Trek Altitude, Distance, and Trail
The altitude that Kedarkantha reaches is 12,500 feet, while the distance is of about 20 kilometers. The trail is a mix of gentle slopes and steep ascents, passing through dense forests and open meadows, with frozen lakes. All this variety ensures that the trekking experience brings about continuous changes making for beautiful vistas, accompanied by a feeling of being on top at each turn.
What Does the 5-Day Trek Look Like?
This is a five-day, delightful trek that starts from the base camp in Sankri. On the first day, you will travel from Dehradun to Sankri, soaking in the scenic beauty. On the second day, you will start from Sankri to Juda Ka Talab, where the camp shall be pitched beside a calm frozen lake. On the third day, you will do the trek to Kedarkantha Base Camp with absolutely beautiful views of snow-covered peaks. On the fourth day, you will make the final push to Kedarkantha top, merging with other panoramic views of the Himalayas. On the fifth day, begin the trek back down to Sankri, bringing an end to this undoubtedly remarkable journey.
