in afterglow, the part before they got together when tr wasn't sure if jj felt the same since he kept flirting with other girls. BUT ALSOOO!! IN SEALED!! this one would be more deeper, but i also think it could work?? like we know they used to be closer and jj cares about her even though they have been distant w/ each other. and i keep thinking about the scene where they're fixing the generator, like everything that tr says really gets him, because he values her opinion so much and she doesn't let his mistakes go as easily as the others. and so even though he really gets hurt sometimes by the things she says (i love angst omg), he still feels so drawn to her!!

hey! omg im so ready (and not ready at the same time) to see the possible angst that the “love triangle” is going to bring in sealed 💔 i’m excited to see the two of them getting together but i can tell i’m going to lose my mind with the angst, especially since (from what we know about tr) she’s probably going to feel so “guilty” abt it, knowing that jj and kiara had something before… ugh it’s going to be so good i can’t wait

i’ve also been loving afterglow so much!! the angst in that one is also going to be so good >>> i was curious to know what inspired you to start those stories or how you got the idea for them!! i think sealed by the storm is one of the most unique (and one of the best for sure!) in the obx fandom, and i think the plot/details of it are so great, so i was curious to see into your mind a little lol ❤️

the sneak peek was so great btw!! i’m so excited to see the flashbacks but i was also very very intrigued by tr’s inner thoughts. hopefully they start getting closer like they were before again 👀🤞 i’m very excited for the more “romance” moments between them 🤭

hi !!!! i'm also interested in seeing how the reader is going to react to a "love triangle" (used very loosely bc i hate love triangles hahaha) forming. she'd definitely never want to cross that line bc of kie but idk exactly how she'll navigate that (i say this like i'm not the one writing it)

oooo i love this question sm!! so for ag it's a pretty basic plot but fun fact: the entire concept of luke being the reason why jj wants to keep their relationship a secret didn't come up until a couple parts before part 12. originally it was going to be jj solely using the kook vs. pogue dynamic as an excuse but i realized in that version his actions were a lot less defendable & i guess i just wasn't ready to make him that toxic haha

thank you sooo much for your praise on sealed. that story is literally my baby, and i get so happy when you guys feel the same about it as i do <333 that story has also gone through a few different potential avenues that are quite different from where we're at rn, but originally, the idea came from literally just wanting to write a marriage of convenience plot with jj. it was hard with his character since he's not a kook, money wouldn't be a driving factor. and then i remembered when i watched pretty little liars when i was younger and i had a vague memory of i think hannah and caleb getting married to invoke spousal privilege (it could've been other characters i'm not sure) and i was like HELLO???? that's literally perfect for outer banks. like the show as comedic and fun as it is, is DARK!! hahaha so shoutout watching PLL with my older sisters when i wasn't supposed to

heyyyy i’ve been rereading the chapters for “sealed by the storm” and girlllll… IM SO OBSESSEDDD FRRRR 😭 the story got even better the second time lol!! i genuinely sometimes forget that it’s not canon, like it’s so much better than the actual s4 we got 🫢👀 now i need a full series rewrite following those two LMAO i’m joking but just know that i would give my firstborn for it, that’s how much i love the character and how you write everyone

also i’ve been loving the new updates on afterglow!! i’m enjoying the good times so much, i’m not ready for the angst that’s coming 🥲

AHHHHH firstly, i have to ask: how annoying was the pov change from third to second hahahaha

but i loveee hearing your thoughts on a second reread because i get kind of nervous that on a reread there might be continuity errors or things might seemed rushed. like esp because the story was so plot heavy early on.

You glance at him curiously, “What’s that?” 

“The girls,” He complains. Just as you're about to call him out of his name, his eyes trail down your figure and a teasing smirk passes across his lips. “But the selection’s not too bad here.” 

Your cheeks feel as warm as they had that night as the memory passes over you. That moment was one of many you’d forced yourself not to dwell on. The warming of your cheeks was exactly why you hated thinking about those early days with JJ. The more your cheeks warmed the more you’d have to acknowledge why. 

But suppressing those feelings, had made the other memories hazy. It was hard to remember that at one point JJ hadn’t just been someone you could enjoy your time with. He’d been one of the people who offered you comfort, sometimes when no one else was around. How many nights like these had you forced yourself to forget? If you combined them all, would they have been strong enough to make you hold on a little tighter to your friendship? 

He’d been there for you that night on Poguelandia when you couldn’t sleep because your mind wouldn’t shut off. He’d been there for you at the shack when you’d cut your finger, his hold gentle yet sure. He’d been there at the courthouse when everything felt too overwhelming. At the reception in Heyward’s backyard, when you felt alone, even with everyone’s eyes on you. Even the night you left Sarah’s house. You just hadn’t wanted to see it. You hadn’t wanted to acknowledge that he was caught up in the same storm.
