Wow, that sounds very familiar!Huh, I find it funny that they both have an angel on their shoulder)
I honestly don't remember which comic book Angel Nightwing was in, but I'm sure it was!

Tim deciding to put a piece of paper with the Robin logo on it over the Batman symbol on the chair is already amazing (did he draw that? print it out?) but I like how Dick also specifically chose to sit in it while visiting during the parent teacher conference even though he didn't have to. "oh cool Tim made a Robin chair I gotta use it"

Dick and Kory weren’t just a couple — they were narratively built for each other. Marv Wolfman and George Pérez crafted them with parallel arcs, emotionally and thematically. Dick, the disciplined human struggling with identity outside Batman’s shadow. Kory, the exiled alien princess learning humanity, freedom, love. They grew together. Their relationship was emotional, spiritual, ideological — not just romantic. They were equals who challenged and bettered each other.
And then editorial got messy.
Enter Babs, whose original purpose was not even romantic, but Batman's girl counterpart and suddenly she’s being wedged into a love triangle like it’s CW drama. Not only that, but they deaged her, rewrote her dynamic with Dick from “older mentor figure” to “quirky same-age love interest.” That’s not evolution, that’s surgery on continuity with no anesthesia.
They butchered Dick’s history with Kory just to make room for a status quo that’s more palatable to a Bat-centric branding. They erased an engagement, deep emotional growth, and cosmic-scale love just to reduce her to a “fling.” That’s not just disrespect to Starfire, that’s disrespect to decades of storytelling.
It’s no coincidence that Dick and Kory’s relationship flourished when they had autonomy outside the Bat office. The Titans gave them space to be messy, raw, radiant. And it’s telling that when creators have the chance to write them freely (like in Titans, DCeased, Injustice, Future State) they gravitate back to DickKory. Because it works.

I love the idea of all the batkids kinda being weird with Bruce's money - Dick doesn't want it; Tim has his own money; Damian was born in luxury and doesn't really comprehend Bruce showing affection with money. And then there's Jason texting Bruce something like "put a couple of hundreds on my bank account" or just forwarding Bruce his bills because goddamn, that boy has pride but he's not stupid: if the old man wants to pay, let him fucking pay.

It's not: "Dick wanted to kill Zucco and Bruce decided to make him Robin to stop him from being a murderer"
It's "Dick would have still gone out in the streets as Robin by himself regardless of what Bruce said but he was also 8 to 13 (depending on which comics we are talking about) and being with Bruce means Batman could give him some protection and they could teach each other".

sometimes dick gets nightmares when bruce isn’t around. alfred’s sense of propriety vs dick’s big ol’ puppy dog eyes <- a battle for the ages.

dick being an extremely flexible acrobat is actually so underused because really there should be at least one panel of him in bridge position crawling backwards at some goons in the dark and freaking them the fuck out so hard they never return to that musty warehouse. it's empty to this day

9 times out of 10 dick has good reasons to yell at bruce but nothing is funnier to me than the times when bruce has actually done fuck all but dick freaks out on him anyways and his internal monologue is just “he doesn’t trust me. he thinks i’m a failure. he hates me and wants me to die. he’s everything to me. i wish i never met him. he’s my batman and i’m his robin but those days are over.” ok man let’s calm down.

10 year old Dick: "Bruce, when you get married, can I be the best man?"
Bruce: "Of course, chum."
---
12 year old Dick: "Hey Clark, do you think when you get married, I can be your best man?"
Clark: "I don't see why not."
---
25 year old Dick: "In my defence, I had no way of knowing you'd end up marrying each other."

Dick Grayson haunts everybody's narrative. He's inescapable. Literally.
But you know who haunts his narrative?
The shadow of a young boy in a robin uniform, who died under a building, carrying his legacy. He didn't know him, he might've, at some point. But not now. Not now when he looks into the cold white lenses of the red helmet. Not now, when he watches him pick up a gun. Not now, when he dons a new name; a new identity.
He didn't know Red Hood.
And as his brother puts back the helmet on, he decides that he's never known him in the first place.
