Saturday night drunk sketches..

i don’t recall seeing the sky before the sun went down, it escaped me honestly, nights come too fast. to be fully honest, i had sat in my room all day.

though that may not be fully true. i grabbed my cello and head out to a state wide orchestra and band festival where i won a first place medal. i should’ve started with that, but i didn’t.

of course i’m very, very happy about it, it was really nice, and now the medal sitting in my jewelry box.

i drew quite a bit today. (below is my favorite piece of the two i made, slightly edited the contrast so it showed up better)

yes, i did add a watermark. i doubt anybody will actually steal my work, i have plenty of proof it’s *mine* (i literally have the physical form of it.)

but that is what anxiety will do to you, no matter how little you are!

charcoal may be my favorite art medium, it’s #1, and then there’s pencils in #2, and then watercolor in #3. but i prefer the sort of charcoal that’s small and stubby, a charcoal pencil is too precise and free. i want to estimate where my lines will land, not know confidently. my art is better that way, when im not confident. but that fact seems to not be true when it comes to my life.

for example when i swallowed my nerves in that room today and played the song i had practiced for months, i won. i got the best score possible. so art is the only thing i can be unpredictable with.

Charcoal Tuesday!

Been having such a crazy week, and its only Tuesday so i decided to star working on some charcoal pieces to change things up!

Also to all the new faces to blog welcome! Still working on my Constucticons drawing so stay tuned!
