There it was; the first day at Decelis High School. Sunoo wasn't the type of person to be excited about school, but he didn't hate it. He moved schools about 4 times already, and every time was like an opportunity for Sunoo to have a "new" personality. It was like choosing a character. He could be the guy who always tries to be funny but ends up looking around awkwardly when no one laughs at his joke or a nonchalant and mysterious boy who is actually an ENFP, or maybe a heartthrob? All that sounded like fun, for sure. But, in reality, he never actually did any of that. He just went to school with whatever personality he was born with.

"So, what class do you have first?" the girl with a blonde bob asked, a sweet smile spread across her face as she observed the new boy in front of her. He pondered for a few seconds before shrugging with a sheepish chuckle. "You're not making my life any easier here, are you?" Jinsol sighed and then snatched the paper he was holding (since he didn't even check it). Her eyes quickly scanned the paper with all of the boy's classes listed. "English." her words were met with an overly noticeable exhale from the boy as she handed him the paper back. "Yeah, I don't like English either." she nodded.

"Wanna sit with me and my friends at lunch?" Jinsol's tone was friendly, looking at the boy with interest as they walked to his class. She genuinely seemed like an awesome person, so Sunoo felt like becoming friends with her friend group couldn't hurt. "Sure," he responded with a quick nod and offered her a small smile. Sunoo agreed even though his close friend Aeri was somewhere in school at that moment, he originally planned to see her at lunch. But, Jinsol matched his "energy", so surely he was interested in getting to know her better. And he will see Aeri at some point anyway.

Once the two reached a classroom, Sunoo's new friend waved at him with the words "I'll see you later. Have fun in English." Jinsol was being sarcastic, of course. Sunoo doubted that he would have fun in English, in a class that he disliked.

With a sigh, Sunoo stepped into the classroom, the noise of students chatting with each other filling his ears. The lesson hadn't started yet, so thankfully the classroom was busy enough for Sunoo to be unnoticed by others, even though he wasn't that nervous anyway. The teacher hadn’t shown up yet, and Sunoo stood there for a moment, his eyes scanning the room as he searched for a seat. "Did everyone suddenly decide to come to school today?" he muttered under his breath, struggling to find an empty seat in the filled classroom. For a second he was losing hope until he finally spotted a free seat in the corner of the room, next to the window.

At the desk which was next to the one Sunoo planned on taking, sat a boy who had slightly messy black hair that fell over his dark eyes a little. His skin was smooth and he had full lips, but he also had sharp features like his jawline and prominent eyebrows. He wore multiple earrings and had a baggy gray hoodie on. His face was turned in the direction of the window, mindlessly staring at the outside world, until a silhouette blocked his view.

At first, Sunoo didn't notice the guy at the desk beside him as he approached his seat, placing his bag next to his desk and settling in the chair. The black-haired boy didn't recognize the new arrival, who had just blocked his only source of entertainment. Had he missed everything while skipping school? Nevertheless, he now had a new source of interest. He didn’t know why, but even though he could no longer see the window, he couldn’t look away.

He was staring at Sunoo. The boy’s facial features were delicate and well-defined, with glowing skin, plump naturally pink lips, and expressive amber eyes. He also had a few moles, which perfectly complimented his face. His wavy dark hair caught the light from the sun outside the window, giving it a shiny appearance. He seemed to have some kind of a charming or even dreamy presence, and it caught Riki’s attention.

When Sunoo finally noticed the one staring, for a few seconds he blinked in confusion but then offered the guy a friendly smile. "Hi," Sunoo said in a somewhat sweet voice. Caught off guard, the boy with black hair realized he had been staring let out an awkward chuckle, and nodded in response, without even acknowledging the sheepish grin that had formed on his face. Once he turned his head to look away, he was experiencing something that felt like embarrassment mixed with dizziness.

"I'm new here. My name is Kim Sunoo." Why did he continue talking to him? And in that sweet voice too? "Uhm... I'm Nishimura Riki." the boy replied in a deep but also slightly unstable voice, his gaze flicking between Sunoo and the surroundings. Riki noticed that the cheery boy had a somewhat surprised look on his face once he told him his name, and it was a little alarming, making him overthink in seconds before Sunoo spoke again: "I have a friend whose name is also Riki!" Sunoo’s explanation was a relief for Riki. The chuckle that Sunoo let out as he said that sentence made Riki's smile wider, but he didn't even notice it. "It's nice to meet you." Riki finally spoke again, his tone unusually warm. In response, Sunoo nodded and smiled back at him "Nice to meet you, Riki." After he said that, Riki found himself staring for a few seconds before quickly turning away, their conversation coming to an end.

And only when Riki turned away, he realized he had a smile on his face the entire time. That was new.
