Silent night, Broken night. All is fallen, When you take your life. I found some hate for you, left all alone. You found some love for me, thinking I would let go. Don't keep me from crying to sle-ep Sleep in heavenly peace. Silent night, Moonlit night. Nothing's changed. Nothing is right. Time only numbs the memory of you. The pain is rekindled, flame anew. I could not stop you from sleep-ing. Sleep in heavenly peace.

Wire Drawings and Scribbles as Wire Sculpture by David Oliveira
Lisbon-born sculptor David Oliveira creates delicate figurative sculptures using wire that’s formed to look like manically drawn ink sketches on top of photographs. Some pieces are even hung by invisible filament creating the illusion of hovering in place. See much more of his work on his website and Facebook. Txt Via

The Force Awakens A Gaggle Of Disney Characters In This ‘Star Wars’ Mashup
Maybe the dragon form of Maleficent is what caused the explosion that John Boyega and Daisy Ridley (and Olaf from “Frozen”) run from in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Or what if R2-D2 broadcasted a message in which Pinocchio said he was “going to be a real boy”?
Leave it to Aladdin to lend a helping hand to Finn.

That’s right, the thousands of objects in each of her artworks are placed and stacked by hand and sit completely loose during the exhibition. You can see more of the Netherlands-based artist’s work on her Facebook page here.

All It Took Was The Summer
After rescuing this adorable kitty last summer, Magdalena Grześkowiak took to instagram to document their fun and adventure filled summer together. Tumblr
Magdalena said:
Her name’s Kate and she’s a rescue cat. When I first met her, in spring 2013, she was 2 months old and she resambled Kate Moss—really thin, with distinctive legs. Ever since she lives with me I can’t stop taking the pictures of her. She’s a supermodel, just like her namesake, and she’s here to stay.
Please consider learning more about rescuing animals if you are interested in creating memories with your own little bundle of love. Thanks for reading!

Pit Bulls In Flower Crowns Result In A Seriously Heart-Tugging Photo Series
Photographer Sophie Gamand, the artist behind “Flower Power,” was not originally a fan of pit bulls. However, as a volunteer with animal shelters and rescue groups that frequently encounter the breed (or amalgamation of breeds), she felt the need to dig deeper to discover the roots of her aversion to pit bulls. “I wanted to understand for myself what the [larger] debate was all about,” the artist explained to The Huffington Post. “Were they bloodthirsty monsters? Or just dogs with a bad reputation?”

This woman was detained and told to leave the airport for being trans
Shadi Petosky just wanted out of Orlando, Florida. On Monday night, Petosky, a 35-year-old transgender woman, attempted to board a flight at Orlando’s International Airport when she was detained by the TSA. The reason? An “anomaly” — her genitals. The TSA does have a policy for treating trans fliers, but there’s just one problem with it.

Dreamy Paintings by Kevin Gray
Kevin Gray was born in 1982 in Germany and is a graduate of  the Weissensee School of Art Berlin, where he studied with the internationally acclaimed artist Katharina Grosse. Working with both oil and spray paint, Kevin’s works often possess an unidentifiable light-source.
He depicts neglected scenes of nature and abandoned architectural structures; poppies, bridges, stairs, and islands are all recurring motifs in his paintings. Despite the lingering mist that seems to permeate his compositions, there is nonetheless a luminous quality to his color palette. Kevin has exhibited extensively in Berlin, and is exhibiting his work for the first time in China in 2014. For more check out artist website.

Roughly a dozen wildfires have been raging through a drought-ridden California since last week, killing at least one woman and forcing thousands of people to evacuate their homes.
On Monday, two separate fires annihilated homes and displaced more than 20,000 people. Schools and businesses also have been destroyed, and at least four firefighters were injured while battling the blazes.
California Governor Jerry Brown declared an ongoing state of emergency on Sunday.
