Listen To NGHTMRE's Heavy Unreleased Remix Of Ekali & ZHU's "Blame" Each of Ekali ’s Awakening mixes are full of gems, and his latest is no different. With multiple Ekali edits and unreleased tracks, one that stood out to us was the NGHTMRE remix of Ekali & ZHU ’s next level recent collaboration “ Blame .”  Ekali works the NGHTMRE edit into his original starting at 33:39 and it really takes off during the drop. NGHTMRE incorporates parts of the original while making it own with his new percussion, a re-worked, hard-hitting experimental trap drop that takes everything to a new level before lush synths and bright vocal chops kick in. Getter Shows How He Produced His latest Single "Colorblind" On Awesome New Beat Breakdown Video Getter has done producers around the world a favor and recorded a new Beat Breakdown video for his versatile new track " Colorblind ." In the video, Getter discusses the inspiration for the tune as well as specific plugins and techniques he used. He takes questions at the beginning and the end all the while entertaining us with his over-the-top persona and style. Getter discusses the inspiration behind "Colorblind," opening up about the depression he was experiencing when he wrote the song on his way to Budapest. Tired of dealing with fair-weather friends and toxic relationships, Getter wanted the track to be a "fuck you" song, which he says, like his other tunes, encapsulated his mood at the time.  Getter goes into the technical details behind the making of "Colorblind" breaking down the layers of the lead synth at the drop and shows the different techniques he used on both the original song and final version. Samples from in the track include Crash Bandicoot, a hyena from The Lion King, and clowns. Getter dissects the metal outro of the song, showing us how he used AmpleMetal Eclipse and Superior Drummer to achieve realistic guitar and drum sounds. He gets into the technical mixing of the song and discusses his hardware setup for mixing. Cashmere Cat Drops Off New Incredible Eclectic Mix For Diplo & Friends Ever since he first started putting out music back in 2012, Cashmere Cat has been one of electronic music’s most enigmatic, creative, and out-of-the-box producers. Although he’s taken a route towards working with R&B and hip-hop artists in the past couple years, Cashmere Cat still offers up some incredible instrumentals. The young Norwegian producer can be very elusive, so you know it’s special when he decides to make an appearance on a radio show like Diplo & Friends .  Cashmere Cat, who is currently on a co-headlining tour with MØ on their MEØW Tour, found some time to drop off an hour-long mix for Diplo & Friends this weekend, and it may be one of the most eclectic collection of sounds we’ve ever heard. At one moment you can be nearly moved to tears by melodies from Bjork, the next you’re pumping your elbows to some of the most intense sound design you’ll ever hear by the likes of SOPHIE and Cashy Cat himself. He even throws in a solid collection of modern rap bangers, somehow.  If you’re in the mood to check out some music you probably won’t hear anywhere else, lend your ears to this mix for an hour. GTA Team Up With Dillon Francis, Wax Motif, & Anna Lunoe On Infectious New Deep House Tune “I Can’t Hold On” Every once in a while we come across a collaboration that simply blows our minds. Seeing GTA , Dillon Francis , Anna Lunoe , and Wax Motif all on the same song made us do a double (maybe even a triple) take.  If we know anything about GTA, it’s that they know how to defy genres unlike most other artists. Trap, Hardstyle, Moombah, House, Future Bass; the duo can do it all. That’s why when they released their third installation of their Death To Genres EP, we literally had no idea what to expect. Our favorite track off the EP, “I Can’t Hold On” is GTA’s take on deep house, and it’s on point. With the help of electronic music all-stars like Dillon Francis, Wax Motif, and Anna Lunoe, it has to be.  The track begins with Anna Lunoe’s pitched up vocals paired with a classic, juicy deep house synth that leads eventually leads into a catchy drop that will have your head bobbing and your feet moving. Even though there’s four separate artists working on this track, its nearly impossible to pick out who worked on each part, making it seem like a more of a collaborative effort than usual.  This is a fantastic beginner track for those who aren’t quite sure if they like house music yet. Watch ODESZA's Cinematic New Video Made Entirely From Fan Footage ODESZA never disappoint with their videos whether it be music videos, recaps, or this time - a compilation of fan footage. During their Moment Apart tour they asked fans to send them footage from their experience on show day and compiled this footage in a special montage. They just shared the finished video bringing together footage from fans doing everything from their morning routine to traveling to the the shows in a way that worked perfectly. The video tells their fans' story of going to a show through the use of what seemed like hundreds of clips.
