pretty and awesome, just like you and that explains it”
