Touken Ranbu is terrible because it is pretty much canon that a lot of things that traumatized swords was basically them being treated as what they were during their past - as swords, tools. Sometimes decorations (altho Japan has its own specifics on what defines correct treatment of inanimate object as result of general belief system). Selling old blade, giving sword as a gift, discarding a broken one, keeping a sword of enemy. All those things potentionally becoming horrible in retrospective.

that’s why my favorite is sengo muramasa, the amalgam of consciousness of all muramasa blades who bears the same name as his swordsmith, near or far most based on the blade called myouhou muramasa, as a shikigami i love him because of the perspective of how history and people’s feelings through every single aspect of life and death shaped him into being and how a being entirely formed by it could probably break from the weight of its own mind, but he doesn’t, something that has been an object of luck, an object of curse, an object of lust, an object of adoration, an object dedicated to a faith, an object of slaughter, an object of rebellion, an object of freedom, an object of noh plays, an object that should have never existed, an object that should be destroyed and dismantled, an object that is desesperately trying to be kept into existence

because that particular being able to find peace is nothing else but extraordinary

Update on Kazaguruma

Hey guys!

Bad news here. I planned to post the finished chapter 2 tonight after weeks of moving and technical issues.(sorry for that!)

In the end of march the whole chapter crushed and I had to do a whole lot of work again. (Including translating to english). Today the SAME happened.

I was smart and saved 3 copies of the chapter but ALL of them crushed too. Seems that it was the program itself. It is sadly not able to restore older versions of the chapter.

What does that mean for the FF?

I'm going to Change some plans. The FF will be a kind of side/ Mini FF dedicated to the encounters between the Muramasa family and Nichi. Means there will be more like short, light chapters.

For the path Tonbo and Sengo will go, I'll start a new project soon!

I'm so sorry, but after my whole writing crashed two times I'm not motivated to write the same stuff again. (First I planned on leading the FF to TonMura only after their day with Nichi , but like I said- that will Now be an extra FF. )

Of course I hope I am still allowed using @artsynedthenerd s AU for this <3 (also Thank you for always hyping me up QWQ)

MIHOTOSE NO KOMORIUTA 2019 SENSHURAKU

Just some screenshots I took while watching the live-broadcast earlier today. Most of them failed, so… I don’t appear to have any decent shots of most of the cast. Poor Sengo isn’t featured at all! xD

Anyway, I had a blast watching this show again. It’s been nearly exactly 2 years since I watched the original musical in theaters! (I saw the original show on March 23, 2017) They hadn’t changed much. A new song, some scenes were slightly different. I think the most noticeable difference was the way the actors seemed to have re-interpreted their roles. In the last two years they’ve learned a lot about their characters and you notice this in the little things. The slight changes in their reactions. A different intonation, despite saying the same line. 

Again, if we ignore he insane amount of plot holes in this show, it was another solid performance if you ask me.

The second act too, was pretty solid. I love most of the songs, I love most of the outfits and I definitely need to re-watch it sometime.

Lastly, addressing one of the plot holes after all. The major issue has always been the question: “How does no one notice? With the strange outfits and unusual hairdos, people should show some suspicion, right?” For convenience sake we ignore this, or assume they did actually wear disguises, but the musical simply doesn’t show this. After all, we wouldn’t be able to recognize the characters anymore if they made any drastic changes to their looks. 

This afternoon, I suddenly realized their could be another possible explanation why we don’t see them age or look different. It’s because Ishikirimaru doesn’t tell us! We’re not watching what actually transpired. We’re looking at Ishikirimaru’s memories of the events. We can only see what Ishikirimaru tells in his book. What we see is the image we create in our mind as he tells it to us. Since Ishikirimaru doesn’t describe how they disguised themselves, our brain simply inserts their default self into the image.  In short, what we see is the story Ishikirimaru is telling us. We don’t see the Touken Danshi age or disguise themselves, because Ishikirimaru fails to mention it happened.

Well, um, I hope that explanation makes sense. In my head it’s super clear, but actually explaining it with words is quite hard. >_<;;
