When i entered Eng1102 and realized we have to read five different novels in one semester when I haven’t read a full one in my life…

Once I started reading those novels I realized it was not so bad… since the quizzes on each novel were extremely easy, which made me happy!

…But had to do some essays that were so difficult…

and then a group project… group work… which i hate… :(

but all in all… great class taught by a great teacher!

I can honestly say I gained so much knowledge from taking this course. I found each week more and more intriguing as we dove deeper into the fandom world. To be challenged a see growth in my writing along with being thrown into this massive culture I had very little exposure to made this semester an “EXCELLENT” experience (had to throw in the Wayne’s World reference). On a personal note, Wayne’s World was one of my first fandoms. I saw the movie in theatres 16 times with my friends. I cannot tell you how excited I was to find this gif. I might have just fangirled out :D

I like this one because in this course it reminded me about how infatuated with books I can become. There are alot of people out there, I was new to the online world of fandoms, I’m more of a traditionalist with a hardcover book tucked away reading as fast as I can to discover the ending. I can understand there are some stories I wish never had ended and fandoms keep them alive, there is so much out there and its pretty cool seeing everyone bonding over something they are passionate with. I myself got to meet some reallly cool people in class who thought the same way I did.

I took this as it shows the astounding outreach John Green and the other volunteers have in their project for awesome and the foundation to decrease world suck. Which sounds really similar to the world not being a wish granting factory and world suck. I love that 100% of the money goes to the true cause and they are able to improve the world in a big way. John green makes some really happy worlds both in stories and out.
