i feel like the fact that alucard isn’t his real name went really underutilised in the castlevania netflix show. like imagine if, in a moment of vulnerability, sypha or even dracula called out and called him adrian. or if, after successfully killing his father, adrian drops the name ���alucard” and stops defining himself by his father as his mother would have wanted. him hesitating for a moment when sumi and taka ask his name, and he says “…adrian.”.

it’s especially a shame as in season 1(?) he says something like he’s going to become alucard of wallachia in order to kill his father, implying that “alucard” is a persona of sorts, and that he is, deep down, still adrian. his wanting to live by his mother’s will should have been better reflected by his shedding of the persona, because, as he says, lisa would have hated him defining himself by dracula. i also feel this would have been symbolic of him leaving behind his defining character motivation of (most of) the first two seasons of killing his father, and could have symbolised a change in his character towards a new arc (even if that arc wasn’t very good, imo).

anyway . i loved castlevania netflix and am very excited to see alucard in nocturne !!

Let Men Cry

Just a small thing that I adore about Castlevania as a show is that we see a lot of men cry. And with that I mean really ugly cry, rather than having a single tear sexy-cry. I love it.

Let men cry. Men deserve to cry, too.

I’ve read all the fics where Trevor saves Lisa and now I need a reverse au.

Adrian hears of the plot to kill a family accused of witchcraft and his first thought is to save them, imagining his own family being hurt.

He runs over to their house, getting injured on the way. Adrian starts banging on the door until a blue eyed woman lets him in, he shouts at them to run, to get away from here before they’re all burned.

However, they hide in a magical basement instead, taking adrian with them.

Imagine the teen dhampir stuck in a basement filled with weapons and hunters realizing that he’s just saved his number 1 haters.

Bonus if Trevor and Gabriel are out of town for some reason and Trevor’s mom is so kind and protective she refuses to let him out alone when he’s still hurt.

Adrian is scared but she reminds him so much of his own mom he can’t say no. It’s only when the others are back do they try to fight him. Meanwhile Maria knew the whole time but wasn’t about to hurt a child.

Idk I just love the thought of young Adrian getting the love he deserves

Currently plagued by the mental image of a deliriously ill Alucard mistaking Juste for an older version of Trevor.

It's probably a magical/cursed weapon related sickness, considering that Alucard is a dhampir and wouldn't be likely to suffer so much otherwise.

Maybe Juste and Alucard have known each other for a few years at this point, fighting evil and mentoring Maria together, so Juste is relatively familiar with the reserved front that Alucard puts on around other people.

Juste has no idea what to do with an Alucard that's so vulnerable, he's completely caught off guard by this new version of his family's old guardian, who talks to him openly as though he were someone else. This hidden version of Alucard is naturally still reserved, but also much more honest and expressive, and it's freaking Juste out.

Alucard, for his part, is very upset that "Trevor" doesn't seem to be comfortable with receiving any form of physical affection. He keeps asking if it's something he did or said, and if "Trevor" is mad at him (his behavior is very similar to that of someone who just got their wisdom teeth removed).

Maria isn't here for this, thankfully, she's off looking for the ingredients to a cure.

Juste is very awkward but trying his best not to cause emotional damage with his very understandable discomfort at the situation

Actual ghost!Trevor is also there, and is also freaking out, because he can't interact with anyone or do anything.

i’ve been getting into castlevania recently & alucard has dug his obnoxiously pretty face into my brain so here are a bunch of random thoughts i had while watching the show on netflix (spoilers for s3+)

this man is an unnecessary level of pretty. like, I’m talking biblically beautiful man.

they’re non-binary. i don’t make the rules- it just makes sense. i feel as though most vampires/immortal creatures fall so far outside of the gender binary, but i don’t have an explanation for it.

bisexual. bottom. bisexual bottom. bisexual bottom

i have never in my multiple years of living, seen something as devastating as this scene because wdym he laid down, still naked, on the floor of his childhood bedroom in the exact spot that he killed his own father, half-covered by a sheet doused in the blood of two people he thought were his friends that he also had to kill.
