New Year's Resolution

Be something other than ordinary

It's crazy how much can change in a year.

I guess it just frustrates me how close we used to be and how a month when you couldn't text went by and everything changed. All of a sudden everything we've been through was what, forgotten? Thrown out the window? People change I guess.

I love my friends. I really do. I can't imagine being best friends with any other person here. But he's depressed and I can't blame him for that and I don't and I have been and will always be there for him and that will never change. But nights like tonight. When he's in a bad place and there's nothing I can do for him. Find out he thinks he's getting worse. That he has not motivation to do anything some days. That more often he thinks about being dead. I can't help but think of the times I've been through this before. And I can't tell him. Then he won't talk to me and that's not what he needs and not what I want. But when he feels better and goes to sleep. Who's there for me when I can finally break down. Afraid that I could lose a friend. Upset that I can't help him. I love my best friend. I just want to be able to help him and not being able to is the worst feeling in the world.
