Weekend Wisdom from Jon Stewart:
"[While shooting Rosewater]...the thing that I tried to establish early on was, trust your discomfort. If I'm saying something, and in your head you're going, 'Oh really?' Trust that discomfort and make sure you articulate that to me. Because one thing I am good at is making a new plan. That's the nice thing about basic cable that is different than film: Everything we do is pretty disposable. If one avenue is blocked, it doesn't feel like a defeat to go, 'Well, let's try it this way.'"

Weekend Wisdom from Charles Mingus:
Creativity is more than just being different. Anybody can plan weird; that's easy. What's hard is to be as simple as Bach. Making the simple awesomely simple, that's creativity.

Weekend Wisdom from Jenji Kohan:
I think likability is BS -- we are complicated beings, sometimes we're likable and sometimes we're not... and sometimes we mess up radically. I want to live in that gray area, I never want to sit in the black or the white -- I would get bored and I don't think it reflects reality. Women are flawed, and people are flawed, and why not talk about that?
