Re-blogging this and other Shark TF drawings of mine to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jaws.
Also, no, I haven't even gotten started on that other CNF drawing, those 2 dogs I've been watching over took up a lot of my time this week.
If you're wondering why the text is orange, that's because this was from that month where I had been turned into Endive from Chowder (a character who still hates me for the terrible things I said about her).
Tumblr media
November 7, 2014 (Georgia Aquarium show):
Tommy: Welcome back to Fridays, here's more of tonight's brand new Codename: Kids Next Door.
(camera pans to the shark that Tommy is taking pictures of)
Shark (speaking in a Brooklyn accent): *ugh* Yeah, just go on and take as many pictures as ya want, why don't cha? These morons just love treatin' me like a circus animal, don't they?
================================================
For this Fridays show, Tommy and Tara visited the Georgia Aquarium.
I've haven't been there in several years, but I'd like to go back sometime in the future.
And no, not all the animals were rude.

Re-blogging this and other Shark TF drawings of mine to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jaws.
Man, I haven't talked to Jasmine since I separated from her in late 2023. Maybe I should go say hi to her.
Tumblr media
Yeah, sorry for the sudden absence. That wrist pain only lasted a few days after the fact, I've just been really lazy is all.
June 25 - June 27, 2023 - Jasmine's Magic Shark Tooth:
A few months ago, I found out that June 25th is "Shark Day". So, for TF Tuesday, I decided to head to the beach and get out a certain object that I've used before: my magic shark tooth.
As you can see here, I decided to do the transformation as Jasmine, and even though she was a little worried about placing the shark tooth in the wrong spot on her 1st try, it seems that she nailed it.
Also, just letting you know in advance, I'm gonna be doing this again next month, since July 14th is "Shark Awareness Day".
I'm also hoping to get to drawing a picture for the Buck Moon next week, but considering how lazy I've been, I'm not sure.

Re-blogging this and other Shark TF drawings of mine to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jaws.
Apologies for how terrible this looks, I drew this all the way back in January 2021, when my digital drawing skills were much less refined.

January 18, 2021 - At The Beach - Magic Shark Tooth:
If you’re wondering, this is the same shark tooth I used for All About Animals Day 8.
If you’re also wondering what inspired me to come up with the idea of this magic shark tooth, the idea was based on a random shark tooth I found in the sand during an overnight trip with my old school’s class back in the fall of 2013.
Also, this is the last piece of digital art I made in my old hairstyle. I liked how my hair looked facing forward in my shark form and decided to change my hairstyle of my human-self to resemble my shark form’s style.
Also also, I tried to make it look like I was sitting down, and it doesn’t really look good.

This one is from June 2021, just about a week after I had started posting on Tumblr, that's why Caroline looks much younger than how she looks now.

All About Animals Day 8 - Shark:
Happy World Oceans Day!
If the last panel reminds you of anything, it’s a reference to the book “The Three Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark,” which is a retelling of the “3 Little Pigs.”
As for the fact, did you know that sharks don’t have any bones? I sure didn’t because I felt like I had some bones for sure.

2000s Show Postponed
[Taken directly from the “News” section of the Mixels website]
(Also this isn’t actually real, just pretend that it is)
Just this morning, it was announced that the Mixels' TMBG tribute act's 2000s show at Royce Hall in LA has been postponed for 2 reasons:
The protests in LA have caused a lot of pushback.
Davis, one of the band members, is very busy with dog sitting and will be too busy to show up.
The show will now be held on June 27th at 7:00pm, with the doors opening at 6:00pm.

I think it's about time I mention my current favorite performance of They Got Lost.
Back when I recapped our Half-O-Ween show, I referred to this version as the "1999 Variant".
I now refer to it as the Middle Version 2.0, and let me explain why.
While it's at the same tempo as the '97 Middle Version, the points where Linnell sings are played the same exact way as the fast version. Not to mention, the bridge also has the same number of bars as the fast version.
This is also one of many performances from fall 1999 with Graham Maby guest starring as the bassist, since Danny Weinkauf was on paternity leave at the time.
Enjoy!

Today marks the 23rd anniversary of They Might Be Giants' 1st children's album, NO!
Just like Here Come the ABCs, I'm quite nostalgic for this album, hence why I don't hate it like everyone else.
In honor of this anniversary, here's a performance of two of the album's songs (including the title track).

February 28, 2020 (SOTSOG 20th Anniversary):
*camera quickly pans to Tommy*
Tommy: Check this out!
(COBRA TRANSITION)
Screeno: Ladies and gentlemen, "Oasis" with Who Feels Love!
(we then see a tribute band of Mixels performing Oasis' Who Feels Love)
(after the song, a graphic appears onscreen stating that the premiere of Mixels' Every Knight Has Its Day (Extended Version) was next)
================================================
This was a pretty big night, not just for me, but also my friends.
If you don't know, back in late 2019, me and some Mixel friends formed an Oasis tribute band. This appearance on Fridays (dedicating the 20th of Standing on the Shoulder of Giants) would be our first proper gig, with a big outdoor stage set up in Mixel Park for us.
By February 2020, we had been setting up what I considered an alternate lineup for playing Oasis songs from the 2000s:
Davis (me) - Liam Gallagher
Footi - Noel Gallagher
Jinky - Gem Archer
Glomp - Andy Bell
Flain - Alan White
However, Footi was out of town at the time, so Torts of the Glorp Corp played lead guitar instead.
Speaking of Glorp Corp, we hadn't settled on Glomp playing bass for the group until a day or so after this concert. In the meantime, Vampos of the Glowkies served as our temporary bassist (think of it like our own Paul Stacey).
Starting around 8:00pm, we would play most of the songs off the Shoulder of Giants album in-between shows. This was the setlist:
1. Go Let It Out
2. Who Feels Love?
3. Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is (shortened but also cut from broadcast because no one likes it)
4. Let's All Make Believe (controversially used playback because I was worried of ruining what is probably one of Liam's best vocal performances on any song)
5. Gas Panic!
6. Where Did It All Go Wrong? (acoustic)
7. Sunday Morning Call
8. I Can See A Liar
9. Roll It Over
Schedule-wise, we premiered an extended/edited version of Every Knight Has Its Day, mainly so we could include the following:
More character interactions.
Mixadel's guilt for unleashing the Mixelopters taking a bit longer to settle in (Mixadel: *turns to camera* I make good decisions!).
Camillot and Mixadel's rivalry being more developed.
Implications of Mixadel being punished for what he did (Teacher: Meet me in the principal's office when we get back, please?).
An after-credits scene with the MCPD still stuck in the cage, with a Mixelopter now in there too (Kuffs: We are so screwed...).
The Mixies (including Tapsy) have a scene or two together to explain why this music group is attending Mixopolis Middle School.
A few removed conversations from the original storyboards were added in (including that one where Mixadel says "Are you deranged? I would love to have my ass kissed all day!")
Here was the full lineup for that week (repeats will be listed in italics):
7:00 PM - Mixels Watch (NEW)
7:30 PM - The Powerpuff Girls
8:00 PM - A Bird's Eye-View (NEW)
8:30 PM - Mixels: Every Knight Has Its Day (Extended) (PREMIERE)
9:15 PM - Codename: Kids Next Door
9:30 PM - Mixels Watch
10:00 PM - *no programs as concert continues*
10:30 PM - A Bird's Eye-View
11:00 PM - The Hero of Aura City
11:30 PM - PBS Kids GO!

Re-blogging this to tag the rest of the songs.
All-Ages Show RECAP
Thanks to all who came to see us yesterday!
As we said in that show, our next concert will once again be at Royce Hall in Los Angeles on June 20th, and that it will be centered around TMBG songs from the 2000s.
Additionally, our show at First Avenue on July 11th will feature every song from The Spine.
Before we begin, here is a sort of key to explain certain things in the text below…
This means that I sang a song and no one else.
This means that Footi sang a song and no one else.
This means that Chao sang a song and no one else.
This means that I sang a song with Footi on backing vocals.
This means that Footi sang a song with me on backing vocals.
This means that Footi sang a song with Chao on backing vocals.
This means that Chao sang a song with me on backing vocals.
This means that I sang a song with Footi and Chao on backing vocals.
This means that I sang a song with Footi and Ash on backing vocals.
This means that Footi sang a song with me and Chao on backing vocals.
This means that Chao sang a song with me and Footi on backing vocals.
This means that Blip sang a song with me and Footi on backing vocals.
This means that more than 3 Mixels performed vocals for a song. Their names will be listed in the notes.
When “->” is shown right before a song’s name, it means that we went right into that song, with little to no banter.
Alright, here was the show's setlist (with some notes for a few songs):
(began with Wake Up Call over the PA)
1. Alphabet Of Nations
Technically this was Footi on lead, with me on backing, but it could also be vice versa (you could go either way, really).
W/ Ash on keyboard.
We performed the extended version ("GUATEMALAAAAAA").
Any songs with a music video like this one would have the music video played on a huge screen.
2. No!
Before the song started, we mentioned that this concert was in honor of the anniversary of No! (the album) being the following week.
3. Triops Has Three Eyes
4. Four Of Two
For the record, I am never singing the demo lyrics (I'd rather not sing about suicide).
5. E Eats Everything
I shouted the letters as Footi sang the individual letters.
6. Kids Go!
7. Seven
Footi and Ash did the talking parts.
8. Particle Man
W/ Chandelier during the breakdown.
9. Fibber Island
We introduced the song as "the place we go to stop making sense."
10. Older
Just like TMBG, the space between "time... is still marching on" was interrupted by a phone call. In this case, it was Footi pretending to be the ghost of Thomas Edison. He claimed that he was upset we didn't play The Edison Museum for our Half-O-Weens how.
Unlike TMBG, we "made up for it" by playing the song (just Chao on accordion and me on vocals), with me singing in a weird voice (which sounded like my impression of Kaput from Kaput & Zösky).
After the song and call ended, we went right back to Older (the audience erupted with laughter when that happened).
11. C Is For Conifers
W/ Footi on Tiple.
12. Doctor Worm
13. Robot Parade
Performed in G Major (no, not that G Major).
14. Fake-Believe
We played a custom extended version of the song (after the outro, we switched to the verses from Type B).
15. Speed And Velocity
With Blip on lead vocals, and me, Footi and Chao on backing vocals.
16. -> Alphabet Lost And Found
17. Infinity
18. Flying V
19. Where Do They Make Balloons?
20. One Dozen Monkeys
Performed in C Major.
Despite technically being ageless like all Mixels, Chao sang this for the opening part...
I am a girl, 23 years old
That's one more than 22
And one less than 24 (Two dozen)
We were planning to also perform Electric Car, but our touring manager suggested we not do it. He felt concerned with how the talk of electric cars has gone from "Wow, the future of cars!" to "Elon's stupid-looking monstrosity".
21. Nine Bowls Of Soup
All lights were turned off so the viewers could see the screen better.
Performed with just vocals, as the full instrumental was played as a backing track.
22. I Am A Paleontologist
23. 813 Mile Car Trip
24. I Am Not Your Broom
25. Stalk of Wheat
26. What Is A Shooting Star?
27. D & W
I dedicated this song to me and Wesley (my twin brother).
For the ending part, Footi voiced W, and I voiced D.
28. Z Y X
We extended the song to have Footi re-introduce the band (which he had done earlier in the show), replaying the opening instrumental.
This was followed by me singing the lyrics all over again (with the ending part this time).
29. -> Goodnight My Friends
Turns out, the song sounds pretty good when the singer isn't doing a weird voice.
(Encore #1)
30. I Can Add
The only reason we played this song was so we could dedicate it to a celebrity creature known as the "16-Monster", who appears in the music video. He got his name from the fact that he has a giant "16" on his stomach.
31. Fingertips:
Everything Is Catching On Fire
Fingertips (#1)
I Hear The Wind Blow
Hey Now Everybody
Who Is That Standing Out The Window
I Found A New Friend Underneath My Pillow
Come On And Wreck My Car
Aren’t You The Guy Who Hit Me In The Eye?
Please Pass The Milk
Leave Me Alone
Who’s Knocking On The Wall?
All Alone, All By Myself
What’s That Blue Thing Doing Here?
Something Grabbed Ahold Of My Hand
I Don’t Understand You
I Heard A Sound
Mysterious Whisper (we asked the crowd to sway their arms around during this part)
The Day That Love Came To Play
I’m Having A Heart Attack
Fingertips (#2)
I Walk Along Darkened Corridors
(Encore #2)
32. Can You Find It?
Since our only reference was a shortened version of the song, our performance of the song was also shorter.
Because of this, after "...which isn't fair" we immediately switched to "there are letters everywhere..."
For lyrics, I replaced "sorry to say" with "sorry to share" to rhyme it with "everywhere" and "fair".
Because of the shortened performance, I replaced "The aforementioned W" with "Could there be a W?"
33. Why Does The Sun Shine?
For the "nuclear reaction..." part, Footi listed "solar energy, a metal called tungsten, a bunch of glass surrounding the tungsten, and okay, I'm just talking about our own sun, which is a lightbulb!"
34. -> Why Does The Sun Really Shine?
35. Clap Your Hands
(Aw, schmixel) Clap your hands -> stomp your feet -> jump in the air -> EVERYBODY SCREAM! -> EVERYBODY SCREAM AGAIN! -> EVERYBODY, STOP SCREAMING!
36. Birdhouse In Your Soul
Played in its original key.
Also played at a tempo similar to the Tonight Show performance from 1990 (except without the horn section).

Update
Hey guys, here's an update on what's going on with this account.
The setlist for last Friday's all-ages show at the Tabernacle will be posted tomorrow, I just need some time to write everything out.
After the next 2 Fridays posts, I'll likely take a break from posting them altogether, as I haven't had much motivation to keep working on those particular things.
Now don't worry, I'm not quitting in any way, I just need some time to experiment with more characters than the ones I usually draw, especially since the 20th anniversaries of Camp Lazlo and Catscratch are this July.
Not only that, but I've got plans for something that, if the motivation stays, will likely come out this October.
Stay tuned...

(WARNING: Please do not harass the creator of this video!! I don't want to start any drama)
You guys, I cannot believe this.
Just earlier today, I found out that one of my drawings of me as Gordon from Catscratch was featured in a compilation of cursed Catscratch images.
I'm sure the person who uploaded this was initially thinking that I'd be ashamed of myself for drawing something so "cursed" that it ended up in this video.
But in actuality, I couldn't be prouder.
I finally made it.
I've finally hit the big leagues.

Re-blogging this to fit the rest of the songs in the tags.
Half-O-Ween Show Recap
Hope everyone had a happy Half-O-Ween yesterday.
Actually, I'm currently typing this on the Saturday after our show, since I'm gonna be very busy tomorrow (my family and I will be celebrating my younger brother's 18th birthday at a baseball game), so I'm typing this out in advance.
Since this is a holiday similar to Halloween, most of us were in costume (the horn section did not dress up):
Me - Liam Gallagher (dressed in the costume I wore for a Halloween concert in 2021)
Footi - Ghost
Chao - Vampire
Ash - Drawn-on mustache, just like Dan Miller many years ago.
Blip - Marty Beller
Vulk - Disk jockey
Glomp - Evil scientist
As mentioned back when the show's theme was announced, we played nearly every song off of TMBG's Haunted playlist in order (we didn't play Untitled because it's just a recording of some weird conversation between 2 people), as well as some extra stuff.
Due to the huge amount of songs, I will be re-blogging this in order to fit most of the songs into the tags.
But before we begin, here is a sort of key to explain certain things in the text below…
This means that I sang a song and no one else.
This means that Footi sang a song and no one else.
This means that I sang a song with Footi on backing vocals.
This means that I sang a song with Chao on backing vocals.
This means that Footi sang a song with me on backing vocals.
This means that Footi sang a song with Chao on backing vocals.
When “->” is shown right before a song’s name, it means that we went right into that song, with little to no banter.
Alright, here was the show's setlist (with some notes for a few songs):
1. Marty Beller Mask
Just like TMBG concerts, this song was performed in B Minor.
Despite the costume, Blip didn't actually wear a mask onstage.
If any song had a music video to go with it (like this one), it would be played from a projector onto a large screen.
2. Dead
3. Turn Around
First song of the show to feature our horn section: Koggpact on the trombone, Burnard on the saxophone, and Rocky on the trumpet.
4. Careful What You Pack
5. Now Is Strange
6. Where Your Eyes Don't Go
7. Lake Monsters
During the portions with no singing, I shouted out names of actual lake monsters of legend (including the ones from the song's music video).
8. When Will You Die
When mentioning the band names, I replaced "Marty" with "Whitney" as a reference to Marty Beller Mask.
9. Tesla
No, not the Tesla of modern times. The song is about the engineer Nikola Tesla, known for his work with alternating currents and X-rays.
10. I Lost Thursday
11. Hate The Villanelle
12. Hall Of Heads
13. Am I Awake?
For this song, we performed with a backing track so that the song's electronic instrumentation wasn't lost.
14. I'll Be Haunting You
("Detour" portion of the show, but also containing mostly creepy songs)
15. 25 O'Clock
Surprised this wasn't in the playlist, I think it'd fit perfectly.
16. -> (She Was A) Hotel Detective
W/ Chao on the saxophone.
17. Token Back to Brooklyn
W/ just Blip and Vulk playing instruments.
18. -> I'm All You Can Think About
(back to the songs included in the playlist)
19. Spines
W/ just Footi and Vulk playing instruments.
20. -> (She Thinks She's) Edith Head
Footi sang the high octave, while I sang the low octave.
21. Canada Haunts Me
Only backed by the horn section for this song.
22. -> The Spine Surfs Alone
23. Road Movie To Berlin
W/ Footi adding in the extra verse that was absent from the studio version.
24. Chess Piece Face
Only backed by the horn section for this song.
25. -> Skullivan
26. Last Wave
Footi sang lead for the "make out with a biplane" verse, due to my fragile vocals.
27. Dig My Grave
28. -> Rat Patrol
29. Havalina
Footi sang the "walking in the breeze" verse, due to my fragile vocals.
30. A Self Called Nowhere
31. My Evil Twin
32. The Fellowship Of Hell
For some reason, Footi changed the name of the baby of rock to "Paul" to better rhyme it with "all".
33. -> Mrs. Bluebeard
34. Whistling In The Dark
W/ Footi playing the chest-mounted bass drum.
Played in C Major, since we performed the song with our horn section.
35. Hypnotist of Ladies
Right before the song, Footi announced that our June 6th show at the Tabernacle in Atlanta will be an all ages show for families. That predictably got us some boos and jeers. Oh well.
(Encore #1)
36. Don't Let's Start
37. James K. Polk
38. Frankenstein
The reason for the lack of colored text here is because this is an instrumental song.
(Encore #2)
39. Istanbul (Not Constantinople)
Technically this was Footi on lead, with me on backing, but it could also be vice versa (you could go either way, really).
W/ an acoustic guitar intro by Ash.
40. They Got Lost
Technically we played the "medium version" of the song, but in this case it was what I like to call the "1999 variant" (I'll explain further sometime in the future).

16. -> (She Was A) Hotel Detective
W/ Chao on the saxophone.
17. Token Back to Brooklyn
W/ just Blip and Vulk playing instruments.
18. -> I'm All You Can Think About
(back to the songs included in the playlist)
19. Spines
W/ just Footi and Vulk playing instruments.
20. -> (She Thinks She's) Edith Head
Footi sang the high octave, while I sang the low octave.
21. Canada Haunts Me
Only backed by the horn section for this song.
22. -> The Spine Surfs Alone
23. Road Movie To Berlin
W/ Footi adding in the extra verse that was absent from the studio version.
24. Chess Piece Face
Only backed by the horn section for this song.
25. -> Skullivan
26. Last Wave
Footi sang lead for the "make out with a biplane" verse, due to my fragile vocals.
27. Dig My Grave
28. -> Rat Patrol
33. -> Mrs. Bluebeard
For the 3rd verse, I sang "Chao said to Blip..."

February 21, 2020 (Astro Quiz):
Long Haul: Hey, so I was wonderin'...
Davis: What's up, Long Haul?
Long Haul: Well, knowin' what happens in the original Astro Quiz, what's to say that an eliminated contestant might get injured when they're blasted out of the studio?
Davis: Oh, don't worry about that!
Long Haul: You sure? I'm lookin' at the ceiling right now. I mean, someone's sure to get a concussion from this right?
Davis: No no no, that's not what I meant. What I meant is that all their podium will do is fire off some steam, and then it will turn off. That's all.
Long Haul: Right, I was just makin' sure.
*graphic appears onscreen stating that Mixels Watch is back*
Davis: Any time.
================================================
(why do I suddenly hear Strong Bad screaming about my terrible drawing of a star?)
For this Fridays show, we adapted the concept of an old CN flash game known as Astro Quiz. It was hosted by me, since Tommy and Tara were in Berlin, Germany to talk to the cast of Pixar's Onward (more on that when we get to the March 6, 2020 show).
Also, do you remember when we filmed a mostly frame-by-frame recreation of the music video for The Go! Team's "Doing It Right"?
Well, we did it again this week. This time, it was a mostly frame-by-frame recreation of Oasis's Live Forever music video (specifically the US version; don't worry, we gave a flashing lights warning beforehand). The differences were that Footi was out of town and wasn't available to play Noel. As such, it was just me, Magnifo, Chao and Torts.
Schedule-wise, the lineup was much more normal compared to the previous 2 weeks.
But that's not all. After some delays, we finally introduced our version of CCF's .com Pick, in which viewers could go to cnfansite.com and choose what classic show (i.e. stuff from the late 90s and early 00s) they wanted to see at 10:00pm.
This was mainly done for 2 reasons:
To finally keep Ed, Edd n Eddy Future off the lineup, as not even the producers of Fridays liked that show.
To incorporate more legacy content alongside PPG reruns and the monthly 9:00pm shows.
Here was the full lineup for this show (as always, repeats will be shown in italics):
7:00 PM - Mixels Watch (NEW)
7:30 PM - The Powerpuff Girls
8:00 PM - A Bird's Eye-View (NEW)
8:30 PM - Super Eds (NEW)
9:00 PM - Codename: Kids Next Door
9:30 PM - Mixels Watch
10:00 PM - .com Pick
10:30 PM - A Bird's Eye-View
11:00 PM - The Hero of Aura City
11:30 PM - PBS Kids GO!
Sorry for posting this so late, I only just got back from our Half-O-Ween concert in LA.

December 27, 2024 - Linda's Loud Habits:
There, NOW my idea for Linda (Invisilizzy's mother) is on-model!
Here is a doodle that shows Linda's habit of shouting aloud about anything that bothers her, much to Lizzy's confusion.
Regarding Lizzy's family tree, she also has an older brother (name TBD). He's a bit of a jock, and my idea for him is somewhat similar to the older brother from Disney's The Buzz on Maggie, Aldrin. Currently, I'm thinking of how to better differentiate my ideas for his design so that he doesn't come off as a direct copy of Aldrin.
(Currently Listening To: Now Is Strange by They Might Be Giants)
