Welcome to Lights of Creation Inc!

This is an Ask/Adopt Blog! What this means, is that you can interact and ask questions to certain few Askable characters, but you’re also able to send in prompts for us to design characters from!

These designs will be up for Adoption for a price. The price will be shown on the post in question! In the future there might be some designs that are up for grabs for free. However, please don’t be upset with us if they aren’t.

Rules and Guidelines is currently being written and updated. You’re still more than welcome to send in asks and prompts! Feel free to be creative. Certain asks might even be used in a creative way to have an excuse to draw certain designs (Such as: if you send in flowers, an Artist might feel inspired to make an Adopt based on flowers).

In short: Please send in whatever asks you’d like!

MOVING BLOGS

[ Note ]: A slow process of moving will happen where I finally make this blog my primary blog instead of a sideblog!

This means I might feel more comfortable also sending asks since I don’t always want to send them in character, which it feels like I do if I send an ask from another ask blog.

I’ve already renamed both this and the other blog @dawns-laboratory

Be sure to follow that one if you’d like to see more from me! A queue might be set up for the other blog, we’ll see- I might otherwise just see it as a new start and just not reblog stuff. I just need to go through this blog to make sure I have everything saved.

One would think I'd be a bloody mess today but quite the opposite. Tired? Yes. But I'm feeling amazing. Much thanks to all the encouragement from people around me \o/

[ Mod ]: Just thought to throw this design out here as I’ve been struggling with it all day- And other days. Finally got colours and such done, but- Don’t get used to seeing her in blue/green! Brown is here to stay though.

I won’t elaborate more on who and what she’s about, as this is the character I’ve considered possibly making another blog for. While also considering completely retiring some old projects. We’ll see about that though, granted that there is a couple that are not likely to come back.

Anyways! Hope you enjoy the design and maybe you’ll see more of her in the future!

[ Mod ]: This is a character whose design I didn’t even finish when I first started with him. He was originally supposed to be a part of my blog “City of Light n Magic” which now is rebooted to “The Void Between Worlds”!

Now named Leith, as he didn’t previously have one!

He’s ran away from home after he fully came out to his parents as gay. The first time he tried, it was just a hypothetical question, and he saw that his parents didn’t react well. So he tried to ‘be straight’ by dating somebody of the opposite gender. But eventually it all came crashing down.

He’s now the roommate of Game Zone, the mare that found him on the streets after he had run away. (Note that she is not the mare he dated.)

She ended up taking him in and he’s stayed around ever since. He does however vehemently deny that he is gay, and often just avoids the subject altogether. But thanks to Game Zone’s patience and non-judgemental attitude, he has in the very least managed to open up about other things he enjoy. And bit by bit is accepting himself for who he is.

[ Mod ]: Another redraw done from the queue! I don’t recall who requested this guy, but I do recall that there was more than one. Either way.

This is Kalza! His design has overall just been tweaked and not changed too much aside from his horns and the gold marks/scars on his body.

Kalza is a demon with unstable magic, an anxious individual who tries to stay away from others both due to his magic often being uncontrollable, but also because of his blood. Because as weird as it might seem, Kalza has gold flowing through his veins, and the scars on his body are a telling sign of what has happened to him when others have found out.

But just as he has gold flowing in his veins, his heart is soft. He often battles his own consience when he sees others in need. Should he help them, and risk being hurt? Or should he leave them, be safe, yet let them suffer?

I asked a friend of mine who to redesign, and they gave me Exi! One of the characters whose design I didn’t really change aside from his eyes. I just never did a clean version of it, so here it is!

Exi used to be an Earth Pony, yet being trapped in a lab and experimented on has changed that. Now he’s capable of using magic, though it’s extremely unstable and he cannot control it. He’s also fully capable of seeing in pitch black places, but is also very sensitive to the light. Because of this he always has a blindfold on and doesn’t go out during daytime due to the light from the sun hurting his eyes.

Personality-wise Exi is... Awkward. He’s not sure how to deal with others around, and has a mix of suspicion towards strangers, as well as curiosity. After all, he’s never had the opportunity to establish proper social connections with people, when he’s only had scientists around him.

“I have been assigned other charges in the past. Uncertain of how they’re doing, as we’re not supposed to check in on our old charges after we’re re-assigned. All I know is that they were doing well up until the day I left. I know nothing of after.”

[ Mod ]: It does make me happy to hear tho. I often worry way too much about that I might be annoying or whatnot. Art is kinda the only thing that I have a bit more confidence in as I am proud of the progress I’ve made. Still seeing myself as more mid-range on that though.

It took some time for me to get back to these also because I just do these on a whim. So sometimes it can be a bit between updates. Or it happens like now where there’s several.

By the way, if you want to block these updates because you find them annoying or something, each is tagged “Mod Time”.

[ Mod ]: Since low energy, why not have some sketchy responses to old asks I got on this blog? Such as this one which I’ve had for ages but not gotten around to answer-

I used to use Paint Tool Sai, but got tired of custom Scatter Brushes being hell to make. One error after another. Really wasn’t worth it and since I had been eyeing Clip Studio Paint and had the money- I decided to buy it.

So now I’m using CSP and I’m never going back!

[ Mod ]: This character is one I received via a trade! I had two characters as OTA (Offer To Adopt) and we decided to exchange characters. This being one out of two I received! They had a name, but I’ll change it. So none currently. I’ll edit the post once I come up with one!

They’re my first Non-Binary character and comes from a prestigious family where each member takes pride in excelling at something. As one could imagine, it’s a very stressful environment.

They are an excellent pianist and often puts on concerts that are often described as magical.

They will show up on one of my blogs in the future as well! So I’ll tell their entire story then~
