I just realized there might be a North Stars-Whalers Stanley Cup final this year, and it made me think of (and miss) Liam and the boys and wonder how they are doing. And I can’t watch the Panthers play without thinking of Jake. So thanks for making all the fellas in your world feel like real people in my head.

Three out of these four final teams are Fake.

Dallas Stars are the Minnesota North Stars in 'verse as anon has pointed out (my Dallas team came from NOWHERE and was briefly called the 'oh shits' when I realised the North Stars existing meant the Dallas Stars were not logically a thing, and now they're the Dallas Wild just to fuck with everyone including myself), and Carolina Hurricanes are the Hartford Whalers. Panthers exist, but Vegas wasn't even a twinkle in the NHL's eye when I started the 'verse in 2012 (dear god).

I'm still mulling over a YCMAL expansion, how many teams would be involved, how that'd realign my lovely 3 division, 5 team per division conferences that are so nice and balanced, which RL franchises to include, whether or not I let the Carolina Hurricanes finally exist, etc, perhaps the Kansas City Scouts shall have an in state rival?, but it'd be in at least 2024 or so, 'verse wise, because before that point there are too many active and complete series.
