Book Challenge Condensed
Day 12:
Book that is most like your life- This one is tough. I'm not sure there is a book that really hits the nail on the head here. I've gone through so many changes, challenges, and road blocks in my years that only a chain of books could describe what I've gone through.
Day 13:
Book whose main character is most like you- Again, this is pretty simple to answer. I haven't read many books whose characters I could truly relate to. Honestly. But if I could be like anyone from a book it would be Walden by Henry David Thoreau. I would love to live in the woods and learn to be almost completely self sufficient and off the grid.
Day 14:
Book whose main character you want to marry- This makes me a total fangirl, but I don't care. I would marry Peeta from The Hunger Games trilogy. Please don't make fun. And if you haven't read it yet, don't bitch later about how much you hate the fan-dom the movies will most likely attract. Peeta, be mine?
Day 15:
First chapter book you can remember reading as a child- The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings. My dad loves those books, and as a child he would read them to me. We would take turns reading sometimes. I loved those books so much. I also loved my dads little routine of reminding me what happened in the stories the last time we read.
Day 16:
Longest book you've read- Well, after I'm finished with 1Q84, I'm pretty sure I will be able to say that it's the longest book I've ever read.
Day 17:
Shortest book you've read- This spot belongs to many books I've read over the years. Most of the books I read as a kid, like Goodnight Moon, count.
Day 18:
Book you're embarrassed to say you like- These days I'm almost embarrassed to say that I've read almost the entire continuing series The Walking Dead. (I'm missing issue #86 & 87) The TV show has brought on a ton of new fans, and I've been following it almost from the start and hate talking about it to anyone who only watches the show, which is embarrassing because it makes me feel like a bad person.
...to be continued.

Hey again, tumblr friends :D
I'm back after a pretty long "hiatus"! I'm gonna finish these challenges, even though I failed. I'm gonna try not to overdo it and stuff up your dash.
Not that anyone reads this, but what's been going on in my life? I went to PA recently with my bf to pick up a truck he bought pretty much on a whim. I've been playing waaaay too much MW3 for my own good, lol.
I only have two DEP meetings left before I leave! I'm getting pretty excited. I've continued with my diet and am only eating 1,200 calories a day, give or take a few. I hear that's the least amount of calories you can eat as a woman and still be healthy. I'd eat more, but considering how much time I have left, it's crunch time. Only it's not crunch time for snacks, of course. ;)
I fell off the wagon around Thanksgiving and gained like 5 pounds. I have my mom to thank for that...and myself as well hahah :p But, anyway I'm back on it and doing better than ever. Yay :)

MOVIE CHALLENGE-Day 11
Your favorite actor/actress:
Amanda Seyfried is quickly becoming my favorite actress. I have other favorites, of course, but right now she is the only one that comes to mind.

MOVIE CHALLENGE-Day 10
Movie that makes you fall asleep:
Amadeus.
I love this movie so much, but the soundtrack always lulls me right to sleep. It's one of those movies you love falling asleep while watching.

Book Challenge-Day 10 & 11
Day 10: Book that changed your life
Self Reliance and other essays by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
“My life is not an apology, but a life. It is for itself and not for a spectacle. I much prefer that it should be of a lower strain, so it be genuine and equal, than that it should be glittering and unsteady.”
Day 11: Book from your favorite author.
I don't really have one favorite author. For a long time Chuck Palahniuk was my favorite author until I grew somewhat tired of his voice. Sorry Chuck! :( These days it is too difficult to choose a favorite author, so I'll throw out a few books by 2 authors I really like but haven't mentioned before.
     Mark Z. Danielewski
   Ernest Hemingway

Thank You
For anyone who has served or continues to serve in our military, I just want to say thank you so much. Your commitment and bravery have kept us safe here at home, and there are not enough words to express my gratitude to you.

:(
It feels like my heart is being ripped out of my chest. It breaks my heart every time you talk about fixing up our room or opening a savings account together, because I just think to myself how I won't even be around to enjoy these things with you.
You keep trying to make plans with me. It kills me. You understand everything I'm about to go through, because you've already been there. You know if I could stay with you, I would. You know better than anyone else that this is going to be good for me, but in the process I'm so afraid I'm going to lose you.
So please don't give up on us when I'm gone.

Book Challenge-Day 9
Book that makes you sick:
I know I've already written about how much I can't stand Lolita, but here it is again. It is the only book that I can think of that disgusts me or makes me sick.

MOVIE CHALLENGE-Day 8
A movie that you know by heart:
Trainspotting, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Rent and a few others, but since I can only choose one I'm going to say Sweeney Todd. I know it almost line for line.
Please don't send me hate mail, but I really don't like how quirky Johnny Depp usually acts in some of his more serious roles. That having been said, I think he did a really great job on this one.

Book Challenge-Day 8
Book that scares you:
1984. We have "crime" cameras in the city. I just hope that things never become as severe as they were in this book.

MOVIE CHALLENGE-Day 7
Movie that reminds you of a certain event.
Trainspotting. The first time I watched this movie I remember sitting in my room eating mac&cheese and feeling uncomfortable because my mom was in the next room. I think I was in high school but I can't remember exactly. I remember right after that I spent hours playing Final Fantasy VII haha. I don't really know why I remember this day so well, I just do.
And watching Trainspotting made me realize that I needed to read some of Irvine Welsh's books, so that week I went out and got his book...title: Porno.
Apparently my mom came home early from work and saw my new book laying on my bedside table and when I came home she let me know she was confiscating it. LOL. Then we argued over it for a week. More like I got yelled at, but it's funny to look back on.
