While I can understand everyone’s grief with the last episode, I just want to call out the people lashing out and saying how this show is “horrible and trash” are overreacting.
The Magicians has hit so many marks that other shows have not and refuse to hit on, and just because they killed off Quentin it does not erase the strides they have made. For some of you to assume the writers killed off Quentin without any regards of fans as if they haven’t built up his character in such a beautiful way, where he went from this seemingly annoying “me, me, me” character to a character that you could relate to and sacrifices himself for his friends was beautiful to see. Was it sad? Yes. Do I think the writers did it with ill intent? No. I do not think the writers killed off their queer character with mental illness just for the sake of doing it. This is not that kind of show, we all know and will hopefully see that after the anger subsides.
It could of have had a better build up, but this ending for Quentin is not the most horrible or unrealistic thing and I think it will have a good impact on the show. I appreciate the writers didn’t shy away with Q’s grey area of whether he did this out of sacrifice or suicide. It made sense for his character. This season was sloppy, but I have faith that the writers will build on this for season 5.
As far as Julia’s choice, 100% agreed that the choice should’ve been left to her. Considering the fact that they didn’t actually show Penny 23 making the choice for her, I will wait until season 5 to see if it actually played out this way. I don’t think the writers did this to take away her choice and I also don’t put any blame on Penny 23. Penny 23 is the only character besides Quentin to try to have Julia’s best interests at hand, so although he made the decision selfishly, I don’t believe he did it maliciously.
TL: DR- The Magicians is not a bad show, you’re just currently angry and should wait for season 5.
Side note: I don’t believe this show is queerbaiting. Quentin and Eliot would always be a grey area, and they were still written beautifully. I didn’t start the show expecting Quentin and Eliot or any other shipping was the “It” couple. The show has so many layers to it than to stop watching over a simple pairing. Their relationship/friendship was beautiful, don’t take away from that. And I think they’ve written an excellent bisexual character with Quentin, which most shows fail to do.
#The Magicians#quentin coldwater#julia wicker#this show is too good to be slandering it like it hasn't been so progressive in terms of sexuality and mental illness#every show has it's wtf season and I'll just let that be season 4 and I just know season 5 will be so much better

I wonder when certain BB fans will realize that poor jury management shows that you’re not a good player, even if you do get to the end. I don’t believe Tyler should win especially after his strife with Bayleigh (his attitude that week was disgusting) as well as some unnecessary comments like when he put Brett up. Things like this makes the jury bitter, and Big Brother is also a social game which people tend to forget. This is one of the times I think a bitter jury is deserving and Kaycee should win.

I'm happy that the people who blamed Bayleigh as the sole reason for the alliance not trusting each other can see now that they were going to be a mess with or without her

Tyler helping send home the only person Sam could really relate to is going to bite him in the ass. I feel like Sam is acting out cause she no longer has Bayleigh to confide in. I couldn’t tell if it was genuine, but now I can see she actually loves Bayleigh and probably hates that Tyler for her being gone. Also the fact that he’s not speaking to her the way he use to doesn’t help. We’ll see how long it last, but for now I can’t wait to see Tyler fall.

Remember a week ago when I said if Bayleigh leaves Haleigh and Fessy are going to start butting heads cause she was the glue that kept them together.

Sam should use Tyler telling her about his power as a reason to keep Bayleigh, cause of the hypocrisy that he showed saying he was voting her out cause she has a power. Too bad Sam is Sam.

I was watching the Bayleigh vs Tyler argument over and it’s crazy to me that he interpreted Bayleigh asking for an apology on how he treated her as her asking for an apology for throwing Angela under the bus. She literally gave him the exact reason she wanted an a apology and all he was focused on was the Angela aspect, which she wasn’t even referring to when it came to the apology.
Tyler is so focused on the game and having no personality outside of that that he can’t comprehend actual human emotions and act like a decent person.

The microaggression is so real when Haleigh can stand up there and say she was the hacker and these whites are thinking Bayleigh either had her lie or forced her to say it. If this show doesn’t start casting more black people as well as white people like Haleigh and Rockstar smh

Scottie doing all this like Level 666 won’t send him to jury when they’re done with him. News flash, they don’t like you.

While people are saying it’s dumb for Haleigh to blow up her game for Bayleigh, at the same time from her standpoint it’s just a game and right now her friend is hurting for something she did. Big Brother is not the end all be all, so I can understand her holding her friendship higher and not wanting to see her friend hurting over this.
I know some people want to see people be cutthroat gamers, but I actually love The Hive cause of how much they care. They’re such bad gamers cause they care about each other so much.

I’m mixed cause I don’t want Bayleigh to go through this, but I also don’t feel like Haleigh exposing what she did would make them want to keep Bayleigh especially after everything they did to her. They’ll still vote her out and come after Haleigh next week.

Angela was the one who locked the door after nominating her acting as if she didn’t need a jury vote so...
I’m living for Bayleigh showing them that she’s unbothered and I know Angela feels some type of way Bayleigh isn’t begging to talk to her.

As much as I like Rockstar, I’m kind of want Bayleigh to stay cause at least now she knows what side to stay on and she still has the power. Now that she can’t play the middle anymore I feel like she’ll be a less wishy washy player. Plus I don’t want Tyler to ever get what he wants again.

All Bayleigh said is she shouldn’t have stuck her neck out for Rockstar. That was one comment and she didn’t say anything about Rockstar afterward. She never said it was Rockstar’s fault, y’all taking this hate Bayleigh thing overboard. She’s on the block and she’s venting, move on.
#bb20#big brother 20#if she thought it was rockstar's fault she would've came after rockstar#clearly she has no problem confronting as we saw#but she's not
