--[This kid's got a busy agenda.]
"--Don't you think you should leave it up to, I dunno, the knights to help you? I'm not denying that you're not gonna save them 'cause like I said earlier, I've seen weirder, but that seems to be a bit hard to do by yourself."

The boy laughed at her comment, shaking his head quickly.
'It's my job to stop it.'
…But he didn’t quite deny it being a difficult task, which it certainly was. Nevertheless, destiny was cruel and unforgiving so he had no time to worry if his tasks would require more effort than usual.

"--M'names Dawn. Hello. But seriously, who wears a suit and a pair of Chuck Taylors? You know what, even better question, Doctor who?"
--She already doesn't understand this man. A record breaking thing, too, since Dawn doesn't get confused very often.
“Oi! I think I look perfectly nice, thank you.”
[He straightened his tie then ran a hand through his hair; making it stick up every which way.]
”I’m the Doctor, by the way.”

"--Yeah. That might be better for the both of us."
--She sits down, looking around. By the looks of it, she was in, what, medieval times? The closest to knights they had in the many planets she had visited looked nothing like that. But, she wasn't able to go back in time. Maybe this world was just stuck in this time period.
"--Uh, by the way, where am I?"
Her brow furrowed in confusion and all thoughts of her previous distress were stored elsewhere for the time being. Naturally, the princess had a curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, but she had to restrain from requesting to examine the device. The other woman had said she was from modern times, and her clothing and mannerisms certainly suggested it.
"I believe I have a form of understanding, however I am afraid that I must refrain from further inquiries."

[[yeah, you're right.]]
do you have a good explanation as to why Alice was a princess of heart, but not Ariel? (i think i might know the reason why, I just can't put it into words)
Afraid there isn’t any real explanation other than “Because they wanted it that way”. I suppose part of it might have been not wanting to have to deal with the logistics of getting a mermaid in different worlds. Or because they liked Ariel’s story better without her having to be a kidnapped victim (she parallels Sora in a lot of ways, more so than a lot of the other Disney characters I’d say). I think they also really wanted to keep her as a party member, someone the players could fight alongside. If they had made her a PoH, then they wouldn’t be able to have her as a party member, because at the end of her world’s story, she would be kidnapped and then when a player would want to replay Atlantica, they wouldn’t be able to have Ariel in her party. I think they also wanted to introduced the plot of PoH’s early, and having Alice get kidnapped in the first Disney world accomplished that. You couldn’t really have Atlantica first because it’s a difficult world that requires the player to have gotten used to the mechanics and whatnot.
So, I guess in summation, because they wanted her more as a party member than a Damsel in Distress, because they wanted her story and her parallels to Sora, because they didn’t want to worry about the logistics of mermaids in other worlds, and because they wanted a PoH to be kidnapped early on in the game for the player to be introduced to the plot and Alice + Wonderland worked a lot better for a variety of reasons than Ariel + Wonderland.
Basically, “Because they wanted it that way”

[[they wanted girls who show independence from first sight (belle fought against the beast at first, jasmin refused to let jafar be her suitor, Alice fought against the queen, mulan is pretty obvious, cinderella snuck out to the party with the fairy godmother's help, etc.) Ariel never really showed independence like the other princesses. I mean, she did, but not in the same caliber, u feel??? it's like I dunno, she kinda depended on things throughout the movie?? although I feel as though she should've taken cinderella's spot tbh. I don't know how to really define why]]

"--Hey person! Nice hair, by the way. Don't often see people with hair like it! Anyways, could you possibly tell me where I'm at?"
--The girl with the long, teal twintails looked pretty cool. Of course Dawn had to bother her. She had a rep, man!

"--Well, hellooo there stranger! The name's Dawn. What brings you to my hotel room at--" she glances at her alarm clock, "--eight in the morning?"
--Dawn had already been up for a while, but she wasn't expecting a person to appear in her hotel room, for sure.
