Soooo - with how low muse has been for this verse in general, I’m thinking on adding those muses that are active over to @diverse-hearts​ as request only and maybe return here once the muses allow it >.<  I’d be basically allowing any of the muses here to be requested there but the most active would be - Mori, Elise, Chuuya, Shirase, Fyodor and Oda.  Sorry for the disappearing act - Genshin really just came for my ankles.

Heya! Sorry for the radio silence - Genshin’s taken over my soul and I’ve been trying to catch up with drafts everywhere.  I think for this blog I’m going to need to drop quite a few of the threads but we’ll see.  Atm - Mori, Chuuya and Shirase are really the only active muses atm but I’m not giving up on here. I will be back at some point - I just need to catch up a little elsewhere and write up some Genshin verses for some people here /o/

“There you are, I was beginning to think I was stood up”, he smiles lightly, shifting aside some paperwork in order to lean into the offered kiss, “I’m free for both - why? Have anything in mind?”. Another kiss was given before he shifted to his feet, walking over to the desk to see the gifts he’d been given. Honestly, he always felt so touched whenever someone remembered a date that was mixed with so many emotions for him and Hansuke just seemed to know how to surprise him every year - even if this was the first time they were dating.  “Hmm - how’d you know this was one of my favourites?”

“Poke me one more time and I’ll be snapping that finger off”. He’s been lost in his own thoughts before the drone of annoyance had registered, his hand moving to grab hold of the finger but Dazai shifting out of reach too quickly like always. It took a further few seconds to process what had been said, the smallest of smiles forming as he shook his head.  “Couldn’t you just not be annoying for one day?”, he sighed and leaned up to pull him down for a quick kiss, “Sounds perfect - but what are you having?”

“Hey there”, he laughed lightly as he accepted the hug from out of no where - honestly anyone looking would no doubt find it kind of strange that they were friends like this, “A cake? You didn’t need to go through such a hassle...but why don’t we grab some takeaway and you can help me in eating this delicious looking cake?”, he smiled and gently ruffled his hair playfully. It was his birthday, so he felt like he’d earned a few hours to himself.

He wondered who might have been the one to let it slip on what day it was, a birthday given to one who had never learned if he’d even been born or not - a day to celebrate his life that was given to him in a lifetime that felt so far away and yet so close. Whenever he was around Miran, he just felt so much lighter. This woman had done more for him that he could ever help to express and though keeping his distance would maybe mean she was safe from whatever curse seemed to follow them, the truth was, fate would always pull them back together.  “Dinner sounds perfect. I can have this later? Or meet up with you and Strelitzia later”, he gave her a soft smile, reaching over to tuck some hair behind her ear, “Nothing about this gift is ‘weak’. Thank you for thinking on me. This truly means a lot to me. I promise”.

She let go of his hands and quickly went to set down everything she had brought before hurrying back to his side, both excited and nervous to show him what she had set up.

“Okay, you can look now!”

A blanket was laid out on the ground and a large picnic basket was on top of it. Some glasses were set up along with a bottle of wine.

“Surprise~! I packed a bunch of food! Sandwiches, fruits and of course there’s cake too! I thought you could use some peace on your birthday so here we are. Just a picnic on a beautiful day where not a single soul can disturb us. No enemies, no danger. Just us.” She smiled before placing a kiss on his lips and taking his hands back into her own. “Happy birthday, Chuuya.”

“I’ve had my eyes closed the entire drive”, he reassured her yet again, a small laugh breaking free though. He wasn’t sure as to what it was that she had planned but it was easy to get wrapped up in the energy that she displayed whenever excited about something. They both were shrouded in so many layers of secrecy and yet, they trusted one another. Was a little strange if he put too much thought into it but for now he simply laughed as he was led out from the car. How could it be this easy to win over his heart? 

“What happens if I do peek though?”, he joked, standing there and waiting on her to finish whatever it was that she was setting up for him. If he was to be honest, he’d forgotten about todays date - until just then were a horrible feeling caused his stomach to drop, only for spirits to soon raise as Anikka walked back over, her warmth and energy making him smile as he slowly opened his eyes.  “How’d you know?”, he smiled and gently returned the kiss, “Was I drunk when I told you?”, he laughed lightly, pulling the girl in for a gentle hug before lacing their fingers and walking over to the picnic, “This is perfect - you didn’t need to go through this much hassle”, he paused, sitting on the blanket and reaching up to tug Anikka down into his lap, “So that must mean that I get you all to myself for the day too”.

Birthday Wishes for Chuuya!

She had to be one of the most confusing humans to have interacted with him. Most seemed to be afraid of him, to the point that he tended to go out of his way of avoiding having to meet any of them, just watching as they dropped off ‘offerings’ then fled from the temple as quickly as their legs could carry them. Why offer something to something that they were afraid of? But this girl was different. She once was like the others but over time that seemed to have changed, to the point that he always looked forward to her visits. 

“Birthday?”, he paused in eating the apple he’d been enjoying, thinking over the word and if he’d ever heard it before, “...does it have something to do with being born? I don’t know if I was born though”. He frowned in thought, glancing down at himself. He looked human enough - did that mean that he was one? No, they called him other terms but never human, never like them. He was something else, something dangerous and yet this gentle girl was wishing to give him a birthday? Could he truly celebrate such a thing? If Miran said that he could then maybe it could be something between just them - another shared secret. 

“...I suppose you could choose a date?”, he’d slowly pulled himself to his feet, walking over to gently kiss her cheek, “You’re the only one I love after all”.

“Are you trying to get yourself killed!?”, he snaps out even as he turns to help and steady her on her feet, cheeks slightly heating as he felt this kiss against his cheek. When it came to Miran, things still felt rather confusing and whenever she acted like this, it threatened to make his head hurt, “...time today?”. Well, he didn’t have anything planned. He’d actually almost forgotten the date until Dazai had spammed his voicemail with sarcastic birthday well wishes. 

“...I guess I could come over in a few hours...if you want that is...”, he glanced off to one side for a few seconds, trying to settle back down, heart racing from such a simple thing as a kiss to his cheek. Why did she have to be such an enigma? “...what time do you want me over? I’ve only got one more job then I’m free really...erm...you could come with me if you like”. Luckily enough his cheeks had finally returned to their normal shade, a small cough helping his voice to do the same. Only Miran could have this type of effect on him.

Birthday Wishes for Chuuya!

With the rest of the paperwork having been finished, he had just shifted from his chair to get ready to leave when he heard the creak of his office door, slightly surprised to find Mari standing there, with a gift of all things. He honestly didn’t expect people to remember this date, it was connected with so much history that most no doubt would wish to forget, but that didn’t stop him from feeling rather touched when someone did remember. 

“You didn’t need to get me anything”, he softly sighs, a smile forming though as he carefully unwraps the parcel and studies the wine to have been gifted, “A good wine too. You’ll have to join me later for a drink. Thank you Mari. You honestly didn’t need to, so thank you”.

“To be honest, this has to be one of the very few years I haven’t dreaded the date”. He’d been rather busy, with most nights ending with him curled up against Miran’s side, her presence being more than enough to settle his mind. She was always there, always by his side, always reminding him of who he was and to be honest, he knew he wouldn’t have been able to do all that he has if he had attempted it on his own.  With a small hum, he wrapped his arms around his wife, leaning in for another kiss, only to softly laugh at the warning concerning the twins. He shouldn’t have expected anything less, should he?  “Hmm - and did they say what that was?”, not that he minded it remaining a surprise, another kiss being given to his wife, “Ah, nevermind I’m sure they want to surprise me...afterwards I have you all to myself though, right?”
