Graphic design - Lapinus brochures
‘Lapinus is the world leader in precision-engineered stone wool solutions. We develop and supply versatile and innovative products that help global industries to improve quality of life. Our products are used in a wide range of applications, including friction, water management, tracks, coatings, gaskets and fences. With more than a quarter-century of expertise and experience, we work closely with customers to adapt to their ever-changing needs, from water management to fire safety, vibration isolation to noise and dust emission reduction.  Made from 100% stone, our sustainable products contribute to shaping a better world for today and tomorrow. Lapinus is part of the ROCKWOOL Group.’
As a graphic designer at the Marketing department, I am involved in the rebranding of Lapinus. The new corporate visual identity is based on the purpose: ‘Release the natural power of stone to enrich modern living.’ It’s not about the product itself but how the product can enrich people’s daily lives.
These brochures are about two markets of Lapinus;  Water Management (Natural solutions for sustaining water resilience) and Friction (Innovative fibre solutions for safe and comfortable braking performance).

These posters portrait four markets of Lapinus; Water Management, Tracks, Fences and Friction. For the design I used a graphic element to visualise the story of the product and market. The main big picture illustrates the end-user in their daily life and how they can benefit from the product. The smaller image shows the environment where the product is used. Eventually the sketch tells something about the design and development process and how the raw material is implemented to an end product.

Graduation Project - MIND
The way we experience music has been changing in the last few years. With the advent of streaming services, we have become more passive in our listening. The album, such as an LP or CD, is disappearing as a work of art. Playlists and singles with no artwork are replacing them.
MIND is a project which will enable listeners to listen to music more actively. By combining new technology with the nostalgia of vinyl, a new sensory experience of music will be created which fits in with modern times. By making use of Augmented Reality, there is an interaction between the listener and the music. This project is about memories and reminiscing. Through the music your emotions and feelings will go back in time.
MIND is more than just music .

Repro
The way we experience music has changed over the years. The physical object such as an LP or CD have been replaced by streaming or downloading. I think that there is a significant lost of perception of music; there isn’t a physical product anymore but a digital tracklist.
‘Repro’ is a statement to the world today. This physical product has the same mindset as an LP, you have to get something out of the cover to be able to listen to the music. In this case, the poster with the link to the website where you can listen to the music. This concept has both a physical/analog and a digital starting point. This concept refers to eclecticism, reproduction, low art, mass consumption, consumerism, postmodernism and vaporwave. People can make music or designs much easier as a result of the digital revolution; everyone is an artist.
I think that a designer should always look at the past but must be innovative. I find it interesting how you can combine elements of the past with new techniques. You can use these elements or reproduce in order to improve your own work. You can thus give new meaning to different elements. I also find it interesting how sound or music may be associated with moving images, 2d and 3d objects.
The music of ‘Repro’ is produced by making use of samples from my record collection. The samples used come from different genres of music, such as soul, funk, jazz, rock, fusion, hip hop, gospel etc. These samples I merged into something new.
The artwork on the cover has been designed with this same thought. The artwork of the albums I used to sample the music from, are used to form form a new image.
The animation above are the same circles as the artwork on the cover. They start at the same place but move slowly toward each other and form a whole. The analog cover becomes dynamic in a digital way.

ICU Social Frame
At the train station most people wait alone. They are looking at the screen of their phone and don’t talk to each other. Research has shown that when you talk to people, the waiting becomes less tedious.
The ICU Social Frame is a installation which makes waiting for the train more enjoyable. You can play a game with the person on the opposite of you. While you play the game, you can see the person you playing with, which makes the game more social.

Sounddesign - Calibrate
Calibrate confronts us with the interpretation of the packaging in which we hide ourselves. The incoherence of the ever-changing personalities we link to ourselves is enhanced by the visual pattern unable to process by the human eye.
The designers collective ‘Drie’ (www.atelierdrie .com) created a optical print, which makes 2D objects look like 3D.
