Stop posting pictures of ISIS Goat Shaggers and naming them as "Rebel Fighters".
Good evening, dear anon. Let me enlighten you. I believe you are referring to these three photographs taken by Ammar Abdullah [x] [x] [x] at the beginning of March 2016, where we can admire bearded men resting in various positions and that you accuse of being ISIS members. It is simply impossible for three main reasons :
- These pictures have been taken in Al-Lataminah, a village in the Hama region. ISIS isn’t even present in this province. Go check a map, anon. Here is a live updated map of the main fighting groups in Syria to educate yourself.
- Ammar Abdullah, the photographer, has been working for Reuters for more than four years and is a trusted member of this news agency. He extensively covered the war in Syria (he’s Syrian), especially diverse factions of the Free Syrian Army. So if he says that those soldiers are “rebels fighters”, I trust his word. On his wordpress he even refers to them as being members of the FSA.
- ISIS would never allow that kind of images to circulate. They are a very well oiled propaganda machine. They have various sites, magazines, press agencies etc… where every single one of their members seem invincible and intimidating. They would never allow images where soldiers are resting in trenches, drinking tea and globally exhausted to surface.
Only once have I seen fighters positioned in Al-Lataminah being referred as terrorists. It was in an obscure and incoherent report of the Syrian Army dating back to December 2015. The document wasn’t even referring to them as being members of ISIS but another terrorist organisation. So stop trying to paint me as a Daesh promoter.
I suggest you educate yourself before sending such messages, anon.

For Kinfolk Magazine’s Adrenaline issue, photographer Aaron Tilley and designer Kyle Bean created images to induce the unsettling moment of anticipation that occurs when something potentially bad is about to happen.
From the article ‘IN ANXIOUS ANTICIPATION’ by Jordan Kushins, Kinfolk Magazine
“A TELLTALE THUMP OF THE HEART, THE FLUSH FEELING THAT STARTS IN YOUR CHEST AND SPREADS TO YOUR FINGERTIPS, THE TIGHTENING OF MUSCLES AND THE QUICKENING OF BREATH: THE EFFECTS OF ADRENALINE ARE POSITIVELY PULSE-POUNDING, BUT THE PHYSICAL WHOOSH WE FEEL IN OUR BODIES ACTUALLY STARTS IN OUR BRAINS.
Tumblr media
The connection between what the mind perceives and how the body reacts is a curious relationship. Adrenaline flows into our autonomic nervous system when it anticipates that something bad is about to happen—not because something bad is already happening. This hormonal offensive was an essential survival tool for our earliest ancestors that came with our fight-or-flight response, which defends us against immediate threats.

By preparing our bodies to manage danger, these rushes precede both the impending action and our response to it. After all, if we were only filled with jittery energy and super-human strength once that stressor was actually upon us, we’d be sitting in the pit of a saber-toothed tiger’s gut.”
