make time for art
nourish my body and soul
surround myself with nature
respond to my challenges with endless love and gentleness
celebrate life’s everyday magic
follow my passions

Revisited screen printing today for a checkout class at @factorytwo, but used more of a photographic/digital collage approach than the drawing based screen print I did last year. It was more challenging than I remember but it felt good to struggle again. The inspiration for this quick collage I threw together was a tweet that went viral a few weeks ago during the Kavanaugh confirmation about women and anger festering like bees. I chose to use source imagery from vintage advertisements circa 1950s because I feel like as a society wI are still struggling with some of the same issues and concepts that we were 70 years ago. Kudos to Matthew Osmon for helping me fight the good fight and pull some decent prints. #art #umicharts #flintarts #screenprinting #printmaking (at Flint, Michigan) https://www.instagram.com/p/BpBHDsdF7Wv/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=3vww4ovsap3f
