Rory had only taken long enough to get another drink before he’d lost track of Parkley. He seeks out familiar forms in the crowd- not with Edgar or Kirby. He diversifies his search- nowhere near October or a dazed looking Calem and a disheveled Duke who looked terribly pleased with themselves- something he notes he’ll have to make fun of the guitarist for later. But just before sinking terror can settle in- he finds her, her costume head pulled up and big brown eyes leveled on someone he’s only... marginally, familiar with. “Park, what’re ya up to, darlin?” He questions, the little girl turning to make note of his approach.

“Look at their dress, daddy!” She declares, Rory chuckling softly. “I want a dress like that one-”

“Well, maybe daddy’ll take you shopping sometime- Sorry about her, everybody bein’ dressed up either for halloween or this party has kinda left her a little awestruck, runnin from place to place- hope she wasn’t too much of a bother.” This person doesn’t smell too much like a fae, and wasn’t scowling at them like they’d shit on their lawn, so maybe they were alright. “I’m gonna have t’ look into a kid leash, I guess.”

He’s really got to start thinking about getting ready for the concert at some point- His change of costume tucked into the cab of his truck already waiting at the park across the street, Parkley’s ear protection likely in the same place. It’s ironic, he reasons, as he bends down to pick up his daughter who giggles and dangles upside down out of his grasp, that he’s putting ear protection on a banshee- but he’s not about to risk damaging her hearing the way she obliterates his during a tantrum. He’s not really watching where he’s going, listening to the little girl rattle on about all the other kids she’d been playing with throughout the night and looking for Edgar around the same time- that’s probably why he smacks headlong into another man, groaning slightly and stepping back. “Oof, sorry man, wasn’t watchin’ where I was headed- million other things demanding my attention.” He explains. “this is a good nine hundred and ninety nine thousand of ‘em on its own.” laughter as he shifts his daughter off to a hip. “Hope I didn’t spill your drink or anything?”

“Parkley! What did I say about barkin’ at the fancy folk?” Rory rolls his eyes and adjusts his grip on the virgin margarita in his grasp as he levels a particularly fatherly look at the six year old who does little more than giggle and scamper off to likely repeat what she’s just done- barking like the dog she’s dressed as at the heels of some courtier who’s not expecting her. He lets out a sigh, watchful gaze barely leaving the white-clad form of his daughter, which is likely why he jumps with slight surprise when a hand finds his own free one. “Oh, it’s you, Eddie, spooked me a little.” He insists, pulling the other man in slightly to set a kiss on his temple with painted lips. “Saw ya talkin’ to Kirby. I already paid ‘em to harass October at some point before the concert.” He smirks, squeezing Edgar’s hand in his softly. “I thought I’d be... less okay with this.” he admits. He doesn’t really deal well with parties like these, reminding him too much of home. But he’s nearly 2 centuries divorced from it now. Dark eyes are soft as they regard the other man. “But I think I’m alright, I wish Fee had decided to come, though. Woulda been nice to get a halloween picture for my phone background where you can see us, yanno?”
